My Darlin'

Summary:

Harry learns he is pregnant and tells Louis at one of his concerts. Do you think that would be the hardest thing to do but once management gets involved will everything be smooth sailing?

Notes:

This is a story as all of these characters are characters. I hope you enjoy the story.

Work Text:

“Wait, you're six weeks pregnant?” Gemma question. Her voice was in complete shock. Harry knew the feeling. He had been feeling off and sick for a few weeks. Nothing too much but he knew he needed to go to the doctor soon before rehearsals for his tour started. After every test the doctor could think of, she walked in with the biggest grin.

“Does Louis know?”Gemma questioned once again.

“Bloody hell, of course not,” Harry yelled. Louis was on tour right now himself. All Louis knew was Harry was feeling somewhat sick but paid no mind to it.

Harry looked up at the clock to see that it said 2 am which meant Louis would be getting on stage and he should be getting his personal Livestream. They had one for each other when the other couldn't make it. Both boys knew they had thousands of fans supporting them but at the end of the day, only one person’s support mattered the most.

“Louis’s on tour in the States right now. Actually in New York. Gemma, I'm pulling up the live stream as we continue this conversation.” Just as he connected the TV, he saw Louis performing Out of My System.

Harry leaned back on the couch as another wave of nausea washed over him. Being it was 2 in the morning didn't help the tiredness either but hearing Louis sing songs written about him and for him made things a little better. Harry ran a hand over his stomach which was now a slight curve. He thought it was bloating but it turned out to be a baby. A stylinson baby.

“When are you going to tell Louis?” Gemma asked just as Louis began his first thank yous of the night.

That's the thing Harry didn't know. He didn't want to wait until Louis returned, which would mean another six weeks. That would be way too long to wait. Louis wouldn't be mad that Harry waited to tell him but he definitely would be hurt. Harry thought about doing it over FaceTime but that was so impersonal. This was their first kid, they should be able to celebrate together in person.

“Well, Lou will be in Los Angeles in two days. I have an appointment tomorrow for an ultrasound and then I could surprise him there.” Harry smiled as he heard the line still liked to wear my jumper as he was wearing one of Louis’s. His vintage Umbro one he rarely wears anymore.

Gemma jumped up, wrapping her arms around Harry's neck. Harry did the same, giving her a little squeeze. Once they pulled apart Gemma laid a hand on Harry's belly and looked deep into his eyes.

“I'm so excited for the two of you. You both are going to be amazing parents. I feel you may have a rockstar on your hands.”

Harry laughed knowing that would be the truth. Gemma gave a quick kiss on his forehead and left. Harry closed his eyes as Louis sang 505 having fond memories of that song and knowing this little one was created during it.

“Of course, you will be a rockstar, just like your daddy. Just promise me you won't jump into crowds like he does. I lost that argument years ago with him but you will listen to your mama right.”
—-------------------------
Harry was used to traveling. That has been his job for the last 14 or so years. Sneaking in the back of the airport to his and Louis' private jet felt nerve-wracking since he was also traveling with a world-ending secret. No one was supposed to know, especially not before Louis. So, here he was in his baggiest jumper and cardigan combo. This way not even his team could expect him pregnant even though no one could tell.

Harry patted his pocket with the sonogram as he took a deep breath taking each step slowly. He was to embark on an eleven-hour flight with his security team to surprise his husband. The thing was Harry had no clue how Louis was going to feel about this. He knew Louis was great with kids and they both wanted a few well maybe Louis wanted more than a few. He commented that he wanted a football team.

This was a terrible time to bring a kid into the mix. Right? Louis’s solo career was just finding legs after all of the setbacks. Harry was still touring his third album and started to work on his fourth. They both loved what they did. How were they going to entertain a child into that? They already rarely saw each other even though the two-week rule helped but it wasn't always feasible.

Harry rubbed his tummy lightly when he thought about a child that was their perfect mix of green eyes, curly blondish brown hair with high cheekbones, and a straight nose. Their smile just like Louis’s with crinkles on each side of the eyes. The breath Harry was holding subsided.

Harry would be okay taking some time off or a lot of time off as they traveled with Louis—their child in his arms with big headphones dancing to their daddy's songs. Louis smiled to the left at every chance he got. Yeah, everything would be okay, Harry thought.
—--------------------
“Harry,” Ollie shouted as Harry walked towards the back of the stage. Harry threw a finger to his lips to tell Louis's best friend, who was the one keeping him alive on tour, to quiet down.

“Oliver, Louis doesn't know I'm here. I would like to keep it that way.” Harry whispered.

Ollie nodded and walked away leaving Harry alone with the team of trusted people in their inner circles.

Harry crossed his arms, smiling as he listened to Louis perform. Each song was better than the next. Louis was a musical genius but Harry already knew that. When the part of Back to You came around and Harry heard the crowd shout I love him, he had to laugh.

They've never tried hiding their relationship, they both decided there was no need to promote it. Harry and Louis were together and married and now welcoming a baby into the world. At the end of the day, it was nobody's business except their own. They were artists first, not celebrities. Harry and Louis felt like what they did was their job so they could come home and be Lou and Hazza when the day of work was over.

The first chords of 7 began to play, leading the crowd to scream. Harry could hear Louis laughing right before the lights came up. Right as Louis sang Larry called a load of smoke in, he turned and spotted Harry. Harry smiled and waved as Louis continued to sing. Louis was walking towards him but Harry shook his head no so, Louis could continue to perform.
—-------------------
Louis enjoyed playing in the States but was so glad he could get a break after the LA show. He missed England or, more importantly, a curly-haired lad lying on their couch watching his show waiting for him to return home.

His plan tonight was to leave right after the show on the first flight to London to surprise Harry with a full English breakfast and some flowers. He knew his love wasn't feeling great for the last few weeks but Harry promised him he was fine. Deep down, Louis thought he was right as Harry always got sick. So, some honey and tea with a little bit of rest was all he would need.

Louis was in shock as he saw Harry standing backstage with a smile. It took everything in him not to run off stage and scoop him into his arms but he had to finish this particular song first. If he didn't the crowd would probably attack.

“You've been an amazing crowd. One of the loudest on this leg. This means we want to give you everything we have, but right now we gotta take a quick intermission.” Louis ran off as the lights dimmed down.

“Hey, sunflower,” Harry said as Louis grabbed and spun him around. “Hey, put me down.”

Louis released as he heard the seriousness in Harry's voice. Louis checked him over and was curious at what he was wearing and then he saw how pale he was. Harry's green eyes were darker compared to the rest of him.

Louis wrapped an arm around Harry's shoulder walking him towards his dressing room where Harry threw up in the trash can before Louis could even close the door.

“Hey, babe, what's wrong,” Louis continued to rub Harry's back as he began to sob.

“I didn't want to tell you like this. I wanted to wait until after your show so we could really talk.”

Louis gave Harry a complex look as Harry handed him a photograph. No, not just a photograph, a sonogram of a little peanut-shaped thing.

“What the fook,” Louis whispered.
—--------------
Harry went and sat down on the nearby couch. He brought his hands to his face as he tried to slow his rapid breathing. This was different from how he planned it on the plane. Harry would watch the show and Louis would come off after Silver Tongues. Harry and Louis would sit and talk calmly. Instead, Harry gets sick in the middle of the show and Louis stares at a picture of their child.

Tears stream down his cheeks. “I'm so sorry Louis.”

“For what Harry,” Harry could feel Louis's arms tight around him. The scent of sweat and cigarettes engulfed him. It's the only smell that hasn't made him nauseous in weeks.

“For springing this on you. You've got your show to finish and now I'm crying my eyes out because I don't know what you will say. I want you to leave but also really miss you. I could stay wrapped in your arms forever.”

Louis pushed back his hair as it was now getting slightly long enough that he may have to bring his clip back out, to place a slight kiss to his temple. Harry laid his head on Louis's shoulder, closing his eyes as he began to feel very tired.

“ Babe, I've missed you too. I'm really glad you're here. Fook the show. The fans will understand because we're having a baby.”

Harry looked up to see Louis's eyes glistening with tears. His crinkles became more prominent over the years but they were the same eyes he fell in love with since he was sixteen.

“Yeah honey, we're having a baby.” Harry smiled.

Louis snaked a hand under Harry's shirt rubbing the spot just below his belly button where their baby was growing.

“When did you find out,” Louis asked, traveling his hand along Harry's Laurel tattoos.

“A couple of days ago. After I got off the phone with you on Sunday I made a doctor's appointment and they were like you're pregnant and six weeks along. I told Gemma as we watched New York.” Harry explained as Harry traced a finger along Louis' scar from his broken arm.

“Bloody hell, that means I knocked you up and ran like some wanker at the pub.” Louis grimace.

Harry laughed, shaking his head. “No, Lou, you could never be a wanker. Well in that sense.”

Louis rolled his eyes laughing.

“You know you got me pregnant during 505 right.” Harry snickered at how big Louis' eyes grew.

“Bloody hell, I already love performing that song but knowing this little one was created during it, it's going to be even better.”

Before Harry could say another word there was a knock on the door to signal for Louis to get back on stage. Louis huffed but got up bending to kiss Harry.

“Are you coming, babe?”

“No, I'm exhausted. I will see you after the show.” Louis nodded. Harry's eyes drifted close as he heard the door creak open. “Tomlinson, don't say a word.”

“I promise Styles,”

“Tomlinson,” Harry mumbled as sleep drifted over him.
—----------------
Louis stepped on stage with thousands of screaming fans. He rubbed the inside of his palm where his 28 tattoo resided. His version of a wedding ring. All he wanted to do was scream that he and Harry were going to have a baby but he knew he couldn't do that. For the safety of Harry and the baby, it was best to keep to themselves.

“You guys have been the best fooking crowd tonight. I just want to say thank you for singing my songs and enjoying them. Each of them means something to me. If that means about a person or event in my life. Now I hope they have a special meaning for all of you. I just want to say one last thing before we have to say goodbye. I'm fooking buzzing for some kiwi. Here's silver tongues.”

Twitter that night

BlueGreen28: Did Louis just say he was buzzing for Kiwi?

Bluebandna17: 🥝 =Harry=BABY? LARRY STYLINSON BABY

Goldenharrysue_28: Rumors are saying Harry was at the show last night. Someone spotted Oli talking to a figure in all black. Could this possibly be the famous shadow?
Reply- Princesspark2010: This might be why there was such a weird intermission after 7. I hope Harry is okay.
Reply-Goldenharrysue_28: I have a feeling he is since Louis continued the show and seemed more excited than scared.
—---------------------
Louis walked back into his dressing to find Harry asleep on the couch. Louis didn't want to wake him but it was time to get on the tour bus and then the plane. Thankfully a quick meet and greet satisfied the fans enough for them to all leave.

“Hey, babe, it's time to go home,” Louis whispered as he gently brushed Harry's hair off of his forehead.

Harry squirmed making a protesting noise that he didn't want to get up. “I know Harry but it is. I'm going to get into the shower real quick and then we are out of here.”

Louis stood up, placing a kiss on Harry's nose. As he walked away he felt a tug on his hand pulling him back to the couch.

“Can I join you?” Harry asked, looking up at Louis with the softest eyes.

“Of course baby,” Louis pulled Harry to his feet and guided him into the closet of a shower. There was only enough room for them to stand chest to chest.

Harry pressed his back against the wall, closing his eyes. Louis couldn't wait to be home, in bed so he could wrap Harry in his arms.

Louis pulled each piece of clothing off of Harry leaving just in his boxers. Louis was surprised by how much Harry's body had already changed. The slight curve just below his belly button. Louis placed hands on each of the Laurels, then bent down to lay a kiss on the curve.

“Hi, baby. It's Daddy. I love you.” And he did.

“I think I want to stay with you for the rest of the tour and walk away from my career for a little bit,” Harry whispered.

Louis stood up placing his hands on either side of Harry's face. He couldn't believe what Harry was saying. Music was their lives and he was stepping away for him and their baby.

“Are you sure?”

“Yes, I want to hide away until this little one is born. I want no one except for our trusted circles to know even after they are born. I want her away from the spotlight.”

Louis stroked Harry's cheek with his thumb. He agreed with everything Harry said. Privacy was their number one concern. Louis was a little afraid of the idea of Harry being on tour with him meaning he would be away from his doctor but that could be discussed tomorrow.

“So, you think a girl.”

Harry shrugged his shoulders. “Say it's mother's intuition.”
—--------------------
The night Louis and Harry returned home after Louis' last six weeks, they both crashed on their bed. Louis wrapped his arms around Harry's much more prominent bump.

Harry was officially twelve weeks. He could see it and his clothes felt it. Most of his favorite shirts fit snug and he could no longer borrow Louis' clothes. The last week of the tour was hard to hide due to the overwhelming nature of people around them at all times. Harry had to get creative until they were back home by holding a pillow or standing behind objects. Just so no one could suspect. That didn't work on Ollie though and he clocked Harry's pregnancy within two days after he caught Harry throwing up in the bathroom.

“Oi, you're pregnant,” Oli commanded.

“Oliver shut up and close the bloody door,” Harry demanded a gesture to the red-headed lad to close the door.

“Yes, I am but no one knows except my sister and Louis. And no one can until we get back home to share with everyone. If this got out before you know how pissed Lottie would be.”

