Beach or Poolside/Stranded
This is bad. This is very, very bad.
A loud snore and groan interrupted the boy’s internal monologue; the sound also causing him to tense up and emit his own noise—one of caution and discomfort. He looked around the room he was in, noting all the sleeping bodies that were occupying the space. While he cursed his predicament, it was only a matter of time before everyone sleeping also noticed what was happening.
Team RWBY and Team JNOR had opted to enjoy some time off together now that peace had been restored to Remnant for the most part. The defeat of Salem and the subsequent diminished volume of Grimm offered the remaining Huntsman and Huntresses more time off, so it should come as no surprise that both teams were blessed with a well-deserved vacation retreat, and what better place than a mountain house getaway?
The only problem now was the living space. Eight people traveling together was a well-sized to group, but with Ren and Nora now a couple, they were offered the main bedroom. Add to it, Oscar won the lottery game to occupy the other bedroom. All that remained was the left and living room. Of course, Team RWBY offered the loft space to Jaune as to not awkwardly assimilate him with four other girls. All four were used to sharing a space anyway, so it wasn’t much of a change.
Yes, that was indeed the plan…
Unfortunately, plans change. Once the drinking games started, it almost seemed like the boy had been targeted in a sense, as both Blake, Yang, and Nora had consistently made him consume more and more alcohol. He wasn’t an idiot but went along with their antics as he normally did. He also happened to notice that Ruby was also periodically in their sights after a while. So, as anyone would expect, the pair became more intoxicated than the rest, causing Ruby to fall asleep first on the couch she occupied with the blonde at the time.
Not long after the game had concluded, Jaune also found himself groggy and without much thought, also had passed out on said couch. The worst he could have imagined was that they may draw on his face, or hide his stuff, the normal dynamics these so-called “friends” usually engaged in when the opportunity presented itself.
“Mmmmmm.”
Please, if any of my braincells are working currently after all those drinks I consumed, I need to get out of this situation. THNK. THINK. THINK.
Jaune did his best to move without stirring the body that had so tightly found itself wrapped around his own frame. It seemed that half of Team RWBY and his own teammate had opted for a different play this time.
It couldn’t have been long after he fell asleep that Ruby had gone from her side of the couch all the way not only onto Jaune’s side, but on top of him with a death grip enveloped around his taller frame. The squeeze she gave was enough to wake him from a sound sleep and despite his grogginess, it didn’t take long to figure out what position he was in.
He was stranded. Plain and simple.
Now, the normal thing someone would do, is wake the person, you would think, right? Wrong. Flashback to a few months ago when these two had attended a dance club party one night with the other members of Team RWBY, Ruby had a few too many (3) drinks and found herself asleep standing up at the table they’d occupied. Jaune initially thought it was funny as Ruby could barely hold herself up, as did the rest of her team. Things quickly changed once he was stuck in the backseat of the car with her on the long drive home and needless to say she was a little… frisky to say the least.
The boy audibly gulped as he recalled the event. How she was nearly suffocating him in a deep hug while rubbing her hands on his chest. Yang was egging her on from the front seat, asking the girl about their “future together” and “how many babies she wanted?” The only issue here was they weren’t together.
While it was true Jaune had feelings for Ruby, he hadn’t found a way to pull the trigger on asking her out just yet. He made the clear mistake of letting Yang and Nora know his intentions one day, but after the dance club fiasco, and now with a getaway trip, it seemed they had their own plan in mind for both him and Ruby. How did he not see this coming?
I must figure a way out of this.
Luckily the others had fallen asleep or else they’d at the very least had taken pictures of this scene to later embarrass him or her later. He knew now he had to act quickly.
He scanned the room again, looking for something that would save him. One false slip up and Ruby might wake up and it could all be a disaster. He needed assistance. Assistance from someone he could trust. He needed Oscar. The one true friend that would help with this situation.
That’s when Jaune felt it. His scroll in his side pocket. His eyes widened in realization. If he could figure out how to slide it out and send a text message to Oscar, he may be able to help him in this drunken stupor.
Slowly and ninja-like, he moved his arm down to his side, still tightly engulfed in Ruby’s arms. He flinched for a moment when she grumbled in her sleep again, but only for a moment. Once she subsided, he stretcher his arm down, moving the articulation of his arm under hers so he could bring the scroll to his face when ready without issue. After that, he wiggled his fingers in the pocket before feeling it.
Holy shit, this might work.
Gently, he pulled at the device before gripping it tightly into his hand and retrieving it from the pocket. He could see the end goal now. Soon he will have vanquished the trio’s plot and escaped the clutches of a fate unknown.
It was only after he brought the scroll to his face, did a usurper make themselves known. With cat-like reflexes, the device was snatched from his person in the dark living room. His eyes grew wide as he identified this person as none other than the boy he had planned to contact, Oscar.
Jaune shook his head in denial as the boy methodically paced the room, rousing the other teammates from their sleep. All he could do was look on in shock and horror as Yang, Weiss, and Blake all gave the same smirk as they passed the boy en route to the open bedroom, giving the boy a “high-five” on the way.
It was only at this time did he realize that Oscar had gifted the three the extra bedroom and he would take the loft room down the hall instead. It made sense. He was only one person and could easily just need the small bed instead of jaune, and the extra bedroom as spacious enough for the other three. This night, or even this whole trip, from Oscar somehow winning the bedroom in the game, to Ruby falling asleep on him had been one big plan.
This wasn’t a trio’s plan… this was a full-on coup.
Once the girls had disappeared, Jaune could only plead with Oscar, who had an all-to-serious face adorned. The younger boy mouthed a few words in silence, so as Jaune could read them. He wasn’t particularly confident he got it all completely, but he believed it was: “This is for your own good.” Not long after, the boy disappeared from beside him, and based on what Jaune could hear, he then traversed the steps to the loft, before shutting the door quietly, much like the rest of Team RWBY had.
Soon, Jaune was left with nothing but himself, his thoughts, and a sleeping Ruby in the eerie silent and darkened room.
“Jauneeeee~”
Or so he thought.
Oh no…
The boy gulped loudly as he noticed the stirring girl, who had also noticed the predicament they were now in. Her slight grin turned into a near-wicked smile as he attempted to struggle in her grasp. He didn’t know what woke her, but he knew he was in for it now.
“You smell niceeeeeeee.” She cooed offering a slight lick of her lips.
“P-Please be gentle.”
She was not gentle.
