It was a normal day in Midtown, New York, Midtown high was on a field trip to Oscorp where Peter Parker was taking pictures for the school newspaper. Peter stares at his crush, Mary Jane Watson. “Go talk to her Pete.” Said Peter’s best friend, Ned Lee
“If you don’t I will” piped in Peter’s other best friend, Harry Osborn.
“Do you guys really think I have a shot with her?” He asks his friends, tempted to go talk to her.
“No but it’s worth a shot.” Ned states
“Worst she can say is no.” Harry says while he pushes Peter to her.
As he sheepishly walked over to her the tour guide started talking so he froze right behind her “These are our 15 genetically modified super spiders.”
“There’s 14” Gwen Stacy corrected. The Guide ignored her and moved on.
Peter works up the courage to finally talk to MJ “H..Hey Mary Jane is it… I was wondering” he takes a long pause “ if I could take a picture of you for the paper I need one with a student in it.” Harry and Ned roll their eyes as MJ poses for the pictures.
While Peter is taking the pictures of MJ and the exhibit the missing spider lowers itself onto Peter’s hand and bites him, he swats it way flinging it across the room as it crawls onto another person, Cidney Moon and bites her too she screams out “a spider bit me” security realizes what happens and take her away deeper into Oscorp tower.
Peter’s head starts to spin a little but when he finally settles down and adjusts he notices MJ is gone before he could muster up the courage to ask her out. Ned and Harry walk up to their friend
“Maybe next time Pete, maybe next time” Harry says patting him on the back
“That bad huh” Peter sighs
“Bad is an understatement” Ned tells him.
After the trip Peter goes home to his Aunt May and Uncle Ben
“How was the trip Pete” his Uncle asks
“It was fun” Peter says defeated running up the stairs he shuts his door grabs his remote and locks his door and lays down in his bed face first feeling bummed he didn’t ask his crush out. After moping around he moves to his computer and uploads the photos to his computer
Ben Parker knocks on the door Peter grabs his remote unlocking the he door the old man walks into the room
“Neat trick” he says referring to the remote controlled lock on his door
“Reminds me of something your old man would of made” He sits down on Peter’s bed
“Who’s that” he says pointing at his nephew’s computer screen showing a zoomed in photo of MJ
“I..it’s no one” he says struggling to turn the screen off.
The old man chuckles “What you got there” the kid asks
“It’s your dads old suitcase I found it going threw the basement I figured you’d want it” he gets up from his bed and leaves the beat up suitcase laying there
“I never went through it because it’s not mine but it’s yours now Pete” he leaves Peter alone in the room with his fathers suitcase.
He starts looking threw the suitcase he finds a pair of glasses that he puts on and finds some files on a Oscorp project that his father worked on with a Doctor Connors. The file says they were trying to mix human and animal dna specifically with spiders and lizards Oscorp wanted to see if they could make an advance army of humans with spider powers but it got shut down when Richard Parker went missing.
Pete grabs his bag and runs down stairs
“I’ll be back in just gonna grab some eggs” he shouts as he exits the door not waiting for a response from his aunt or uncle. He hops on his skateboard and rides it to Oscorp. He gets there and walks up to the lady at the front desk
“I’m here to see Doctor Connors” he says
“Internship name tags are on the left” the lady at the desk says
“huh” he says with a confused look on his face
“You are here for the internship right?” She asks him
“Oh yeah right” he says as he grabs a random name tag
“Ok Mr…Maridueña?” She says, confused why this white dude has a Hispanic last name
“Gracias” he says, waving his badge while walking away.
He meets up with the other interns and sees his friend, Gwen Stacy leading the tour and he tries to cover his face so she doesn’t recognize him.
“Please stick with the group or you will be escorted out by security” Gwen says to the crowd of interns she leads them to Doctor Connor’s lab where the one armed man takes over talking
“Good afternoon, my name is Doctor Curtis Connors, I study Herpetology here at Oscorp…” Gwen sneaks her way to stand next to the poorly hidden Peter Parker
“What are you doing here Parker” she asks aggressively “You’re not supposed to be here”
“Since when do you work at Oscorp” Peter asks confused
“For a couple months now but that’s not the point you shouldn’t be here”
“I think Doctor Connors might know something about my parents”
“what”
“yeah I need to talk to him, do you think you can help” he asks
“Damn it Parker fine but you owe me big time”
Gwen goes and leads the group to a different part of Oscorp while Peter stays behind and follows Connor’s to his office
“I’m sorry your supposed to be with the group I’m gonna have to get security” the doctor says trying to shut the door on him
“My name is Peter Parker” he freezes and opens the door
“You used to work with my dad Richard Parker” He invites Peter into his office. The Doctor pours both of them a cup of coffee.