Ollie crossed his arms, shaking his head. Oli had some run-ins with Lottie a time or two. Those Tomlinsons were a sassy and stubborn bunch.

“Okay, well people are starting to ask questions like why are you here and how long are you staying.”

“What! I can't surprise my husband on tour without everyone freaking out.”

Oli shook his head no. “Not with your type of management. Did they have backup photos to place you a million miles away from here?”

Now it was Harry's turn to cross his arms and huff. As Harry said earlier, they didn't deny their relationship but on the other hand, his management did like to cover it up. Soon Harry would be free from that in the coming months because their tactics would never work with a baby bump or a baby.

“They don't know I'm here.”

Oli scoffed, “Sure mate and I'm the queen of fucking England.”

Harry didn't rebuttal, there was no use. Oli was a Doncaster boy just like his and sometimes it was best to leave the conversation.

Harry began moving around Oli to leave knowing Louis was probably looking for him. Sound check was in five minutes and Louis liked him to sing back up for She is Beauty and we are world class. It made the fans go while on Twitter.

“Wait, can I be godfather?” Oli asked.

Harry stopped with his hand on the knob. The kid was barely cooking and Oli was asking that.

“Um, you know Louis would never agree to that.”

Oli stumbled backward from the statement Harry uttered. Harry didn't mean to make that sound harsh. Harry liked Oli and trusted him for fourteen years of his life. Louis trusted him with him being his personal assistant and everything but Oli could also be Oli.

“Oliver I didn't mean that in a bad way but you know it's true.”

Oli shook his head in agreement.

“Besides you would be in competition with Mitch and Niall. You have to admit that it is a strong lineup.”

“You're right ‘arry but hey I will be the fun uncle.”
—---------------------------
“Sun, our appointment is in an hour,” Louis called from downstairs of their house. Today was the day they would be having their first official ultrasound with a heartbeat and everything. Harry even read that they would be able to see a face. Louis was more than excited. He had been excited since he found out on that night in L.A.

Louis always loved kids and growing up with a big family he kinda wanted his own. He just wasn't sure when with the way both his and Harry's careers were going. They both loved music so much but Louis could feel himself loving this baby more. So much so that the room soon-to-be nursery was full of Adidas and Burberry onesies. Harry didn't know about that and Louis hoped he wouldn't until the room was done.

“Sun, are you coming,” Louis called again. Louis bounded up the steps to find Harry standing in just his boxers, staring at the closet full of clothes. The world thought Harry Styles' closet would be full of suits and sparkly jumpsuits but Harry Tomlinson’s closet was ripped jeans and graphic tees.

Louis came around snaking his arms around Harry's middle caressing his bump. Big enough to see if he wore just a tee shirt but hid well enough in a jumper or jacket. Thankfully it was January in London.

Louis placed a kiss on the inside of Harry's neck allowing him to smell the very expensive Gucci clone. “‘Arry, why aren't you dressed? We gotta go like now.”

Harry whimpered, making Louis spin him around. Harry quickly brought his hands to his face but not before Louis could see the tears on his face.

“Fucking hormones. I don't know why I'm crying. One second I'm trying to find something to wear which logically I know would be hard but then I put on three pairs of pants and none of them fit.” Harry cried.

Louis looked over Harry's shoulder to see the pile of pants and shirts.

“Like I'm being ridiculous.”

Louis thumbed away Harry's tears and stepped around him to find his Adidas trainers with the elastic band he knew were slightly big before. Then he combed through his shirts to find a light blue tee with nothing on it. He then walked back placing a light kiss on Harry's lips and a taste of strawberry exploded over his taste buds.

“You are not ridiculous. You are pregnant and clothes are weird. Here's an outfit that will fit perfectly and I will grab your white Sambas.” Louis smiled heading out the door to do that.

“Thanks, Lou,” Harry whispered.

Louis walked back over giving Harry another kiss. He didn't know how lucky he could have gotten at just 18. Louis would go to the ends of the Earth for Harry and he did in the 1D days but picking clothes out was the least he could do.

“No problem, baby. Now get dressed so we can see our baby and then we can grab you some new clothes. Maybe even Gucci.” Louis laughed as he rolled his eyes.
—-----------------------
Harry didn't enjoy the doctor's office and neither did Louis. Too much bad news came from them. Harry's nerves were on high alert as he knew this appointment was extremely important to tell them if he was having a healthy pregnancy or not. As the air hitched in his chest, Harry could feel Louis's hand fold in his. He looked down rubbing at the new anchary tattoo as he released the breath he was holding.

“Good morning, Harry. How are you feeling?” Harry looked up as Dr. Madison walked in. She was in her mid-forties. Her blonde hair was in a loose bun and her nails were painted pink.

“For the first time in weeks, I haven't been nauseous or super tired,” Harry confessed. Those last six weeks on tour were killer. He threw up every two hours like clockwork and slept all day. There was a point in time when Harry felt touring with Louis was the worst idea.

“Well, that is expected since you are going into your 2nd trimester. Some things will change as your baby continues to grow.”

Dr. Madison listed the changes he would see. Harry's belly would grow twice the size it would now and the baby would begin to move. They would also be able to hear sounds which would be awesome. They could hear Louis sing every night. His sex drive would increase which he caught Louis' smile at that statement. Overall the second trimester sounded like it would be much better than the first.

“Now, Harry lay back, and let's take a look at this little one. I have decided that your due date is July 26th.”

That was right around when Louis was planning the Away From Home Festival. There wasn't a date set yet as the Venue in Sheffield was still deciding on the June, July, or August date Louis's team sent them. Harry glanced over at Louis and could see his knee shake. The same thoughts running through their minds. What if the venue picks July and what if Harry goes into labor?

“This is going to be cold,” Dr. Madison said as she scanned the wand over his abdomen until finally, the picture of their baby appeared on the screen.

“Oh, Lou,” Harry cried as the baby wiggled and moved around. Then the heartbeat played throughout the room.

Louis placed a kiss on Harry's cheeks as tears spilled from his eyes as well. “That's our baby. Hear that rhyme could make a pretty good song.”

“Harry, everything is looking great. The baby is growing right on schedule. I will say they are measuring a little smaller than average but nothing to be concerned about. Would you also like to know the sex of the baby?”

Harry looked over at Louis and knew the answer. Before they were back on tour they would have to tell their families so also finding out the sex then was the best idea.

“Can you put the sex in an envelope? We would like to share it with our families.”

“Of course.”

As Harry finished cleaning the goop and some final questions when Louis' phone went off. He quickly grabbed it and looked up at Harry to say it was really important and would not answer it if it wasn't. Harry waved away as he signed some papers.

Two minutes later Louis came back into the room with the biggest grin on his face. He grabbed Harry's hand, not saying a word until they got to the car.

“I got the festival in Sheffield in July. That means the Away from Home Festival will officially be at home which means even if your due date is in July then we will be close to your doctor's.” Louis said.

Harry gave Louis a sheepish smile. Deep down he was terrified. Potentially having a baby during Louis' biggest festivals was terrifying, to say the least.
—----------------
13 weeks

“Happy birthday, Sunnnnnn. Happy Birthday to you. How does it feel being 30?” Louis placed a light kiss against Harry's lips, placing the small cupcake with a candle on the bedside table.

Harry couldn't believe he was 30. He was no longer a 19-year-old kid anymore trying to navigate the world. He was a grown adult with the man he loved and an amazing career he built with a baby on the way.

Tears began to trickle down his cheeks making Louis stop kissing him down along the hollow of his collarbone.

“What's wrong?” Panic rose in Louis' voice.

“Boo Bear,” a name Harry rarely used since they were kids. “I'm just really happy with how our lives are turning out. And I'm glad I get to do it with you.”

“Me too, Harry” Louis said, placing a hand on Harry's bump.

Harry pulled Louis down for another kiss wrapping his legs around his waist and pulling him as close as Harry could get. Louis let out a gasp at the sudden desperation from his husband. Harry didn't care it was his birthday and he wanted sex with the man he loved.

“They weren't kidding when Dr. Madison said your sex drive would go up,” Louis said in between airless kisses.

“I want to ride,” Harry growled.

Louis did not protest as he slid off taking off each item slowly like a strip show. Harry enjoyed every moment of it. Louis' golden skin glistened from the sun peeking from the window. The way his hips curved and dipped into his waistband. Each one of his tattoos shining telling a different story of their love and life.

“I'm no dancer like you Harry,” Louis laughed as he shimmed his hips so he was only in his boxers. Harry bit his lip as he could see his erection growing at each sway.

“Don't lie to me, Louis William Tomlinson. Now come here and give me the dance of a lifetime.” Harry leaned back on his elbows placing one finger in the air to tell Louis to come over.

Louis came over grinding on his lap making Harry moan at each thrust. Harry ran his hands down his chest reaching around to his back muscles. Feeling each one. Louis had the body of a soccer player, all lean and slight muscles. Harry continued his journey till he had both hands on his ass. This time Louis moaned as Harry kneaded each cheek in his hands.

Louis kissed butterfly kisses along Harry's shoulders with his hands hovering over the butterfly on his now soft, round abs. As they continued moving and kissing Harry's phone began to ring. He couldn't care less. He was about to have the best sex of his life. Management could fuck off.

“I need you, now,” Harry whined as Louis sucked on one of his nipples. He sucked in a breath as the sensation was becoming too much. Louis ignored his request. He placed two fingers in his opening making him gasp.

“Oh, you're so wet for me already, baby.”

Harry cried as another finger was added making him clench his legs close around Louis' fingers.

“No, baby, soon.” Louis pulled his fingers out making Harry whine again from the sudden emptiness. He needed Louis' dick now.

Once again the phone rang pulling Harry out of his thoughts. What did they want that they couldn't just wait until after they were done?

Louis laid a hand on Harry's chin pulling him away from the ringing phone to look into his blue eyes. Louis moved off of Harry onto the bed, his cock free in his hand. He slowly pumped as Harry watched.

“I want to feel you.” Louis patted his thigh where his smile tattoo was.

Harry obliged with the request by slowly lowering himself onto Louis' dick. He rocked his hips back and forth to get a feel making Louis moan with each rock. Louis grabbed his hips making Harry rock even harder.

“Oh, you feel so good,” Louis cried. “I'm so close, baby.”

Harry could feel each roll hitting the right spot. “Louis,” Harry cried as his orgasm grew, making his thighs shake at the final thrust. As he felt his high he also felt Louis' cum coat his walls and leak down his thighs.

Once they caught their breaths. Louis lifted Harry and laid him back down on the bed. He got up to turn on the shower to get the temperature ready for the both of them. As he did, Harry's phone went off once again.

“Hello, what do you want? Do you realize it is my birthday and I would like to spend it not working?” Harry asked.

The voice on the other end apologized. It was Jeffery. “We need you to do a quick pap walk for Pleasing as we are launching our next collection today.”

“I can't,” Harry stated.

“Why not?” Jeffery question. If Harry had to admit his management didn't often hear no from him. He felt if he could do some of this stuff the rest of the time he would be able to live his normal life with Louis. This time was different.

“Because I'm four months pregnant and I don't want the general public to know.” Harry snapped.

“Did you just say pregnant?”

“Yes, send me something to the house instead and I'll hand model it,” Harry suggested.

“That won't do it's bags, not nail polish. Why don't you put on a really big coat and meet up at the usual spot around 11 am? It won't be too busy..okay bye.”

Harry sat there in astonishment until Louis came back to let him know the shower was ready.

“Who was on the phone?” Louis asked.

“Who do you think? I have a pap walk at 11.” Harry sighed leaning his head against Louis' chest.

“The fuck you do. Those wankers won't allow you a moment of peace. Did you tell them you were pregnant?”

Harry nodded. “Jeffery said to bring a big coat.”

“The fuckin loser of a guy,” Louis said, placing a kiss on the top of Harry's head.

Harry knew Louis was pissed and he knew that Louis knew Harry was pissed. He was just thankful Louis was being gentle about it.

“Thank you for being calm,”

“I'm pissed but you don't need to add stress with my complaining.” He ran his hand along Harry's spine making him fall tired. “Let's go take a shower and forget the world for a little bit.”

Harry was spotted out in London recently with a new Pleasing bag. Since the now 30-year-old singer just had a birthday, many of his inner circle are wondering when he will settle down and have kids.

Golden28: He is married to a certain Louis Tomlinson

Adorebluegreen: I think the kids' thing is taken care of #Stylinsonbaby

Myfirstrealcrush: I wonder what he's hiding under that big jacket

Reply-Golden28: Definitely a bump. #Stylesisglowing

“Sun, where's the plates with the blue flowers,” Louis called from the kitchen.

The last few weeks were busy, to say the least. Louis was going back on tour which was the Latin America part which would last two months. This meant Louis was in the studio rehearsal almost every day.

Harry was working on some approved projects for his management so they would leave him alone. So, when Louis had a show, management could roll out a picture or promotional video. This would leave Harry in peace and allow him to enjoy his time with his husband.

There was also the packing for the tour and the planning of the party they were having with all of their family and friends. The secret of baby Tomlinson would be officially out.

Harry should be excited about the party. He felt bad keeping his friends and family in the dark. Especially his mum. Anne often asked to come see them and Harry had to make up an excuse until the day of the party. She was supposed to be the first one to come so, the present they had for her would be extra special.

