Summary
Heeseung was cruel, he knew that. He was quick witted and sharp tongued. And he wasn't above using those things to hurt Jake when he was angry or frustrated. Sometimes, Jake would wake up in the middle of the night, tears streaming down his face, the memory of Heeseung's harsh words echoing in his ears. But then, Heeseung would come in and crawl into bed with him, wrapping his arms around him, and whisper that he was sorry, that he didn't mean it, and Jake would believe him. Because to Jake, there was nothing more beautiful in the world than the shape of Heeseung's hands bruised into skin.
If anyone were to ask Jake why he stuck around despite all the warning signs,
