    A2 and A4 self-destruct in the machine server. They expect to die together without any sort of afterlife. Ten years later, they meet in a world that was lost eight thousand ago. Or, perhaps more accurately, an AU where the NieR Gestalt/Replicant crew is replaced with A2's original squadmates (and, of course, 2B as something resembling Yonah.)
