Work Text:
Hajime laid on his bed awake, his eyes felt heavy but he couldn't shut off his brain. Every time he fell asleep, even for a few seconds, he had horrible dreams. Dreams that replayed the gruesome deaths of his friends, over and over again. Despite this, he still really needed to fall asleep, even if it meant dreaming those terrible things.
Hajime rolled over, he lied on his side and stared at the wall, trying to forget the day, the island, and the inevitable death he will face.
The feeling of dread overtook him almost every night. There was nothing to distract Hajime when he was alone, so his mind went wherever it wanted. Hours passed, and Hajime's mind still wasn't calming down.
He was feeling a little warm, so he got up to open his window a bit, it might help him sleep, and Hajime would try anything to get at least three hours worth tonight.
He got up from bed, the wood floor creaking under his bare feet. Hajime walked towards the window and lifted it a little. It didn't open much, but it would suffice. Something caught Hajime's eye, he peered through the window and saw someone.
one of his classmates.
What the hell? Hajime was so tired, he thought he might have imagined it, but they appeared again, this time walking the other way. Hajime was very confused.
He walked over to the door and walked outside, not even thinking about the possibility of being hurt, or killed by whoever was roaming the cottages at night. But who he saw wasnt really all that surprising.
“Nagito?” Hajime sounded almost annoyed at him.
Nagito didn't respond, he didn't even glance over, he was just walking around. He seemed lost.
“Nagito..? What' the hell are you doing out here” Hajime still sounded slightly annoyed, that wasn't far off from how he was feeling, but it was growing into concern, there was still no type of reply.
Nagito turned around. he didn't register that Hajime was standing there. He walked toward him, his cold, gray eyes looking into nothing as he walked. “Hey, are you okay?” Hajimes voice was growing more confused than anything else.
He placed a hand on Nagito’s arm, causing him to jump. Nagito's eyes widened a bit, his hand went instinctively to his chest. “Oh..!” He looked around, now he really seemed lost. “Hajime, you scared me..”
Hajime was even more confused. “What were you doing out here?” His judgmental tone caught even himself off guard.
Nagito blinked, “ah… sorry Hajime,” he smiled as he spoke, “I tend to sleepwalk sometimes, I'm sorry if I caused you any trouble.”
“You sleepwalk? You haven't done that here before.” Hajime yawned at the end of his sentence, his eyes watering annoyingly.
Nagito paused, “I guess I've been stressed lately, and I forgot to lock my door. I don't mean to be in your presence for this long, Im truly sorry.” He began to walk away.
Hajime watched as he walked away, and just as he was about to do the same, the board Nagito stepped on snapped, and his foot went through it. Nagito's other knee hit the ground as his balance was thrown off, and the foot that had gone through the floor was still unseen.
Hajime walked over there without thinking about it and grabbed Nagito’s hand. “Are you alright, Komaeda?” he pulled him to his feet, and they both moved to the side.
Nagito dusted his hands off, "ah....how clumsy of me..."
His voice sounded pained.
"you don't have to worry about scum like me, Hajime.”
“I just want to make sure you didn't.. umm… break something..?” He didn't know if something like that would be able to break your bones but it looked like a pretty hard fall.
“Really Hajime, don't worry about me.” the pace Nagito was speaking became quicker, like he was rushing the conversation.
Hajime happened to look down for a second, and noticed through the dark that Nagito's foot was bleeding a little bit.
Nagito began to walk away, but faltered a little before he regained balance.
“Nagito let me help, you're bleeding.”
Nagito stopped walking, “if you say so, who am I to refuse an ultimate!” He walked back over to Hajime, he noticed a small limp in Nagito's step as he followed him into Hajime’s Cottage.
They both went inside and Hajime instructed Nagito to sit down on the couch while he went into the bathroom to retrieve some stuff.
He came back with a handful of cotton swabs and some medical peroxide. The stuff had already been in the medicine cabinet when he had first arrived on the island, but so far there was no need to use them.
He crouched down in front of Nagito and poured some peroxide on a swab and pressed it onto the cut, causing Nagito to let out a hiss through his teeth. “Oh sorry, it's going to hurt.” Hajime pulled the cotton swab away and looked up at Nagito, “are you okay?”