That wasn't the only thing that was on Harry's mind. Harry was still worried about the Away from Home festival being in Sheffield and so close to his due date.

“Harry,”

Harry looked up from finishing packing their bags to see Louis standing in the doorway. Harry gave him a sheepish smile turning back to their suitcases.

“Hey, talk to me. What's wrong?” Louis asked, wrapping his arms around his belly. Still not a big bump but still enough of a curve that anyone who knew Harry could tell something was different.

“Nothing,” Harry shrugged.

Louis turned Harry around making him look into his blue eyes. Those same eyes he wrote a million songs about and still could. Harry wanted to tell him everything but also knew that if he told Louis the truth about how he felt about the festival there would be an argument.

“Babe, tell me what's wrong? I've noticed something is weighing on that gorgeous head of hair of ours ever since your doctor's appointment four weeks ago.”

Harry took a deep breath knowing he had to tell Louis. He promised to work on his communication skills after hearing the many songs about his lack of them.

“I don't want the festival in Sheffield,” Harry stated taking a step back and crossing his arms.

“What? Why not?”

“Because it's four hours away from home”

Louis snickered.”Well, that is why it's called the Away from Home festival. Kinda have to be away from home.”

“Not when your husband will be nine months pregnant and their due date is one day shy of the festival,” Harry shouted.

He knew he was being irrational and very standoffish. Harry couldn't help with the many thoughts moving around his brain and the anxiety that stayed in his chest most nights because of it.

“Harry, I just can't move the festival. It's already set and the announcement is planned for the beginning of March.” Louis fumed.

“I'm not saying for you to do that. It's just,” Harry stopped. It's just that I wished you would put us first before your career. Harry knew if he said that would be unfair and not how he really felt. Louis sacrificed most of his career for Harry to live his. To become and do what he has for the last seven years. It was Harry's turn to give Louis that same space and support even if a baby did throw a wrench in things.

“Just what? Use your words, Harry.” Louis demanded.

Harry could feel tears well in his eyes. Damn hormones. Louis stepped closer with the anger dissolving from his face. Harry held a hand up as he heard the doorbell rang.

“My mum’s here,” Harry stated as he left the room.
—------------------------
“Mum,” Harry cried as he threw the door open. Anne wrapped her arms around her son causing Harry to melt in her embrace. Tears pricked behind his eyes from the fight with Louis. He took a deep breath as he heard Louis' footsteps approach the threshold of the house.

“Hello, Anne,” Louis said, hugging her as well. He handed her the bag with the gift that would change everything.

Louis took a step back wrapping an arm around Harry's waist. He stood rigid and unmoving by the touch. At this moment he wanted several feet away from his husband. Harry caught Anne’s concerned look between the boy. Harry flashed a smile, gesturing to her to open the package.

“Now what is this boys? What is going on? You’ve been radio silent and then invited me over for some party right before Lou goes back on tour. If I didn't know any better I would have thought you were pregnant.”

Harry and Louis stifled a giggle as Anne reached into the bag pulling out a shirt that said granny to Stylinson's baby coming in July. Anne's eyes grew wide as she looked between her son and son-in-law. No words were spoken as Harry leaned forward pulling out the sonogram from their 16-week appointment.

“You're actually pregnant?” Anne asked, taking hold of the picture. Harry nodded, unable to keep the tears from spilling.

“Oh my, I'm going to be a grandma in July so you're 4 months pregnant!”

Harry nodded, wrapping his arms around his mum once again as she began to cry into his shoulder. For a second the argument washed away from his mind. All he knew was how happy his mum was until he looked up to see Louis was gone.

“Can I see your bump?”

“Sure Mum but it's definitely noticeable but you can't feel the baby or anything.”

Harry lifted his shirt as his mum placed a hand on his butterfly. At that moment his child was able to meet his mum for the first time.
—------------------
Louis had to step away after the embrace between Harry and Anne. It was too much to see Harry getting to have that moment with his mum when he never would. Louis loved Anne and she was like a second Mum to him but it was different. She would never be his mum.

He stood by their mantle which was full of pictures from various points in their lives. Some with when both of them were in the band. Some are from Harry's shows, and some are from his. There were moments during family events and vacations. Sat in the middle was a picture of his mother on her wedding day over 10 years ago.

“Hi, mum. I haven't told you yet but me and Harry are going to have a baby. They are healthy and very cute even on a black-and-white screen. We are celebrating them today with all the family and friends.” Louis sucked in a breath as he felt like crying

“I wish you were here. I wish I could celebrate with you. You would have been so excited.”
—------------------
The party was in full swing with both boys' respectable friends and bandmates there. Niall and Liam. Zayn sent his congrats with a quick video message as he was still in the States. Gemma and all of Louis' siblings were there as well. Everyone was happy and having the best time except for the two who were supposed to be hosting this party.

“What is up with the two of you?” Lottie questioned Louis who was currently by the food table watching Harry play a game of uno with Ernst and Niall.

“What are you talking about, Lottie?” Snapping his attention to his sister.

Lottie and the whole crew were shocked when they announced Harry was pregnant. It was kinda like welcome by the way we are having a baby. Everyone was fonding over Harry which allowed Louis to fade into the background. There was still tension between the two from this morning's argument.

“You are acting like you don't want this baby. Also, you and Harry have been avoiding each other during this whole party.” Lottie huffed and pointed a well-manicured finger from Harry to Louis.

“What is going on between me and Harry has nothing to do with the baby. I'm actually really excited and maybe a little bit nervous.” Louis shouted.

“Then what?”

“We had an argument about the festival and the location. Harry wants me to move it which I can't. Then he completely shuts down on me. Like I don't know what he wants from me.” Louis huffs looking over at Harry laughing with a hand on his bump.

“Lou, have you ever thought Harry was scared because his support and doctor are here in London and you would be four hours away from all that? This is Harry's first baby.”

“Mine too.”

Lottie shook her head no. “It's different though. You're not the one pregnant and going through all of these changes that will lead to pushing a watermelon out of a pea-sized hole after hours' worth of labor.”

Louis stopped never thinking about all that. He thanked Lottie and walked over to talk to Harry. He needed to apologize.

“Hey, can we talk?” Louis whispered in Harry's ear. Harry glanced up to flash his dark green eyes. So dark like moss on a fall day. Harry was still pissed and there was nothing for Louis to do.

“No, it's cake time and I don't want to talk to you right now.” Harry stood up walking towards the kitchen. Louis huffed but gathered around everyone.

“Okay, we are going to cut the cake so if you think boy stand here and you think girl stand there. Now mind youse me and Harry don't give a shit but it's still nice to know.”

Louis stood next to Harry, grabbing the handle of the knife. With one quick motion, he cut a piece to reveal pink. Louis dropped the knife and laughed as Harry was right. They were going to have a daughter. The moment was bittersweet as he watched Harry walk away to celebrate with his band.

Louis loved Harry with every ounce of his soul. He and Harry were one. Where one ended, the other began. As this fight prolonged he could see just how much Harry was untouchable, unreachable, even when most nights Louis could read every piece of Harry. Understand him more than his favorite piece of music. Louis wondered at what point Harry stopped being his Harry.
—------------------
Louis lay on the couch after the party ended. Harry went upstairs as soon as the last guest left saying he was tired. It was much more than that. He and Louis avoided each other the whole day. Their guess could tell but didn't say anything. Instead commented on how excited they were for them. Asked about the due date and any names they had picked out.

Ever so often Louis spotted Harry in the corner of his eyes being miserable. A part of Louis felt bad because of their argument. Louis didn't quite understand why Harry brought up the festival and the location until talking to Lottie. Lottie made a fair point that Harry was scared of how far away he would be from his support system. Louis had some ideas on how to change that but first, he needed Harry to be ready to talk. So, here he was on the couch giving Harry the space he needed until then.

Louis looked up as he heard a creak from the steps. Harry was in just a T-shirt and a pair of boxers. He stood by the foot of the couch staring down at him through his light green eyes. He tapped Louis' foot making him put them on the ground so Harry could sit.

Harry didn't say a word; he just picked at the pink and blue nail polish off his fingers. Louis sat up wrapping his arms around Harry's shoulders and pulling his head into his chest.

“I felt the baby move,” Harry whispered. “I don't think you will be able to feel anything for a few more weeks.”

Louis didn't care. He just wanted to feel the soft skin of Harry's belly. Wanted to feel the way the Laurels curved instead of being flat at his hips.

“I'm sorry about earlier,” Harry continued, still picking at his nails and never looking up at Louis.

Louis placed a kiss on the crown of Harry's head and entwined his other hand with Harry's.

“Sun, I'm sorry. I got defensive earlier about the festival. It's my baby but it will never be more important than you or her.”

“And I know that,” Harry said, looking up at Louis. “It's just that I'm scared. We will be so far from my doctor and my mum, Gemma, and Lottie. I just don't want anything to happen to this little girl.”

“That's exactly what Lottie told me. That's why I was wondering if it would be okay with you if we brought your doctor with us that day. She will be on sight if you do go into labor. All of our family will already be at the venue because they come and watch anyway. If you do go into labor we can drive up to Donny which is a short drive away. All those nurses knew my mom and would make sure everything was okay.”

Louis held his breath as Harry didn't say a word. Louis knew it was a lot. Harry was the one going through growing a baby in his body and then having to go through hours' worth of labor. Then having to give birth to their daughter. A million things could go wrong. A million things could go wrong in London as well and Louis wouldn't be there. This way Louis would be there by Harry's side.

“Okay,” Harry finally said.

“Really,” Louis questioned in shock.

“Really, because I trust you. Besides, Doncaster will feel like home more than London. Some way it will feel like your mom will be with us.” Harry grinned.

It was Louis' turn to tear up a little. His mom may never be able to meet his daughter but if she is born where Johanna touched so many lives it will feel like she did.

“Thank you,” Louis whispered against Harry's mouth.

For that brief moment, all the thoughts Louis had throughout the day disappeared. This was still his Harry with the smile that showed his dimples and curls which were mostly gone except for the ones that curled around his ears.

“I love you,” Louis kissed just below Harry's ear.

“I love you more. Now come to bed. We have a flight to catch.” Harry announced standing up.

“Wait,” Louis reached for Harry's hand, spinning him back on the couch. “We didn't get to celebrate. We're having a little girl.”

Harry placed a hand on his belly. “I knew we were. She's been a dream of mine for a while now.”

Louis laid a hand over Harry's, as he laid his head on his shoulder. Sleep creeps into his eyes. “Tell me about her.”

Harry stood backstage watching Louis be the rock star that he was born to be. He was far from the boy that Harry fell in love with when he was just sixteen. Both of them went through their fair share of trauma with Syco management, losing a parent, and career setbacks. For Louis, it was worse. 2016 was a hard year for him as he was still contracted with Syco and lost his mom. As Harry grew in success, Louis began to slip away within himself. He never became harsh but his spark, his light was gone. There were nights Harry didn’t see Louis and days would go by before he knew what had happened to him.

There was one night when the final straw came. When he got a call from Ollie that Louis was so drunk he could barely walk. They were going to the hospital. That night Harry gave Louis an ultimatum, either get it together or he was walking. Louis did get his life together. The next five years were still extremely tough but Louis was okay. The thing was everything Louis did to get better was for him alone. Never for Harry. Harry was just there to cheer him on.

Now watching Louis sing We Made It made Harry smile. They did make it. Harry rubbed his bump as their daughter lay quietly to her daddy’s voice. Harry caught Louis' smile at the last line. He did a little dance towards him but stopped right at his drink. There in that dance was his Louis. Piece by piece coming back to reality.

The show progressed, each song sounding amazing. Each look Louis gave Harry made his heart skip a beat. His boy was playing tricks and that wasn't fair when he knew his hormones were out of control. During 505 he wrapped a hand around his neck during a certain line. When he sang Back to You, he rolled his eyes in an organismic gasp as the crowd screamed I love him. Harry motioned for someone to give him control of Louis' inner ears. Two could play at this game.

“Darling, I think I'm going to need my medicine tonight,” Harry growled.

Louis looked over at Harry with one hand on his ear and his eyes went wide.

“I need to taste how good you look. Glistening tan skin. Kiss me the way you sing.” Harry smirked.

Louis giggled pulling at his trousers as he tried to sing Out of My System. Harry knew he had Louis right where he wanted him. When the crowd ripped Louis’ tank top clean off his body, Harry was willing to risk everything to run on stage and wrap his legs around Louis.

As Louis walked closer and closer, Harry bit his lip and rubbed his thighs together. He needed Louis now.

“Damn, you Styles,” Louis shook his head as he wrapped his arm around Harry’s waist pulling him close.

“Not now, Tomlinson.” Harry pressed a kiss to Louis’ lips. Their tongues slipped in and out, playing the same dance that they have played since their first kiss many moons ago.

Louis walked Harry back towards his dressing room. Harry followed his lead as the world fell around him. All he could hear was the breaths Louis took between each kiss. All he tasted was the tang of Red Bull and vodka. All he smelled was the scent of sweat and cigarettes. The scent of home. All he felt was the soft brown hair as it wrapped around his fingers.

