When he turned the corner, he observed him standing motionless with his back turned, his hands at shoulder height. He seemed so calm in the middle of that lonely alley, as if he had everything under control. He frowned and immediately stopped his advance.
"What do you want?" he asked harshly. His weapon pointing at his head at all times.
The response was an unsettlingly attractive and incredibly familiar laugh.
"It is you who has pursued me here, officer."