Nagito looked down at the boy on the floor, Hajime was on his knees, looking up at him. He looked so vulnerable. He couldn't help but think of Hajime servicing him like this, he knows that it's selfish, having someone else in the hands of his will, but his mind wouldn't stop, he felt his face heat up, blood rushed to his cheeks.
When Nagito snapped back into reality, Hajime was staring up at him, he was still sitting on his knees, and looked like he was waiting for a response. Nagito had forgotten the question, he stared at Hajime with a blank expression, trying to rid the dirty thoughts that swarmed his mind. “Ah, sorry Hajime, what was the question?” He tried to look as nonchalant as possible.
“The peroxide is going to sting a little, is that ok?” Hajime seemed annoyed that he had to repeat the question. He didn't even know why he was helping Nagito.
He caught himself looking up at him a little longer than he should have and he felt a strange sense of…arousal? That's one way to put it. He slowly turned his head downwards to where he was supposed to be disinfecting Nagito's wounds, and took in how Nagito looked at that moment. He was wearing his usual white shirt, and he was sitting in his underwear. He had no shoes or socks on, considering he was just in bed, that's normal. But the fact that Hajime is on his knees in front of his half naked classmate was anything but normal.
He took a shallow breath and re-soaked the cotton swab. Hajime pressed it to a decently sized cut on Nagito’s ankle, causing him to flinch a little. “Sorry,” Hajime apologized quietly.
“You don't have to apologize to me, Hajime.” Nagito looked down at him, his piercing gray eyes engulfed his entire being. “It's my fault for being so clumsy” Nagito's hand gently grasped Hajimes chin, his thumb pushing his jaw upward to properly lock eyes.
Hajime’s skin felt hot, his hair stood on end. “I-” he couldn't get a word out, he stared at Nagito’s lips as he spoke, not wanting to get trapped in his eyes. He knew he felt something towards Nagito, but why was he so flustered? And why did he have an erection in a situation like this?
Nagito suddenly sounded a lot more confident than he did before, “I love seeing you like this, Hajime” he spoke quietly, a small grin plastered on his face. “You're so vulnerable.”
Hajime’s throat felt dry. “Vulnerable..?” he thought of what that could mean, before getting pulled out of his own mind by Nagito’s words.
“I could have you do anything right now, you are at my disposal.” Nagito caressed the side of Hajimes face with his finger tips. Hajime didn't know where this was coming from, but there was that sick sense of arousal that coursed through his body with every word that entered his ears.
“Nagito…” he looked up, attempting to make eye contact and regain dominance, but found himself unable to meet the boy's gaze for more than a second without tightly clenching his eyes shut instinctively. “Why,” he breathed, “why are you acting like this?” he held his breath, waiting for an answer.
“dont pretend you don't enjoy this, Hajime.” Nagito smiled, “you get excited at the thought of being under my power.” Nagito leaned in close and planted a kiss on Hajime’s neck, inciting a small gasp from the brunette below him. Hajime’s face contorted, he wasn't dissatisfied, but something so small already elicited a noise from him. It was a little embarrassing, especially considering Hajime was trying to pretend he didn't care.
“i...i don't hate it...." he couldn't lie in this situation. Hajime was a bad liar in the first place, but right now, the weak lies made in his mind wouldn't pass his lips.
Nagito smiled, he pulled back a bit, maintaining eye contact. “Say it.” His hand was placed on Hajimes shoulder, his fingers traced the side of his neck and jaw slowly.
Hajime blinked at him, “....what..?” He understood what that meant, But he questioned him anyway.
“If you really do enjoy this, i want you to say it.” Nagito's eyes felt like daggers. “Tell me how much you like it when I overpower you, Hajime.'' The addition of his name at the end of the sentence was slowed, it made him realize the unusual position he was in, with Nagito Komaeda nonetheless, but still, he felt the urge to comply.
He took a shaky breath, trying to think of how he would word such a sentence. “I…i love when you overpower me, Nagito…” his words came out strained and unconvincing, as if his mind was unconsciously trying to save himself from embarrassment.
Nagito looked at him, he let out a small, raspy, maniac giggle, “im sorry, i didn't catch that. Could you repeat yourself?” he stroked Hajime’s hair.
Hajime glared up at him. “you're kidding…” he sighed.
Nagito wrapped a strand of hair around his fingers, “Hajime…”
“Do I really have to… say it again..?” Hajime asked, hoping he wasn't serious, it was awkward and a little weird saying it the first time.