“Sit,” Harry demanded. Louis did as asked as he lowered down onto the couch. Harry lowered himself down to his knees and placed his hands on both of Louis’ thighs. Louis grabbed Harry’s chin tipping back his head so he was looking up at him through his long lashes.

“Be careful, sun. I don’t want you to get hurt or the baby.” Louis whispered.

Harry moved Louis's hand up to his mouth to take in the beloved middle finger. He sucked on it as he grazed his teeth along the edge until he pop the finger out of his mouth and moved to the waistband of Louis’ pants.

“I’m okay baby, let me make you feel okay.”

Harry pulled both Louis' pants and boxers down allowing his cock to be free. He wrapped a hand around the base as he brought his tongue to the tip.

He could hear Louis sucking in a breath as he continued to tease the soft area. Precum soaking his tongue.

“Harry,” Louis whined sinking a hand in his hair and lightly pushing his head down as Harry continued to bring more of the cock in his mouth. He slowly bobbled his head as he heard the groans escape from his husband's mouth.

“I'm so close baby, God,” Louis gasped.

Harry continued licking the length of his member and teasing the tip until Louis' hips bucked and touched the back of his throat where he felt the sweet release slip down his throat.

Harry pulled back, popping the cock out of his mouth allowing some of the cum to dribble down his chin. He took his thumb wiping the extra and licking what was left clean.

“Bloody hell, you are hot,” were the only words Louis could form.

Harry stood up sitting next to Louis pulling him in for another kiss. “Go change your clothes. You need to meet your fans.

“I don't want to. I want more.” Louis said as he sucked a bruise into Harry's neck.

“And you will get more as soon as I can get back on the bus. Maybe we can throw in some surprises?”

Louis looked up, cocking an eyebrow. Harry matched his expression with a grin. Louis jumped up pulling on a pair of joggers and a sweatshirt leaving Harry alone needing a cold shower.

Princesspark369: Louis had an amazing show but did anyone see that smirk and his hand going to his earpiece? Wonder what naughty thing Harry said.

It was the last show of the Latin American leg of the tour which both of them were so glad about. They missed their family and their bed even if the tour bus was okay.

“What are you doing?” Louis asked as he walked into the front of their tour bus. Harry was squatting with headphones wrapped around his very pregnant bump which if anyone didn't know he was pregnant would now. Plus he had his laptop open scrolling maybe Pinterest.

“Well, I'm doing some prenatal yoga to get ready for your concert. I know my back and legs will be killing me if I don't. I'm also starting to plan the nursery so we can call Jennifer,” Their interior design person who did their house years ago. “I’m also trying to culture our child on some good music before she is born.”

Louis just laughed, grabbing a bag of crisps from the cabinet. “Is Green Day on that playlist or Palao Nutini?”

Harry rolled his eyes as he continued to scroll through ideas. There were many he liked such as the classic princess theme and the jungle theme. He often found himself going back to the dark blue and moon theme. Stars and the moon were two very important concepts for Louis and Harry as they felt no matter how many miles away they were the moon was still the same. The one part that connected them.

“actually it's more like Shania Twain and Fleetwood Mac.”

“Hey, all good choices. Strong female voices but nugget their needs some rock like the Arctic Monkeys.”

“And she will since she will be listening to her daddy sing tonight. You know she will be kicking and moving all day but the second you step foot on stage she stops. I think your voice is soothing.”Harry said as he stood up grabbing a crisp out of Louis' bag.

“You know what else she would love to hear. Her Mama's voice.” Louis said, placing a hand on Harry's bump.

“And she does. I've been writing this song just for her. Every time I sing it she presses right here.” Harry guided Louis' hand to the right side. Louis couldn't feel anything but Harry could. Their daughter was fluttering little kicks like the football player she would grow up to be.

“Oh, I want to hear it,” Louis said circling a thumb on the spot.

Harry shook his head no. “I've only written a chorus but I promise when I'm done I will show you first,” Harry said, running a hand up and down Louis' arm, the one with all of his tattoos.

“Okay, fine. So, what are your thoughts for the nursery?”

Harry guided him to the couch and showed him the Pinterest board of all the saved ideas.

“So, you have a lot of ideas,” Louis quipped his eyebrows up as Harry continued to scroll through the board.

“It's only a few,” Harry shrugged.

“Right,” Louis giggled.

Golden28: Louis has been wearing pink a lot on this tour. Why is that 🤔?
Reply-Boobear88: He has. I miss green on him but pink looks good too.
Replay-Adorebluegreen: Some think Harry is pregnant that's why he's been MIA recently. What if they are having a girl? That's why he's been wearing a lot of pink.

Golden28: Omg Louis Tomlinson is going to be a girl dad #Stylinsonbaby

Louis and Harry had been home for two weeks. When it came to their lives there was no time to be alone. There were a slew of people coming to visit and help them get ready for the baby. Or that’s what they would say. Most just wanted a chance to touch Harry’s bump for a chance to feel the baby.

There were consent questions such as Do you have a name and is Harry really continuing to tour with Louis even though he was six months pregnant. That question got on his nerves the most because it came from his mum. He knew she was just trying to look out for him and their daughter but she had to realize he wasn't a dumb kid that left home at sixteen. He was an adult who listened to his doctor’s instructions. Just thinking about the last conversation with his mum gave him heartburn.

Then there was the planning of the nursery. The consent questions of what color blue and type of crib. Harry wished he could just hand a picture to his designer but that wasn't good enough. All he wanted to do was sleep since the baby was beginning to keep him up at night with her consent moving. That wasn't an option when someone always needed something. Other than Lou. Louis made sure Harry got everything he wanted and more even when he himself was busy with his work.

Louis stood by the kitchen counter making him a pickle and peanut butter sandwich with a decaf Yorkshire tea. That was one of Harry's many cravings recently and poutine but there was no way to get that unless you went to Canada. London didn't make it right, as Harry discovered when they popped over to a trusted pub near their house for a plate.

With the tour being officially over it was time for Louis' team to get ready for festival season. The first one was in Mexico in just a couple of days. These festivals were Louis' chance to be heard from a wider audience and not just their loyal fan base. Louis was often in his office curating the perfect setlist and making sure the designs for the stage were ready. There were moments when he would push the festivals and work to the side and focus on just Harry and the baby. Harry was grateful for that.

“Sun, I'm going to pack this in a cooler so you can have this after your doctor's appointment,” Louis said as he walked by the couch placing a light kiss on his cheek and a gentle hand on his bump.

God, did he love Louis? The sweetest and most caring man anyone could fall in love with and he got to at sixteen. The love of his life for sure.
—------------
Doctor appointments were routine for them by now. Whenever Louis had a break from the tour, they would pop home to see Dr. Madison. Each visit was always the same. The baby was still measuring slightly smaller than should have been, but Harry was healthy and the baby was healthy. At their prior appointment, Harry asked if she would be able to come to the Away From Home Festival and Dr. Madison agreed. Everything was coming up roses for Harry and Louis.

Harry laid back on the table and lifted his shirt to expose his rounded belly. The baby was moving a lot and he wondered if it would be captured on the screen.

“How have you been feeling, Harry?” Dr. Madison asked as she moved the wand around searching for his daughter. He wished he could just grab the wand and place it in the correct spot because right now her foot was in a rib and nowhere near his bladder.

“I feel good other than the lack of sleep and constant urination. She also has been kicking a lot. I feel like she's got her daddy's football skills.” Harry quipped.

Louis laughed, bringing Harry's hand up to his lips as their daughter finally appeared on screen. Sure enough there she was kicking her legs like she was bouncing a football.

“Oi, is she flicking me off,” Louis questioned as he leaned forward over Harry's chest. Harry looked over and saw the little finger putting up.

“I told you, she is a true daddy's girl. All the way,” Harry laughed.

Harry smiled thinking about if she did come out looking just like Louis. Blonde hair and ocean blue eyes with high cheekbones and a pouty smile. Harry often said she was going to be Louis' twin. Louis disagreed. She was going to be Harry's twin with a dimpled smile, emerald green eyes, and curly brown hair.

“Harry, have you been under any stress lately?” Dr. Madison asked as she cleaned off the goop and grabbed his chart.

“I mean no more than what my everyday job brought me. There have been a lot of people coming over to the house and planning in the nursery. There was also helping with the logistics of Louis' shows and planning the schedule.” Once Harry put it like that, maybe he was going through some stress.

“Why do you ask?” Louis piped up.

“Well based on your results of your blood pressure it was high. Now have you heard of preeclampsia,”

Harry shook his head yes. He read all of the books he needed to know what was happening with his body and how to prepare for the baby. The scariest one was preeclampsia. This was caused by high blood pressure and resulted in the person being on bed rest or worse delivering the baby early. Harry could feel his breath quicken and his hands growing sweaty. Louis laid a hand on his thigh feeling his panicking.

“Now normally your blood pressure has been in good standings on each visit but this time there was a red flag on this rating. It was slightly elevated which could lead to preeclampsia. I recommend taking some time just to destress for a week or two. Then at your next appointment see the results and go from there.”

Harry felt panic in his chest at the words destress. That meant no Mexico and leaving Louis behind. He needed Louis more than ever and now they would be separated by an ocean. He just wanted to curl into Louis' lap and cry.

“Okay, will do.” Harry nodded his head and left the room for the car. He sat in silence as Louis came to the same car and slipped into the driver's seat. Didn't want to talk and was glad when Louis didn't either. Instead, he turned up the radio on a Queen song and rubbed circles to Harry's thigh.
—----------------
Louis knew the ending of the doctor's appointment was rough for Harry. When the doctor spoke the one word that terrified Harry the most about his pregnancy, Louis knew the visit was over. As soon as they came home, there were no words uttered instead Louis guided Harry into the bathroom. He drew a bubble bath and stripped each piece of clothing from Harry's body. Then he slowly lowered his husband into the tub where he joined him on the opposite end.

Louis rubbed Harry’s feet as they were swelling. He knew they were giving Harry pain. Louis watched as his love’s head leaned back with closed eyes, rubbing his belly where their unborn child lay.

“Harry,” Louis whispered.

“Mmm,” Harry hummed, not changing positions.

“What’s going through your mind right now?”

A beat went through the air before Harry finally spoke.

“I’m scared,” Harry admitted. “I've been scared since the day the doctor came in saying I was pregnant. Our lives have never been easy but the two of us have made do. Worked out bodies till we've both almost passed out from exhaustion. Then all of a sudden it wasn't just the two of us anymore,” Harry spoke, still not opening his eyes to look at Louis.

“There was someone else that was a little bit of you and a little bit of me. It became my responsibility to protect her and help her grow. I did everything I was told and it still wasn't good enough,” Tears trickled down Harry's cheeks.

Louis scooted closer as to sit in between Harry's legs. He placed his hands on Harry's face rubbing away the tears that fell.

“Shhhh, that's not true,” Louis said.

“I can't lose her, Louis.” Harry cried, his hands unmoving from his bump.

Louis kept one hand on Harry's cheek and the other lay on top of one of his hands. He still hadn't felt their daughter move but he knew she was there just below their hands.

“And we won't. She is safe because of you.” Louis knew every word he was saying was true. Harry was the best person he knew and he was going to be the best mom too. Louis leaned forward kissing Harry's forehead. He could feel his husband's body relax under his touch.

“I'm going to call Gemma to come to stay with you and you are taking four weeks off instead of two,”

Harry's mouth opened to protest but Louis shook his head. “We are going to put the nursery on hold until I have a break after the Germany festival. It will be a month, so I can finish all the necessary details. After that if and you can say no, if you want then you come with me to the last festivals. Okay,”

Harry nodded, laying his head on Louis's shoulder. “Thank you,”

“Of course, we are a team.” Louis pressed a kiss in Harry's hair.

They lay together until the water grew cold. Louis picked Harry up, walked him into the room, and sat him on the bed. He wrapped a towel around them both to dry them off. Then he put Harry in a pair of silk pajama pants and himself a pair of gray sweatpants.

Louis grabbed the Cocoa butter-infused lotion that Harry swore by. He used it way before he was pregnant and got way too excited when he found out it helped with stretch marks. Louis squirted some into his hands and massaged the lotion along Harry's bump. Harry closed his eyes and hummed.

Louis loved Harry more than his words could ever convey. He loved his soft dimples and emerald eyes. He loved the way his voice sounded in the morning, deeper and rough with sleep. There were now new things to love about Harry such as the way his tattoos stretch to accommodate the need for more room for their daughter. The light stretch marks that danced along his bump and the way his belly button poked out through his shirt.

As he continued to rub small circles along Harry's stomach he felt a slight push against his hand. Louis stopped moving his hand back to the spot. A foot pushed through touching his hand.

“Bloody hell,” Louis shouted, making Harry's eyes snap open. He sat up staring at Louis. “I just felt peanut. She kicked against my hand.”

Louis moved his hand around and once again there was a push against his hand. “Harry, I can feel her,”

Louis never thought he could be so happy but at that moment feeling his daughter, he was. Louis leaned down kissing at the spot she was pressing on Harry's stomach.

“Hi, peanut, it's your daddy. I love you. Your mum and I have been talking a lot and we promise you will always be safe. Can you show your mum you're safe?”