“If you want to know where your Dad went I have no idea he just disappeared” The Doctor says disappointed like he wanted to help but can’t
“That’s what i thought you’d say but could you explain to me this project you were working on with him the spider army” he says handing him the files
“It was an old project that didn’t really go anywhere the spiders showed no change in there DNA and the humans who were being tested didn’t make it out alive” as Pete is listening to the Doctor speak he notices a fly flying and grabs it super fast with no difficulty he looks at the fly in shock that he could move that fast
“I wish I could help more Pete but that’s all I know” Disappointed still not knowing where his family is Pete rides the subway home and lays down to take a nap his headache from the field trip came back so he needed some rest.
While on the train a random dude sets his beer on Peters forehead while he sleeps laying across 2 seats to see if he can balance it and impress his friends when a drop slides down the bottle Peter reacts to it before it hits him he jumps out of the seat and onto the roof spilling the beer all over the random dudes girlfriend Pete sticks to the wall for a solid second before dropping to the floor looking confused on how he did that.
“Ugh now I smell like beer” the chick says Pete places his hand on her shoulder to try and apologize
“I..I’m sorry I didn’t mean to do that” he tries to remove his hand but it’s stuck to her shirt
“Get your hand off my girl” says the random dude “I’m trying I’m sorry” He pushes Pete into the pole causing her shirt to rip the man clearly pissed tries to swing at Peter but he just dodges it and kicks him to the ground when he realizes he’s now stuck to the pole.
“Wow man I’m sorry are you alright” Pete asks the dude on the floor” his friends start to attack Peter and he reacts instantly kicking them all to the floor while stuck on the pole until it snaps loose and he hits the first dude in the head on accident one of them pick up Peter’s skateboard and tries to hit him over the head with it but Peter blocks it with his hands
“No not my board man what the hell” his board is split in two he turns around to look at the guy behind him who was about to swing at him causing the pole he’s stuck too to hit both of the guys knocking them out
“I’m so sorry” he says one last time before the pole and the remains of the girls shirt unstuck from his hands
“Nice fighting kid” a guy on the train then hands him his business card which is clearly drawn with crayons the name says Wade Wilson he’s an assassin for hire he pockets the card confused and gets off the train and runs home. Peter tries to sneak in quietly threw the kitchen door when Uncle Ben and Aunt May catch him
“Where have you been young man” Ben says worried and angry at the same time
“Out” Peter says as he raids the fridge taking a ton of food
“where’s the eggs you were in such a hurry to get” Ben responds
“I forgot the eggs” Peter says trying to get pass Ben to go to his room with his hands full of food
“You forgot, how convenient and why do you smell like beer” his uncle says getting angrier by the minute
“Some jerk on the train thought it would be funny to dump beer on people. It's whatever can I please go now I’m so hungry” Peter says as if he’s starving
“Fine, go” his uncle says with a sigh. Pete runs to his room and eats all the food quickly. As Pete runs into his room he turns on his tv and WWE starts playing he locks his door and starts stuffing his face while he’s eating he realizes he can do what those guys do if not more so he goes online and looks for a wrestling match he can fight in to earn some extra cash he starts designing his outfit using a red mask with swimming goggles where the eyes are,a black hoodie with a big red triangle that starts from the hoodie down stopping at his chest and to finish the costume he paints a spider onto the red part of the chest to honor his fathers work sense it was all over his files The next day Peter heads to class with his new suit in his bag hidden. He walks to his locker and notices a couple making out against his locker he tries to pry his locker open he squeezes his bag in and lets go of the door while the couple slams it shut and Peter walks to the gym annoyed. Flash Tompson and some other jocks are playing basketball when they notice Ned Lee sitting on his laptop in the bleachers
“Hey watch this” Flash says planning something he throws the basketball at Ned hitting his laptop out of his hands
“What the fuck Flash you did that on purpose” Ned yelled at the bully
“Oopsie it must of slipped” Peter gets up and grabs the ball he walks in front of Flash
“Pass it Parker”
“Why don’t you take it from me” Flash walks up to Peter and tries to take it from him but Peter puts the ball in his other hand so fast causing flash to miss. Flash tries again but the same thing happens starting to get annoyed he rushes him but Peter moves out of the way and throws the basketball at him bouncing it off of him and catching it the class starts laughing at Flash
“Just take it here I’ll help” Peter sticks his hand out and uses his other to cover his eyes Flash tries to grab it but it’s no use it’s like it’s stuck to his hand then backs up knowing he can’t take it the class boos flash while Peter starts dribbling the ball ready to dunk it
“Come on Parker” Flash yells Peter rushes the hoop knocking flash to the ground he jumps up and dunks it causing the backboard to break and the rim to fall he stands there looking around standing in a puddle of broken class as the class pauses in silence then everyone starts clapping cheering.
Peter gets called to the principal's office they tell him he needs to pay for the damages until Harry Osborn walks in
“I’ll cover it” Peter looks up at his best friend they let him go and the two walk to class
“Hey thanks for having my back man” Peter says
“No problem Pete if it wasn’t for you I’d probably stuck in high school for the rest of my life” Harry says as the two laugh
“Hey Harry I have a question you wouldn’t know anything about a Spider human army at Oscorp would you” Peter asks desperately trying to find out anything he can on his father’s last project
“What no” Harry chuckles
“Have you been looking at rumors online again about how Oscorp is this evil company trying to rule the world it’s all fake even if there was a project like that I wouldn’t know I don’t really pay attention to my dad’s work why”
“It was a project my dad was working on before my parents disappeared I think it can help me find them” Peter says desperate
“Oh dang sorry I couldn’t help good luck Pete if you need anything let me know if you need anything I can get you as many free tours of Oscorp as you need” he says trying to bring some humor to the situation the bell rings and the two separate.
