Summary
A failed assassination attempt leaves Lucifer with a festering holy injury that won’t heal up on its own. Having no recourse for treatment in a place populated entirely by demons, he opts to just leave it alone and see what happens.
What happens is a holy poison burns the sin from his body, leaving him confused, apathetic, and unable to properly communicate. His daughter and her friends scramble to find a solution before heaven notices that the hotel’s most powerful defender is out of commission.
Meanwhile, Alastor has his sights set above his station, and a natural talent for soundwave manipulation leaves him the only resident capable of translating for the prodigal king. Surely he doesn’t intend to manipulate Lucifer into helping him achieve his goals. And surely he doesn’t have his sights set on heaven itself. Surely not.
An excruciatingly slow-burn about communication, defiance, and destroying the people you love for personal gain. Eventual happy ending.