At that question, their daughter pushed a hand against his belly. Harry looked up smiling at Louis. Louis was never wrong.
—------------------
Week 27
Mexico was Louis’ favorite country to perform in. The crowds were always louder. The fans were wilder than other places he toured. Tonight wasn't a regular tour show. Tonight was his first festival of many. There were people out there who either never heard of him or thought of him as that guy from the boy band. He had nothing against it, Louis would always be proud of One Direction but tonight he want to be Louis fucking Tomlinson.

Louis bounced from one corner of the room to another. His nerves worked through him. It was either to keep moving or have every single negative thought run through his brain. He wished the one person who knew how to calm him down was here. Louis picked up his phone, one hour before the show. Louis wanted to call Harry. Hear his voice say he was going to do great. Here I love you right before walking on stage. Louis knew he shouldn't as Harry was most likely asleep. The baby caused him to sleep only a few hours a night.

“How's Harry,” Oli walked beside him in the green room handing him a beer. He slid his phone into his pocket knowing he could call in just a few hours.

“He's good. The doctor put him on a stress-free break and he's tired all the time due to the consent kicking. A footballer on our hands, I say,” Louis chuckled while taking a sip of beer.

Louis looked over on the couch where a baby jersey lay. No one in the world was supposed to know they were having a baby but somehow the fandom always found out. He didn't know if that was a good or bad thing but Louis did love the jersey. Couldn't wait to dress Peanut in it one day.

“How are you doing mate,” Oli questioned, looking at him.

Louis shrugged. “This is newish territory for us. Playing festivals is huge but it's almost like playing in front of strangers. I also don't have my biggest supporter here tonight.” Louis knew Harry had the live link but like he said before he needed that I love you before going out on stage.

Oli placed a hand on Louis' shoulder stopping him in his place. Oli shook his head not liking the answer Louis gave.

“I'm not talking about the show Lou. I know you will crush that. I'm talking about how you feel about becoming a dad.”

Louis scrunched his eyebrows at his best friend. There were things that he hadn't even discussed with Harry about. Did he want to talk about it right before the show?

“I'm excited, you know. When Harry told me it was the best news I ever heard and it still is,” Louis waved his drink in hand. “But then I think mum's not here to talk to. The guy that was supposed to be my father was never around and then there's dad. I find myself thinking I need to call him more.”

Louis didn't know what he was saying or what he felt. Louis always wanted to be a dad but throughout Harry's whole pregnancy, he was here on the road living the rockstar dream. He knew that he didn't need to give up his career just because they were having a baby. Neither of them did.

“I just wonder what life will look like once she is here. You know what I mean. Like could we possibly keep doing this,” Louis gestured to the life he only knew for the last 14 years of his life. “With a newborn. With a toddler. What are we going to do when she goes to school?”

“Well, you could step away from the music scene for a bit,” Oli suggested.

Louis shook his head no. “Neither of us wants that. Music is our sanctuary. It's our home and our language. Harry had been writing nonstop. This is the longest break for him and I know he's itching to get back out there even if he won't admit it.”

“Well, just take a few months off. This world will always be here. I will always be here.”

“Thanks, Oli.” Louis smiled, punching his friend in the arm. “Can I ask you a favor?

“Anything.”

“I need you to finish the nursery. Harry is staying with Gemma so he won't even know what's happening until I get home.”

Oli shrugged his shoulders as an okay. He's dealt with weird requests from Louis. This barely scratched the surface.
—--------------------
Harry laid against Gemma's velvet green couch. He always wanted one but Louis often said no as he felt they were scratchy. Sleep wasn't coming tonight as Peanut was kicking at every chance she got and giving him the worst heartburn. She was definitely going to be born with a full head of hair. Harry massaged his abdomen as he watched Louis come on stage. His voice sounded amazing.

“Do you hear Daddy,” Harry asked as his daughter kicked harder. Somehow she knew Louis wasn't there and got excited whenever she could hear his voice.

“Do you miss him too?” Harry did more than he liked to admit. Spending time apart was a usual thing for their relationship but it was different when you were having a baby together.

Harry smiled as Louis sang 7 to a crowd of people who didn't know about them and the lore behind the song choice. Harry did and Harry knew Louis sang it for him as he watched him point directly to the moon.
—-------------------
“You have been an amazing fucking crowd. Good night,” Louis raised his cup in the air as the crowd chanted his name. The concert was better than he could have ever planned. The crowd sang along to all of his songs and there was just the right amount of roughness at the barricades. On any other night he would have gladly met the fans but tonight there was a call he needed to answer.

Louis snatched the phone out of Oli’s hand with Harry’s smiling face. “Babe,”

“Lou, you were amazing. I am so proud of you,” Harry said with a yawn.

It was almost six o’clock in London and Louis knew he should let Harry go to sleep but he wanted to tell Harry everything. Louis also wanted to hear about how Harry was feeling as well.

“Now that one bodyguard was a little handsy when you were down at barricades. Don’t love that,” Harry faked pouted.

“Hazza, relax, I only have eyes for you,” Louis said as he walked into the green room. He shut the door behind him and sat down on his couch. The room felt like home with black curtains, plants, and lion pillows.

“You know I’m the jealous type,” Harry sleepy laughed.

“How are you feeling baby?” Louis could see Harry rubbing the right side of his bump. That was their daughter’s favorite spot to kick. Normally, Louis would be there to rub at the spot and sing her to sleep. Louis's fingers twitch just to be home. Two more weeks and he would be. A thought went through his mind of what Oli said. The music would still be here even if he stepped away for a bit. He worked so hard for his career but his family would always come first.

“I’m tired and your football player won’t stop. She knows you aren’t here.”

“I wish I were,” Louis said.

“No, you are doing amazing things. We will still be here waiting for you,”

“With your hands between your thighs,” Louis wiggled his brows with a smile.

“Tomlinson,” Harry shrieked.

“Styles,” Louis laughed.

“I do miss you. Did you go to that one spot we like?” Harry asked laying his head down on the arm of the chair.

“No, there hasn’t been a chance. It would feel weird to go without you.”

They continued to talk about everything in between. Louis’s next festival in Germany. Harry’s doctor's appointment which he promised Harry to have him on Facetime for the whole thing. This was to check if Harry had preeclampsia or if the rest helped reduce the risk.

Harry’s eyes fluttered shut as they talked. “Hey, a few more minutes love,” Louis begged.

Harry opened his eyes to show Louis’ favorite color. The color he bathed himself in every night he was on stage.

“What shall we talk about darling,” Harry mumbled.

“As much as I love calling our daughter Peanut. I think it might be time to give her a name.” Louis knew the name Harry wanted. He talked about it since they were kids but he just wanted to hear him say it.

“You know the name I want but what were you thinking.”

“I don’t know what name you want. You have to remind me.” Louis smirked.

Harry rolled his eyes. “Darcy Anne Tomlinson,”

It sounded like a song. “Darcy, daddy loves you. Get some sleep.”

“Wait, you like it,” Harry asked with some surprise in his tone.

“I’ve loved it since I first heard you say Darcy in an interview when we were just teens. I couldn’t wait to have Darcy and here we are now in just three months. So, Hazza, go to bed and I will talk to you later.”

Week 28
It’s only been two days since Harry spoke to Louis on the phone and he already missed him. He felt like a love-sick teen all over again. It might just be the hormones. Today he would get to talk to Louis as he had a doctor's appointment to see if he could come off a sorta bed rest. He needed to get back on the road with Louis. It was his favorite part of their jobs.

“Hey, are you ready?” Gemma hollered.

Harry made his way towards the car as his phone rang. He grabbed it thinking it was Louis. He promised him that they would Facetime for this appointment. Louis didn’t want to miss a single appointment. Not even when he was miles away.

As Harry went to answer the phone he noticed the one number he didn’t want to see Jeffery’s number.

“What do you want?” Harry asked. He looked back to see if his sister was anywhere near but she must have gone to the car.

“In two weeks we need you to do a pap walk for the new pleasing line that is coming out in June,” Jefferey stated over the phone.

“No,” Harry said. There was no possible way he could do a pap walk being seven months pregnant. The doctor would not be happy since he was on a stress-free break.

“Harry, what do you mean by no,” Jeffery asked.

“I’ve been on temporary bed rest due to stress and high blood pressure. I also will be seven months pregnant. Please, Jeffery, tell me how I could safely do this pap walk for you.” Harry was growing angry now. It was his job to keep this little girl safe and by God he was. Fuck management.

“Harry, you are going to have to do this. It's in your contract.”

“No, I'm not. I've done everything you've ever asked so I can live my life with Louis. This is the one thing I have to say no to, so I can protect our little girl.” Harry rubbed his bump where Darcy was lying asleep. She often slept during the day and was up all night.

“I'm sorry Harry but you will do this walk or we will call the news outlets and share that you and Louis will be having a little girl in a few months. So, what will it be, a little walk or the biggest secret of the century getting out,” Jeffery said in the calmest tone. It was scary, almost like talking to a friend about dinner plans.

Harry sucked in a breath unable to say a word. There was a lump in his throat. There was nothing for him to do as the world could not know about their baby girl. Harry would never allow it if he could help it.

“Fine, send me the details,” Harry hung up the phone with tears in his eyes. He felt an arm wrap around his shoulders. He placed his head on Gemma’s as he cried. Freedom was the only thing he ever wanted but music was his love. He could never have both as long as he was willing to protect Darcy. He will always put his family first.
—--------
Harry pushed the conversation out of his mind as Gemma drove them to the doctor’s office. All his focus right now was to figure out if he was healthy and Darcy was healthy.

“Hey, babe,” Louis said through the phone. They were all waiting in the room for Dr. Madison to come in. “Are you okay? Your eyes are red,”

Harry shook his head yes and rubbed away a stray tear. He couldn't tell Louis about the pap walk. Not now. He would wait until he got home.

“Yeah, I'm fine. Just sleeping is hard with her moving a lot and the heartburn. I miss my snuggle partner,” Harry pouted trying to move away from the hidden secret. He could feel Gemma bore holes in the back of his head.

“Just a few more days and I will be able to wrap my arms around both of you. Miss you,” Louis smiled.

“Miss you more,”

Louis was about to say something as Dr. Madison walked in. She has the same look as always the bun and heels but today her nails were yellow.

“Good afternoon Harry and Louis. Nice to meet you, Gemma,” Gemma gave a nod but stayed in the back. She didn't want to intrude on the visit but did want to see her niece on the monitor.

“Last time you were here we discussed the possibility of preeclampsia.”

Harry shook his head. He tried to keep his phone steady for Louis but he was so nervous which wasn't good for his blood pressure.

“Based on your results, I like to say the mandatory rest worked. Your blood pressure is great and no signs of preeclampsia.”

Harry let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. Tears pricked at the corners of his eyes and he dapped them away with a tissue given by Gemma. This meant he could go back home and tour with Louis.

“Now that doesn't mean going back to doing all the stuff that was stressing you out.”

“Doc, he won't. I'm taking him off duties. He was my princess before he definitely will be now,” Louis stated.

Harry rolled his eyes as he laid back down for an ultrasound. Harry was fine with taking a step back from the technical stuff as long as he was able to be creative in their home studio. He would be fine.

It takes not long for Dr. Madison to find Darcy. As she did, she went on to explain that the third trimester will bring on new changes as the baby is preparing to be born as well as Harry’s body. She also noted there was a lot they needed to begin to plan for such as birthing plans which were going to be either at home or in Doncaster hospital.

“Do you have a name picked out yet,” Dr. Madison asked.

“Yes, Darcy.”

“What a beautiful name! Well, Darcy is measuring to be on the smaller side. Probably about six pounds and 19 inches long. Lucky for you Harry when you are delivering her. Other than that she is doing wonderful.” Dr. Madison stepped out of the room.

Gemma said bye to Louis as well so they could have a second alone.

“Did you hear that? Darcy is going to be small like her daddy.” Harry laughed.

“Hey, I'm big.” Louis huffed.

“Yes, you are in all of the ways it counts,”

Louis squeaked and Oli yelled that he could hear them. “Sorry, Oliver.”

“Hey, festival number three tonight and I'm going to dedicate Lucky Again to Darcy. Don't worry I will keep it where only me and you know. Hey, I gotta go for a sound check but I love you.” Louis blows a kiss and hangs up before Harry can answer back.

“Love you too,”
—-----------
“We need to talk about what happened before we left,” Gemma stated as they pulled out of the parking lot.

Harry stared out of the window not wanting to discuss management. Gemma understood Louis and Harry's lives, especially with their management. She was around when they were under Syco. She saw firsthand the abuse they went through with fake girlfriends and forced breakups.

“Harry,” Gemma said again in her stern but kind tone.

“They are forcing me to do a pap walk in one week.”

“You told them no right,” Gemma questioned.

He wished he could say he did. “No, but I have my reasons, and don't ask Gemma.”

“Well, you need to talk to Louis about this,”

Harry rolled his eyes looking back out of the window. London's scenery disappeared behind them as they made their way to the Heath. The home Louis and Harry shared for over ten years together. The home he wrote about in many of his songs. The garden in the backyard and the kitchen where they danced like kids. The home where they would raise their daughter.