Pete goes to his locker and grabs his back and then rushes over to his wrestling match he runs into the restroom and gets change he rushes out to the stage for his moment
“Will the next victim please step into the arena at this time” the announcer yells over the speaker Peter walks in
“what’s your name kid” the announcer whispers to Pete
“I’m the human spider” he responds “That’s the best you got that sucks” he says whispering to Pete
“Now introducing THEEEEE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN the crowd boos him and throws popcorn at him as he steps into the ring metal bars lower from the roof caging the two in
“Hey freak show your going nowhere I got you for 3 minutes 3 minutes of play time” Bonesaw the wrestler says to Pete as the time starts Bonesaw rushes Pete similar to the way Flash rushed Peter so he jumps over the buff wrestler and lands in his iconic pose someone from the outside slides a metal foldable chair threw the bars and hands it to Bonesaw he grabs the chair and tries to swing it at Pete but he catches it and takes it from him knocking him out
“3…2....1 WE HAVE OUR WINNER THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN” Pete gets his money and skates home when uncle Ben stops him at the door.
“Where have you been? You can’t keep staying out late like this.” His uncle says worried
“I was in the library studying with Harry it’s fine” he tries to walk in but Ben won’t let him
“Your school called they told us you broke a basketball hoop and bullied a kid”
“That’s not entirely what happened” Pete says
“Oh so you didn’t break a basketball hoop and embarrass a kid in front of the entire class” Uncle Ben says getting angrier
“Well when you put it like that it sounds bad” Peter says defeated
“it is bad Peter, You can’t bully a kid in front of the whole school” his uncle says
“But…” Peter tries to explain himself but Ben cuts him off
“But nothing Peter go to your room your grounded” Peter shoulder checks his uncle as he runs to his room he throws his bag onto the bed his mask falls out and he just stands there looking at it as Ben walks into the house and May instantly starts arguing with Ben
“Your to harsh on the boy” she says angry not at Ben but at the situation
“Your defending him again why do you always take his side” Ben say’s frustrated
“I’m not taking his side..” May says defending herself
“yes you are defending again…” Ben says agitated
“I’m not I’m just saying your being harsh now go apologize” she demands he sighs as he starts walking up the stairs and knocks on the kids door
“Hey Peter we need to talk” no response comes from the room he opens the door to see an open window and a missing Peter Parker.
Peter walks into a store and buys a chocolate milk when he gets to checkout he realizes he’s two cents off he takes a penny from the penny tray
“you can’t take a penny” the cashier says Peter zones back into reality and leaves his mind “huh”
“You can leave a penny but you can’t take a penny” “that’s stupid”
“I miss the part where that’s my problem” “whatever dude” Peter leaves his chocolate milk on the counter and starts walking to the door when suddenly his head starts hurting and he hears a gun click he turns around to see a dude with long hair a beard and round sunglasses
“open the register and give me a pack of smokes” the man looks familiar to Peter like he’s seen him before but he can’t figure it out the man grabs Peter’s chocolate milk and passes it to him Pete catches it with no effort and decides to leave and let the man continue to rob the store after Peter leaves he holds the door open for the crook as he dashes out with the cash and the cigarettes the cashier asks Pete
“why didn’t you stop him”
“I miss the part where that’s my problem”
As uncle Ben chases down Peter he sees a man who robbed the store and hears the cashier yelling after him he tries to stop the crook but the man shoots him instead Peter turns around and sees his uncle fall to the ground the crook runs off not to be found Pete runs to his fallen uncle
“Uncle Ben Uncle Ben?!?!” Pete cries his uncle not responding
Aunt may hears a knocking at her door and opens it to see Peter accompanied by cops he instantly hugs her crying
“What’s happening where’s Ben?” May questions the cops and Pete cries louder the cops explain to her what happened and she starts crying too. After awhile Peter and May are sitting at the table and show them a picture and asks “is this the man you saw” Peter sees the long hair the scruffy beard and instantly recognizes him
“Yes that’s him that’s the man who killed Uncle Ben” Peter says with anger in his voice
“His name is Adrian Toomes he’s a former scientist at Oscorp he got fired for unknown reasons” that’s where Peter knew him from he read some of his research papers now all he just wants him dead “can I keep that photo” Pete asks the cops”
“sure” he says handing him the paper
That night Peter didn’t sleep he stayed up studying Toomes to see if he can track him down as he gets up from his desk to go to bed he sees his stack of old comics and sees all of the characters wearing masks so he gets out of bed and finds the outfit he used to win the money from wrestling and was ready to hunt down his uncle's killer.