Nagito tugged on the hair trapped in his hand. “Don't keep me waiting Hajime.” he smiled, his eyes narrowing.
Everything in Hajimes body was screaming at him to not comply, to not embarrass himself. But still, he pushed past it and spoke as clearly as he could in a situation like this.
“I love it when you overpower me Nagito…!” Hajime hated the sound of his own weak voice, though this time the sentence sounded a little more convincing.
he took in what was happening, he was on his knees in his own room, praising his half naked classmate at an ungodly hour of the night. Never in his life did he think this is where he’d be. Another tug of his hair brought him back. “Oww!”
“You can stand up now,” Nagito let go of Hajimes hair.
Hajime had initially forgotten why he was on the ground in the first place, he was supposed to be cleaning the cuts on Nagito's foot, not following his orders. But he couldn't deny that he really did enjoy this in some way.
Hajime stood up slowly, he noticed just how much his knees hurt from being in that position for that long, and how much it hurt to stand normally now.
“..Why....why did you make me do that..?” Hajime tried to look intimidating, but his red face and achy knees contradicted that.
Nagito looked confused. “I didn't make you do anything, Hajime. You didn't have to do anything I told you to do.” he smiled, “that further proved my point. You really do like it, don't you?”
Hajime didn't know how to respond, he sat there in silence, secretly hoping Nagito would leave and pretend that this never happened. He wanted to close his eyes and disappear.
The room is silent.
“Have you ever thought of what it would feel like to kiss me, Hajime?” The way Nagito spoke was calm, like what he was asking wasn't entirely invasive and weird.
“Umm…” Hajime looked away, he dug his nails into the palm of his hand. “...yes.....” he cleared his throat, “yeah...I have..” this is possibly the most uncomfortable conversation Hajime had ever had.
Nagito smiled as he spoke. “Do you want to know what that feels like? What it feels like to kiss me?”
Hajime could feel his eyes shaking, his legs still hurt from kneeling for so long. “Are you offering to kiss me..?”
Nagito looked so calm compared to Hajime.
“offering? That's bold, Hajime.” he smiled. “Is that what you think I'm doing?” Nagito avoided the question, why couldn't he just answer properly?
“That's what it sounds like,” Hajime mumbled, he couldn't find a way to speak with confidence after what happened. “I don't mind if that's what you're asking…” Hajime didn't even think about the words that left his mouth, he only realized the significance of what he had said when him and Nagito were partially embraced in each other's arms.
He felt Nagito's breath against his skin, he looked into his eyes for less than a second and immediately read his intentions.
Nagito's parted lips met Hajime’s, his eyes fluttered closed as their mouths pressed together. Nagito's hands pulled the small of Hajime's back closer, he could feel his heartbeat in his throat. Hajime didn't want this moment to stop. He felt Nagito's cold hands press into the back of his neck, his fingers exploring through his hair as they moved upward.
Hajime didn't know what to do with his own hands, or his own mouth. He had never had something like this happen before.
In the midst of all this, they started moving, and Hajime tripped and fell backward onto his bed, pulling Nagito on top of him.
The impact made them both stop for a second, gasping quickly for air. Hajime laid on his back, his chest rising and falling hastily. Nagito trailed kisses down Hajime's jawline, moving to the base of his neck. He used the tip of his tongue to leave a thin line of saliva from the top, to the bottom of Hajime's throat, and blew cold air onto it, causing Hajime to let out a shaky exhale.
Nagito nipped at the skin next to Hajime's throat, sucking gently until small red and purple welts were left.
Hajime let out small strangled gasps that teetered on the edge of whimpers. He was desperate to not make too much noise, he hated how he sounded like this, but the feeling of teeth on his skin was irresistible.
Hajime gripped the blankets tightly between his fingers, causing his knuckles to ache.
The intense pleasure that coursed through his body came to an abrupt stop, the grip on his blankets slowly released, and he watched as his chest moved with his quick, deep breaths. Hajime hadn't even noticed he closed his eyes until he could see again.
He sat up, and looked at Nagito. He stood in front of him, smiling. “You don't want to go too far, Hajime” he walked toward the door, “especially with trash like me.” Nagito stepped outside. “Goodnight, Hajime.” He closed the door. And Hajime was left alone, and unsatisfied.