Louis was a caring and kind man. He loved Harry through many of his mistakes. Louis was also protective and hated Harry's management. Louis won't back down from trying to stop this.
—---------
It was 3 am and sleep finally came over Harry. Darcy finally settled as Harry hummed the melody of My Girl. The moon glistened through the window as the rain lightly fell. Familiar arms wrapped around his waist. Hands caressing his bump. Light kisses were placed along the nape of his neck. Harry placed a hand over Louis'. He was glad to have his love back home but he was also terrified to tell Louis about his pap walk. Right now all he wanted was sleep.
—---------
Week 30

“Good morning,” Louis walked into their bedroom with a cup of peppermint tea and toast with honey. This was Harry's most recent craving and the most normal. “Oooo, the hittites are out.”

Harry walked out of the bathroom as he ran a brush through his wet hair. Harry rolled his eyes with a smile. Grabbing the mug of tea from Louis' hand.

“So, what are we doing today,” Harry sat down next to Louis, taking a sip of the tea. It helped settle his heartburn.

“I was thinking about finishing the nursery and working in the studio for a bit,” Louis said as he took the brush and brushed Harry's hair. It was getting long just like when he was twenty. Harry couldn't decide if he wanted to cut it off or grow it back to his long-haired Harry era.

Harry sunked back against Louis’s chest as he closed his eyes. It was nice to have his husband home. Louis was only gone for a month but to Harry, it could have been a lifetime. Now that he could smell Louis’ Old Spice soap and black coffee he could relax. Louis ran his fingers through Harry’s hair causing Harry to hum in pleasure.

“I love your curls,” Louis whispered, kissing the spot behind his ear.

“You’ve always had,” Harry turned his head slightly to catch Louis’ mouth in a kiss.
Louis placed his hands on Harry’s bump on his favorite spot just above the Laurels. “I hope she has your curls.”

“I hope she has your eyes and smile,” Harry said.

“And your dimples,” Louis moved off the bed. He stood in front of Harry and kissed each dimple that appeared as Harry smiled. Louis grabbed Harry's hand, whisking him down the hall towards Darcy's unfinished nursery. They stopped at the door. Louis motioned for him to close his eyes.

“Okay, I have a surprise and Oli helped with the majority of it while I was on tour. If there is anything you don't like, we can always change it.” Louis pushed the door open to reveal a fully completed and stocked nursery.

It was exactly how Harry pictured it. One wall was dark blue with the moon and stars painted throughout while the rest were a cream color. As Harry stepped closer he noticed their zodiac constellations were in the sky. He ran a hand along the dark oak crib that continued with the star's sheets and blanket. Plus some stuffed animals family members gifted them.

Harry continued walking through the room admiring the small details such as their daughter’s initials written on a blanket on the rocking chair and a sign that said Stay Wild Moon Child. The necklace given to him by Stevie Nicks, the half moon, was framed with the lyrics Landslide in the background.

Tears welled in his eyes as he took everything in. It was perfect. Then he saw the infant jersey with the number 28 on top of Darcy's hospital bag. Harry picked it up laying it across his bump and cried.

Louis came over, wrapping his arms around Harry. He swayed them back and forth as Harry let every feeling he had felt out.

“A fan gave me that in Mexico. They always know,”

They did. Louis and Harry had the best fans in the world. This gift just proves it.

“Thank you, Louis, and I need to call Oliver and tell him he should become a decorator. This is perfect and I think Darcy agrees.” Harry looked down to see a foot protruding against his bump.
—--------------
“Did you know Darcy is the size of a cantaloupe,” Harry asked as he held one in his hands against his bump.

Louis looked up from the soundboard at his adorable husband. “No, I didn't know that.”

“Imagine you have this thing just sitting in your womb pushing against your bladder and kicking your back but you love it so much even if it is just a cantaloupe. I can't believe she is almost here.” Harry said holding the cantaloupe even closer like he was holding their daughter.

Louis pushed away from the soundboard where he was working on a new song. He saw the frown on Harry's face and the outfit he was wearing. His PR outfit with his black shorts and blue jacket. The pearls Louis gave him from their last anniversary hung around his neck. There were no rings on his fingers due to swelling but light pink polish on his nails.

“Harry, is there something you need to tell me,” Louis asked, taking the cantaloupe from Harry and placing it on the couch beside them.

Harry took a step back. He fiddled with his nails as he picked the paint around his nails off. Harry often asked Louis to do them for him as he was better due to having four sisters but this time Harry did them by himself.

Louis knew something was going on and he wished Harry would just say it. Sometimes he wanted to scream because of how stubborn his husband was. More like how stubborn he was towards the wrong people like Louis.

“Harry,” Louis asked again, crossing his arms. Harry looked up. His eyes read, please don't make me say it. Louis deep down knew what was happening but he wanted to hear it from Harry.

“I have a pap walk that I am leaving now for. Jeffery called me the day of my last doctor's appointment to tell me.”

“The bloody hell you do,” Louis shouted but then closed his eyes taking a deep breath.

“You don't understand I have no choice,” Harry cried.

“Yes, you do. God, Harry, you are almost eight months pregnant. You just got off basically bed rest. I bet you could barely walk down the steps to the studio. There's no way you are going to this pap walk for the Assoffs.”

“But you want me on tour with you every show,” Harry snapped.

“I never asked you to. You are so obsessed with your job, Harry, that you could get hurt or worse Darcy,” Louis snapped back.

Tears weld in Harry's eyes. “You didn't want me there with you.”

“I never said that.” Louis corrected. He always wanted, hell needed Harry to be there even if it was through a screen. Harry was the one insisting on being on tour with Louis and taking over the technical stuff because Harry was a workaholic and loved the stage.

“You know what Louis,” but Harry paused as he doubled over in pain. His hand holding his bump. Louis felt fear sink in his chest as he ran over to Harry helping him through the pain. This couldn't be labor contractions, Louis thought, it was too early.

“Louis,” pain intertwined with his name as it fell from Harry's lips.

Not another word was said as Louis carefully but quickly rushed Harry up the steps and into their black Range Rover.
—---------------
Louis watched Harry lay in bed asleep with IVs running through both arms. The sound of his love's heartbeat echoed along with their daughter's.

When they arrived at the hospital, Harry was rushed away quickly for some testing and set up in a lovely room with a view of London. Louis just stood there as if he were the one who had caused this. He might have with their heated discussion. Louis knew he was right. The Azoffs have been using Harry for years with their Pleasing company and pushing him to tour non-stop.

The Azoffs lied years ago that Harry would finally be free. That freedom came with a price and it was selling your soul to have it. Harry agreed if he did these pap walks then Louis and Harry could be free to live their lives. Their relationship was still hidden from the world even if Harry didn't believe so. There was so much planning going on with making sure Harry and Louis were as far away from each other as possible through these dumb pap walks.

Was it better than when they were in One Direction? Absolutely since there were no more forced denials and fake relationships. The Azoffs had a way to scare you if you disobeyed them. The thing was they had never met Louis, alone.

As Louis' eyes grew heavy, he heard Harry's phone buzzing on the side. It could be Anne or Gemma. Louis needed to call them soon about what was going on anyway. Louis looked at the phone to see Jeffery's name flash on the screen.

Louis snapped the phone up walking outside of the hospital. He answered the call as he pulled a cigarette from his pocket, lighting it.

“Harry, where are you,” Jeffery asked.

“He's not coming,” Louis growled as he took another drag of his cigarette.

“Louis,” Jeffery said coolly. He could hear the smirk on his lips. “What's the pleasure of speaking to you? Harry's shadow of a lover.”

That comment right there was what set Louis off. He has dealt with a lot of abuse in the industry. He took it with pride. Louis' love for Harry would never be demolished to a shadow. He was more than a lover but a husband who had to keep quiet while he watched the one he loved, be abused through fake promises and loophole contracts.

“You fucking assoffs. Why don't you just piss off and find another superstar to mooch off of? Harry is in the hospital right now experiencing contractions because of you fucking losers. Leave me husband alone. If something happens to him or our daughter you will regret it. See I'm not as accommodating as Harry is. I can play the game long enough for you bastards to realize I was winning the whole time.” The line went quiet. Louis looked down to see Jeffery had ended their call. Good, Louis thought, he had nothing else to say to him.

Louis took one last puff of his cigarette before stomping it out and making his way back to Harry's room. He walked in to find Harry was awake, cradling his bump with tears down his face. Louis ran over, placing his love’s face in his hands. He wiped each tear away as they fell.

“Hey, hey, everything is okay. She's okay.” Louis reassured.

Harry shook his head no. “No, she isn’t.”

“Darcy is okay. Do you hear that?”

Harry nodded yes as they both listened to their daughter’s strong heartbeat. The doctors came in after Harry fell asleep to explain what had happened. Harry was experiencing Braxton Hicks. These were false contractions that a person feels as they get closer to birth. Harry’s body was just preparing him for that time and he just needed to drink plenty of water to lessen the pain.

Louis held Harry as the doctors came in and out of the room. They were soon to be discharged and going home. They were going home with the same issues. The Azoffs.

“They threaten her,” Harry whispered as Louis pushed him down the hall to their waiting car.

“Yeah, I figured. Spoked to old Assoff. I think I got him scared. We are getting you out of this contract with them before Darcy is born.” Louis had 10 weeks to complete what he should have done years ago.

Week 35
Life grew simple for Harry and Louis for the first time in their lives since they were young kids on the X Factor. Louis canceled the rest of his festival appearances except for his own even though Harry begged him to go. Harry tried to convince him that he would be okay staying at home with Gemma and his mom was just a few minutes away but Louis had none of it. For the first time, they were normal people as they got ready for the arrival of their daughter.
At first, Harry and Louis agreed not to have a baby shower as they would be busy bouncing from country to country but with them both being at home and after the scare they had, they found having a party with all of their friends and family would be a good thing. Louis ordered Harry to rest while he got everything together. He just couldn’t rest with his back killing him. Darcy was running out of space and Harry could feel it every time she moved.

Instead of resting, Harry decided to finish packing up their hospital bags and putting away some clothes they got from their last trip out. Some dresses and bear theme shirts. Stuff Dracy wouldn’t be able to wear for months after she was born. Harry still couldn't believe there were only five weeks until she would be here. Felt like yesterday when he flew to California to tell Louis.

A kiss landed on Harry's neck as he finished folding the last shirt. “Babe, we have guests in like ten minutes,” Harry warned. He knew Louis liked to leave marks.

“I couldn't help it. You just look so beautiful.” Louis pulled back hovering close to Harry's face. Harry rolled his eyes. It was hard to feel beautiful lately when everything hurt and you felt like a balloon ready to pop.

“I'm being serious, Hazza. You are gorgeous and hot.” Louis stated in a serious tone.

Once again Harry rolled his eyes but gave Louis a light kiss on the lips. Louis deepened the kiss and pulled Harry as close as he could with his bump sticking out. Louis' hand continued to travel his hands down to Harry's ass. Harry let out a gasp at the touch. Harry pushed Louis' fringe out of his face knowing what would lead to..

“Oi, don't mess with the hair, Styles.” Louis hollered as he jumped back fixing his hair. Louis was very particular with his hair especially when people would see him.

“Whatever Tomlinson.” Harry waddled out of the room as he heard voices coming from the living room. Setting up the gift table even though they said no gifts was Gemma and Lottie. Lucky was playing next to the couch with his cars.

“We said no gifts,” Harry said.

“And we said we don’t care. Our niece deserves the world.” Gemma said placing the last box of diapers on the table.

“Plus every little girl needs her first pair of ballet slippers and football,” Lottie chimed in handing Harry each item.

Tears pricked at the corner of his eyes as he held the items that were special to both Harry and Louis and would someday be special to Darcy.

“Louis, look,” Harry cried as he showed Louis the football. Louis grabbed the little ball with tears in his eyes as well. A football shouldn’t provoke this kind of emotion but for them, football is what led them to fall in love. Of course, their love of music connected them but their first date was a football game. Their first kiss was when they were sitting on the couch watching Manchester United play. It would be an understatement that football was important to them.

“Thank you,” Harry said as Louis wrapped an arm around his shoulder. Gemma and Lottie looked at each other in confusion.

“Um, you're welcome,” Lottie said as she walked towards the kitchen. No one would understand but at least Harry and Louis did.
—-------------------
The party was in full swing. Louis could admit that this one was much better than their baby announcement was. Louis stood against the kitchen door watching Harry laugh at a joke Niall was telling. His hands firmly planted on top of his bump rubbing where Darcy was lying asleep. She was sleeping all day and up all night which resulted in Harry being up all night. This led Louis to be up all night. He wouldn’t change it for the world. The best conversations all happened at night over a slightly burnt grilled cheese and a cuppa of Yorkshire tea.

Harry’s laugh continued to ring out among the crowd. It made Louis’ heart squeeze with happiness. They have been at their happiness in the last few weeks. Just the two of them playing a normal life like they have always wanted. Louis knew he needed to keep this feeling going. This meant getting rid of the Assoffs. The man he needed to do that just walked into the room. Simon Anderson, the best lawyer in the music business.

Louis pushed off the wall, making his way towards Simon.

“Simon, mate, how have you been?”

“Lou, congratulations mate on the baby. I bet you and Harry are buzzin',” Simon chuckled clamping a hand on Louis’ shoulder.

“We are, we are. Actually, that’s why I need you.” Louis pulled Simon into the kitchen where there was no one around to hear.

“What is this about Louis,” Simon questioned.

“The Azzoffs have been treating Harry like shit for years. There have been so many false promises and loophole contracts. He was supposed to be free from the bullshit and the closeting and the ridiculous pap walks. You know Harry almost had a scare of miscarrying Darcy because of them people. Luckily it was just Braxton Hicks but still. I need your help getting him out of this contract before Darcy is born.” Louis rubbed a hand down his face.

“Louis, I can’t just get him out of the contracts,” Simon frowned.
“But you can, You are the best in the business. Why don’t you just sit down and look at them?” Louis pleaded.

“Fine, I will try. “

Louis smiled taking Simon up to their office where all of their contracts were in a neat yellow folder. Louis sat them down in front of Simon. This was going to work and Harry was going to be free. They would finally be free.
—---------------------------------
“No, I’m not saying a word,” Harry laughed. Harry was at his happiest. Time with just him and Louis, while they prepared for their daughter, was blissful. It was everything he ever wanted in his life. Even if there was an ache in his chest for his life that he had almost a year ago.

“You can tell her favorite aunt what her name will be,” Lottie pleaded.

“She’s not even born yet. How do you know you will be the favorite,” Daisy questioned.

“Because I’m cool and have a great fashion sense. I also have amazing makeup skills. I also give great advice,” Lottie counteracted.

Before Harry could say another word he felt lips press against his neck as a giggle escaped from his throat. Hands ran down his arms and caressed his bump.

“Lottie, our daughter will be born with all of that just because of who her parents are. Plus she will have five aunts to make her favorite.” Louis quipped back.

“No one will know her name until she is in my arms after hours worth of screaming,” Harry laughed, bringing Louis’ lips to his. The taste of champagne burst across his tongue. Harry’s fingers wound around Louis’ hair deepening the kiss. Louis moved around the couch sitting on the edge. Louis ran a hand along his thigh making a moan escape from his throat.

“Ugh, get a room you two,” Phoebe rolled her eyes making a gagging sound.

Louis pulled away only an inch so, Harry could still smell his apple shampoo.

“Already did,” Louis chuckled raising his eyebrows towards Harry's bump.

“Gross,” Daisy said.

“Excuse me,” Simon said. “Louis, can I speak to you?”

Louis slid off the couch walking away with Simon. Harry was curious about what Louis was speaking about to their lawyer. He knew Louis was on a warpath with the Azoffs after what happened a few weeks ago. His husband thought he could get him out of his unbreakable contract. He hoped he could for all of their sakes.
—-----------
“Presents,” Gemma asked to bring each box over to Harry. Louis watched as Simon was explaining his findings. Most of the legal stuff Louis blanked out on. That's why you had lawyers to take care of that kind of stuff.

“So, Harry can get out of his contacts and keep all of his music and stage rights.”

“Wait what,” Louis snapped out of concentration while watching Harry unbox a very expensive Tiffany bracelet. Why does a newborn need that, Louis will never understand but now his daughter had one.

“Harry's contracts can be broken due to the simple fact that he signed them when he was Styles and now he's legally Tomlinson so the contracts are null and void due to this fact.”

Louis just stood there staring at the man. All this time Harry could have been gone all because of a simple name change and neither one of them thought of this. Louis wrapped his arms around Simon as tears pricked in the corner of his eyes.

“You don't even know what you just did. Oh, you have made me the happiest man Simon.”

Before another word was said Harry called him over to look at the prettiest custom-made dress-up clothes that Darcy wouldn't be able to wear until she was at least three years old. Louis shook his head but continued to smile.
—------------
“Hey, what were you talking to Simon about,” Harry asked as he finished putting lotion on.

Harry opted for no clothes as he was suffering from hot flashes. Another glorious symptom of being pregnant. Harry enjoyed being pregnant mostly. Loved carrying Darcy and feeling her move but he would be glad when it was her eviction notice. He just wanted to hold his little girl in his arms and sing her the song he had written for her that he had not yet shared with anyone. Not even Louis.

“Well, he figured out how to get you out of your contracts,” Louis said as he walked out of the bathroom with nothing on himself.

Harry's eyes grew wide as he examined every inch of his husband's body. From the 78 tattoo to the hidden triangle on his ankle. Louis had delicate features from his cheekbones to his wrists to his muscles. Just because they were delicate didn't mean he wasn't strong. Trust Harry, he's felt how strong Louis could be. If it was any other night and Harry didn't feel gross then he would have definitely had sex with his husband. Harry needed it.

“‘Arry,” Louis questioned, quirking his eyebrows up with that mischievous grin of his.

“Sorry, lost in thought,” Harry said.

“Ah, I know what you were thinking about,” Louis snickered, planting a kiss on Harry's lips.

“Tomlinson, not tonight,” Harry rolled his eyes at Louis' advancements.

“Fine, Styles but can we cuddle at least.” Louis pouted.

“Yes, but no covers and I'm using my body pillow.”

“Fine, David Hasselhoff can join us.” Harry and Louis curled in bed with Louis' arms wound tight around Harry's middle. Their daughter was active under his hands meaning they wouldn't be getting much sleep tonight. That was okay as they had some stuff to discuss.

“What did you want to tell me about my contracts,” Harry asked as he traced a finger along Louis' 28 tattoo.

“Simon figured out that since you married me and changed your legal name to Tomlinson which means all of your contracts with Styles are null and void. That means Harry you are free.”

“What,” Harry said in shock. He couldn't believe this was real. He also couldn't believe a simple name change had set him free. His name had been changed for seven years. Right after he signed his contracts with the Azoffs. Right after they promised him and Louis a better life than they ever had under Syco. Which were all false promises.

“Yeah, Simon is drafting everything and working it out. By tomorrow you will officially be a free agent.”

“We're finally free,” Harry cried.

“Yeah, we are finally free baby,” Louis said, drawing circles in the taunt skin of Harry's stomach.

“What about the future?” Harry asked.

“Well, we can make our own record label by combining our two companies. Our canvases are big enough that we don't need any big label backing. We could become a big label one day. Sign all of the boys and new artists. We could be the people for others that we never had.” Louis said.

Harry liked the idea. Being in control of their careers and maybe helping others live out their dreams. But it wasn't Harry's dream. Harry wanted to be on stage singing and dancing. Having fun with the crowd. Louis was more of the manager type. He also said he wanted to be just like Simon Cowell but better. Kinder. More open-minded.

“I want to go back on stage. Just one show when she is like eight months to a year. I just need to be back out there playing music.” Harry confessed.

“That’s an amazing idea. I can make a couple of phone calls and book the Wembley or could do something more intimate like the O2 or even smaller like The Royal Albert Hall.”

Louis continued to plan the show. From the location to the setlist. Louis even ran to his office for his computer so he could plan the graphics and lights. Harry sat up in the bed pressing his back against their headboard and the covers lying across his lap. Harry was perplexed by the excitement of his husband over the thought of him performing again. This was a thought he hadn’t shared with anyone due to the fear of pushback from others. How could Harry possibly go back to performing after having a baby? The world would believe he should be at home taking care of his daughter. Why couldn’t he do both? Be the performer he always loved to be and the mom he wanted to be.

Then there was Louis who not for a second ever thought the way the world would have. He supported Harry with every crazy idea he had. How could Harry get so lucky? Tears streamed down his cheeks.

“Harry, what’s wrong,” Louis placed his laptop off to the side and pulled Harry into his lap.

“I’m just so grateful for you. I love you so much,” Harry cried.

Louis wiped away each tear that clung to each of Harry’s eyelashes. “Hey, I love you too my love but that doesn’t tell me why you are crying.”

“I thought you would be mad at me and then you weren’t. I don’t know what I did to deserve you.” Harry said.

“I wonder that for myself every day. It's because Harry you are you. The sun in my world. I could never be mad for you wanting to perform again. I actually knew you were itching to get back on stage for a while now.” Louis said as he cradled Harry close to his chest.

“Would that make me a bad mother?”

“You could never be a bad mother just because you want to work. Harry, you are an artist and the way you are will show our daughter a strong role model. Darcy will know her mother loves her through the songs you sing and when you tuck her in bed after you sing those songs.”

Louis rubbed his fingers up and down Harry’s arms making his eyes close. Just in a matter of seconds all of the negative thoughts that were going through his mind were gone. That was who Louis was, the one that held him down when he was spinning out. There was one thing that was still on Harry’s mind. What about Louis’ career?

“When is your next performance after the Away From Home festival?” Harry asked.

There was a silence between them. For someone like Louis, there was rarely silence. There was always a stream of thoughts being spilled out of his mouth. From the most mundane subjects to the most thought-provoking filibusters. That was just who Louis was but never quiet.

“Lou,” Harry said, breaking the silence.

“I’m taking a step away for a while. I’m going to focus on writing and spend time with Darcy.” Louis admitted.

Harry turned around looking at Louis in shock. “What, Louis, you’ve just started to create everything you wanted.”

“The whole time through your pregnancy I have been galavanting around the world being a rockstar when I should have been here with you.” Harry started to say something but Louis shook his head no.

“I talked to Oli about this and he said that the music would be here waiting for me when I decide to come back. I just want to be here with you and Darcy. I want to teach her how to play football and guitar. I just don’t want to miss a moment.”

There were tears again for Harry. “I can’t do the show. I am going to miss moments if I do.”

“Shhh, baby, you won’t miss a thing as me and Darcy will be right there watching the whole thing. You know Darcy is already a concert pro,” Louis chuckled rubbing along Harry’s bump.

Harry smiled leaning in to place a kiss on Louis’ lips. He was always right. Louis grabbed his laptop showing the show details to Harry until they both fell asleep in each other’s arms.

TMZ: Harry Styles has officially left Columbia Records and has left all of his management team. There is no word on what Styles will be doing as he has been MIA for several months. Rumors are swirling that a baby may be in the forecast.

40 weeks
Today was the day for the Away From Home festival. Louis and Harry got into Sheffield the day before as well as all of their family and friends. Harry knew Louis joked that this festival was more like the coming home festival with how many people were there for them to celebrate.

Today also wasn’t just the festival day but Harry’s due date. Harry could feel it as his bump had dropped making it hard to walk and it felt like there was no more space for Darcy to move. When Harry woke up he started to feel slight contractions. Nothing strong, just slight cramping that lasted about 45 seconds. As he grabbed another glass of tea another one hit.

Harry cursed under his breath. “Darcy, please not today. Not on Daddy’s special day.”

“What was that, Harry?” Harry looked up to see Louis walking into their hotel room with a wide smile and a bag from the cafe down the road with croissants.

“Nothing, honey, just talking to Darcy about your big day,” Harry smiled.

Louis walked over placing a kiss on Harry’s temple. “How is my girl today?”

“She is sitting so low. Like I feel her in my hips.” Harry said rubbing on the spot his daughter just kicked.

Louis gave him a concerned look. “Are you feeling any contractions?”

Harry shook his head no. “Nope, just the usual discomfort. Don’t worry, I think Darcy will like to hear you sing before arriving. There is nothing to worry about.” Harry knew that what he said was a lie. He was in labor. He just hoped active labor would hold off until after Louis went on. There was no reason to worry Louis right before his big performance tonight.

“Are you sure?”

Harry nodded yes.

“Okay but please let me know if anything changes. Darcy is more important than this festival.” Louis lifted Harry's bump knowing this would relieve some of the pain in his back. Harry ran his fingers through Louis' bangs, fixing them in a perfect swoop.

“Can you get my mom before soundcheck?”

“Of course babe.”
—----------
The car ride was uncomfortable. Being in the summer heat was uncomfortable. Even being in the dressing room was uncomfortable. The room was amazing. Looked just like their living room in London with their white couch and black curtains. In the corner were greenhouse plants that Harry had no brain capacity to remember what they were called. Plus the smell of sage and lavender waft through the room from one of Harry's favorite candles. The room was perfect but it was Harry that wasn't. He needed his mom.

Harry lay on the couch with a book in hand. Gemma recommended an author from Italy but Harry had to admit that it was boring. His eyes grew heavy over the words until the book fell on his face jolting him awake. As he opened his eyes he saw the door cracking open. Harry hoped it was his mom or even Louis but instead, it was Oli.

“Hey, Oliver, why aren’t you with Louis,” Harry asked. There was a concerned look on Oli’s face that Harry did not like. “Please don’t tell me that Louis broke his arm again,”

Oli laughed shaking his head no. “Actually, Louis asked me to come and tell you that your mom and sister aren’t here yet due to traffic. They might be here by right before Louis gets on stage,”

Harry could feel his chest tighten. He needed his mom here now. He started rubbing his hands together trying to slow down his breathing. As he was panicking a contraction hit making him gasp.

“Harry, are you okay? Should I go get Lou?” Oli asked.

Harry closed his eyes and took a deep breath. “I’m in labor and you can’t tell Louis.”

“Why not? We need to get you to the hospital.” Oli yelled out of fear.

Harry shook his head no. “I’m tracking my contractions on my phone. I’m nowhere near time to go to the hospital. Besides, tonight is a big night for Louis and we both know Louis. He cares so much for everyone else and if he knows I’m in labor, he would drop everything to sit here while I experience some cramps.”

“So, you will not say anything to Louis. Actually, I need you to stay with me until my mom gets here.” Harry laid back against the couch, closing his eyes. He needed as much sleep as he could get because he was going to be in for a long night.
—-------
There were two hours until show time and Louis was buzzing. Going on stage and feeling the crowds was Louis’ favorite part of the job. He would miss it but when he was playing with Lucky all he could think about was this time next year Louis would be playing with Darcy in between soundchecks. Walking away from music would be okay since he would be trading in vodka and Red Bulls for formula and diapers.

“Rob, time,” Louis asked as he walked towards his dressing room. He needed to see Harry one last time before going out on stage. Harry was the one who calmed his nerves before every big performance. He was his rock.

“90 minutes boss,” Rob shouted.

“Thanks, man,” Louis called as he pushed his dressing room door open to find Oli asleep in the corner and Harry also asleep on the couch. There was a painful look on his face and his hands were rubbing the underside of his bump.

Louis leaned down placing a kiss on Harry’s temple. Harry stirred under his touch. His eyes opened to reveal the light green eyes that brought him to dreams every night.

“Sunflower,” Harry whispered through a sleepy yawn. His eyes closed again and his eyebrows pinched in discomfort.

“Hazza, are you feeling okay,” Louis squatted down to push stray strands of hair out of Harry’s eyes.

Harry nodded. “Yeah, just feeling a bit tired.”

Louis knew Harry was lying. It was written all over his face. Harry was in pain and Louis feared it was due to potential contractions.

“Baby, are you in labor,” Louis questioned.

“No, just Braxton Hicks. Just lay with me until Krystal and Helen pull you away so, you can go be a rock star.” Harry pouted.

Louis nodded his head okay and sat on the opposite end. He pulled Harry into his arms as he stroked up and down his bump.
—----------
The crowd was loud and the show was going off without a hitch. Harry could hear Louis singing which helped ground him in between each contraction. Each one was getting stronger and closer together. Oli was trying to do the best he could even though Harry knew he was freaking out. Oli got the ice chips Harry asked for and turned down the lights when they became overwhelming. Oli even allowed Harry to hold onto his shoulders when the pain grew too much.

“Hey, get Louis,” Harry sucked in a deep breath as another contraction spread through his abdomen. The contractions were getting a lot closer compared to this morning. He knew it was time to go to the hospital or the fear of having his daughter in the dressing room.

“Harry, Louis is on stage. I can't really get him,” Oli said. There was panic in his voice.

“Oliver, I don't give a fuck. This baby is coming and it doesn't care if Louis is singing Drag me down,” Harry sucked in another breath bending over the couch. “Now,” Harry yelled.

Oli scrambled out of the door. Harry felt bad but right now he needed to focus on his breathing.
—----------
The show was going so great. Louis felt great, his family was watching in the VIP box, and Harry was watching in the live stream in the room. Louis was also on alert as he knew Harry was experiencing some discomfort but Harry assured him that it was just the baby moving lower. There was nothing to worry about.

As he began to sing 505 Louis looked over to the wing of the stage to see Oli jumping up and down to get his attention. Louis held out his mic to allow the audience to sing as he tried to figure out what was going on.

“Harry,” Oli yelled.

Louis looked at him needing more details. Oli tapped his wrist and then signaled a baby by rocking his arms back and forth.

“Oh, shit,” Louis said and it echoed through the crowd as he accidentally said it through his mic. He dropped it running backstage.

“Wait, you need to say something,” Oli said, turning him back towards the crowd. Louis ran back on stage grabbing the mic. He had no clue what he was going to say but what he did say was a surprise for all.

“I'm going to be a dad,” Louis yelled. The crowd erupted in cheers and confusion as he ran down the hall to his dressing room. He threw the door open to spot Harry rocking his hips back and forth leaning on the couch. Louis never thought Harry looked so hot.

“Baby time,” Louis asked.

“Baby time,” Harry agreed.

Louis ran over to Harry, swinging his arm around his shoulder to bear most of Harry’s weight. He ran his fingers up and down Harry’s back as he finished breathing out the last bit of the contraction.

“How long have you been experiencing contractions,” Louis asked.

“Since this morning,” Harry confessed.

“Wot, since this morning,” Louis yelled.

“Don’t yell at me. I’m having you baby,” Harry yelled back.

“And it’s none of my business,” Louis laughed. Harry glared at him but right when they reached the car Harry doubled over as another contraction ripped through his body. Louis held Harry as he breathed through it. Louis knew they were just starting but watching and hearing Harry moan through the pain broke Louis’ heart. He just wanted to take all of his pain away.

“Harry,” Louis looked up to see Anne, Harry’s mom running towards them with the rest of their family and friends.

“Anne, we are heading to the hospital right now,” Louis said as he placed Harry in the car.

“Mom,” Harry cried reaching out for his mom. Anne ran towards her son, brushing his hair off his forehead. She whispered to him to calm Harry down. Louis knew Harry needed his mom right now and he was willing to give him that. He also needed his mom. Tears were shed in his eyes when he felt an arm wrapped around his shoulder. It was Lottie.

“Congratulations big brother,” Lottie smiled leaning her head on his shoulder.

They pulled into the parking lot of the hospital as Harry’s contractions were now 3 minutes apart and a minute long. Harry didn’t know how much longer he could do this. He hoped the doctor would say he was at least eight centimeters or if his water would break as they walked into the building. Anything to feel like all of this pain was worth it.

Louis brought him a wheelchair and took him towards the entrance. They were met by a doctor as his doctor was unable to make it. Dr. Jackson was very nice and they both trusted her just as much as they trusted Dr. Madison. Harry left his mom in the waiting room which broke his heart but he knew he had Louis by his side.

Louis was amazing and so attentive as he helped Harry change out of his sweaty clothes into his hospital gown. He held Harry’s hand as he slowly sat down on the bed. Louis placed a kiss on Harry’s temple as he pushed his hair back with a blue bandana.

“I love you,” Harry said.

“I love you more,” Louis smiled.

“Harry, how are you doing?” Dr. Jackson walked in with a smile. Just as she asked another contraction hit making his stomach tighten. He lay his head on Louis’s shoulder as Louis massaged his hips. Harry let a breath out as the contraction ended. Louis whispered in his ear if he was okay and he nodded yes.

“That was a tough one,” Harry laughed.

Dr. Jackson grabbed his chart as the nurse wrapped the heart monitor around his bump and the contraction monitor as well. Harry watched the screen as his daughter’s heartbeat was steady.

“So, your water hasn’t broken yet which is okay. There is still enough time for it to even though you know have been in labor for almost fourteen hours. Now let's see how far you have dilated.” Dr. Jackson pulled on a pair of gloves as Harry laid against the bed. “Now you will feel some pressure,”

Harry sucked in a breath as Dr. Jackson examined for his progress. He held Louis’ hand looking into his blue eyes.

“You are four cm which is okay but seems like we are here for a long night. Harry, if you need anything please press the call button,” Dr. Jackson smiled as she walked out of the room. Harry leaned back with a huff. Only four cm and he’s been doing this for hours already. How could he keep doing this for another six cm?
—--------------
2 am
Louis’ eyes grew tired as the night went on. Harry was progressing slowly but still progressing as the last check he was at six cm. That just made Harry mad and started cussing at him like it was his fault. So much for the treat people with kindness slogan. That wasn’t fair of Louis, he knew he was just tired.

“Louis,” Harry snipped after an intense contraction. Louis stood up, walking over to Harry and grabbing his hands.

“Yes, my love,” Louis asked.

“Quit it. You’re not cute. Also, I need to walk. The pressure in my hips and back is too much for me to handle.” Louis pulled Harry up and grabbed the IV pole for Harry to steady himself. Louis rubbed the areas that were hurting. Harry hummed at the sensation. “Thank you, Lou. I’m sorry I’ve been so snippy.”

Louis let the tension he was holding in his shoulders release. He didn’t like when Harry was angry or uncomfortable. He wanted to make sure his husband was okay. Louis kissed Harry’s shoulder as he continued to rub the areas.

“It’s okay sun. I know you are feeling horrible but I’m here for you. Remember we are a team and I’m here to help.” Louis walked around to be face-to-face with Harry. Harry was pouting with tears in his eyes.

“I’m sorry, Lou. It's just that I’m scared and it hurts really bad. I just want this to be over so I can have Darcy in my arms.”

“I know and I want that too but we have to be patient. Let's go on a nice walk and talk about something else. Just please don’t call me a wanker again.”

“What if you are being a wanker,” Harry laughed.

Louis rolled his eyes taking Harry’s hand. Before they can walk out of the door, Harry stops dead in his tracks. Louis looked over to see the panic in Harry’s eyes.

“Hazza, what’s wrong?” Harry’s eyes darted down to the floor where there was a puddle on the floor. Harry’s water broke. Louis grabbed the call button to signal for Dr. Jackson to come.

“Louis, I need a shower and clothes. Oh my God, my water just broke,” Harry cried.

Louis helped pull Harry’s gown off and guided him into the bathroom to wash Harry up. As they finished Dr. Jackson walked in with an extra gown in her hands.

“I see your water has broken. Once you are dressed let's see your dilation.” Louis grabbed the gown pulling it over Harry’s head and guided him back to the bed.

“Congratulations, Harry, you are eight cm. Now that your water broke things will be progressing rather quickly. I say we may have a baby in the next hour or two.”

Louis could see the relief on Harry’s face. If he was being honest he was also relieved. Then there was a slight fear creeping up his spine. Harry and Louis were going to be parents as the sun rose and that was scary.
—-------------------
Harry’s labor continued to progress with a lot more screaming than in the previous hours. Louis’ hand was almost crushed in between a few of them but he knew the pain in his hand couldn’t compare to the pain Harry was going through.

Louis watched as Harry slept. Based on all of Harry’s many books this was the resting stage and would soon be moving to the second stage. There was going to be a baby in their arms in a matter of minutes. Louis needed to have a cigarette break before that could happen.

Louis slipped out of the room and down to the waiting room where all of their family was waiting. “Anne,” Anne sat up with several blinks.

“Do we have a baby?”

Louis shook his head no. “I need to take a quick break and was seeing if you could sit with Harry. He’s asleep right now.”

Anne said yes leaving Louis to take a quick walk outside. He patted his pockets to realize he left all of his cigarettes in the dressing room. Louis huffed, lying his head against the concert wall of the hospital.

“Want one,” Louis looked over to see his best friend holding a cigarette out to him. Louis gratefully took it and lit it. “How are things going?”

“The doctor said Darcy would be here in the next hour.”

“Darcy?” Oli smiled.

“Shit, yeah Darcy. The dark one. Harry’s choice but it sounds amazing right.” Louis took another drag as he looked at the time on his phone. He was giving himself five more minutes before going in.

“How are you feeling, Louis? I can see you are panicking.”

“No, I’m not,” Louis cried. Oli looked down at Louis’ hands where he was rubbing at his palm. A nervous tick of his since he was a kid.

“It’s becoming very real. Like my baby will be in my arms. What if I can’t do this?” Louis sighed.

“Lou, stop it. You are going to be the best father mate. The way you have been researching and planning for Darcy since you found out about her eight months ago. So, don’t worry about it. Now go back up there and have a baby.” Oli punched his friend in the shoulder making Louis go ow.
—---------------
As Louis walked back into the room he could hear Harry’s scream. Louis ran over to him grabbing his hand. Harry crossed him a glare that meant he was in trouble.

“Where the hell were you?” Harry snapped between breaths.

“I had to get some air. I’m sorry, sun.”

Before another word was said Dr. Jackson instructed Harry to push.

“7,8,9,10. Breathe Harry. You are doing amazing. Okay, this next one I need you to push as are as you can.” She instructed.

Harry shook his head no looking over at Louis with desperate eyes. “I can’t do this. It hurts too much.”

Louis stroked Harry’s cheek and brushed a stray hair that fell over Harry’s eyes. “Sun, yes you can. You have grown and protected our daughter for the last night months. So, you can birth her as well.”

Harry shook his head and pushed. A scream was let out as the head emerged with a full head of brown hair.

“Okay, Harry, the head is out. Now push and we will have a baby on our hands.” As Harry pushed Louis could hear the cries of their daughter. The doctor laid the pink, crying baby on Harry’s chest. They both looked at each other as tears streamed down their face.

“Oh Harry, she’s beautiful,”

One year later
“Hello, everyone. Welcome to the Away From Home festival. It’s fucking cool to be able to headline for my husband’s festival. As some of you know, I've been busy this year. I had a baby girl and she's amazing. So, who's ready to sing and dance and show her what a concert is really like.” Harry glanced over to Louis holding Darcy who was asleep in his arms. Louis shook his head with a smirk. Darcy was a professional at concerts even if all of them were in the womb.

Louis looked down at his daughter who was the spitting image of him except for her curly, dark locks. That was all Harry. The first year was hard with lots of sleepless nights and dirty diapers. Seeing their little girl get to hear her mother perform on stage as she sang her song.

“This is a new song called My Darlin’. I wrote this after I learned I was pregnant. I was terrified as it was a weird time in our lives. As I wrote this song I realized that she has been a blessing and I love her a lot. So, here’s My Darlin’.”

"How's my goddaughter?" Oli asked.

"She's perfect." Louis beamed.
