Harry was sure to be silent as he walked through the parking lot to the car where the three kids were safely hidden from the creatures that had once been human. He knew even the slightest sound would set every one of the creatures in the area on him in seconds. Climbing into the driver's seat he quickly shut the door knowing that if he tried to close it slowly it would squeak. Once in the car he turned to the children in the backseat, “We will be heading towards Hogwarts to find a safe spot to stay for longer, is there anything you three need?” The oldest, Lily, spoke first “Teddy needs more medicine for his cough”, Emma answered next “I would like a book if you can find one while getting Teddy’s medicine.” Teddy had never been truly healthy having been born with a lung problem and he had never learned to speak. Harry, having got his answer, turned back around and started the car, driving on to find a pharmacy. It took only about an hour to find one that did not have the infected crowded inside, a fact that was not common to say. Harry is careful getting out, he had to climb through the window to not alert the creatures. Walking into the building he is quick to head for the back knowing that the medicine Teddy needs is prescription strength and therefore not kept in the front. Upon getting all of the medicine the place had he grabbed a couple of books that were kept in the place for people to learn about the body and how to take care of it. Returning to the car as fast as possible he gets in and hands Lily the bounty. Getting back on the road they head on to Hogsmead. They don’t stop there for more than the time it takes to eat their lunch however. Eventually they made their way to the coast, at which point they transitioned to a boat. It takes all night but finally the little group of four make it to an island without any infected.
__________Five years later__________
It had been a long time now but even Harry was not immune to the infection, the children know that they can not keep him on the island. Lily, taking charge, builds a raft and as he is turning he steps onto and pushes the raft away from the island.
__________Almost 60 years later__________
Lily is the first of the once children to pass, she dies of age and like Harry had been so many years before her body is laid upon a raft and set to sea. Teddy falls victim to the lung disease he had been born with and like the two before him is set to the sea on a raft. Emma knowing that she does not have long left takes a roll of parchment and begins to write her tale, she writes of her life and the lives of her siblings as well as the tale of Harry Potter ‘The Boy Who Lived’. Placing the rolled up parchment into a bottle that is sealed and made watertight, she sets it adrift in the waves. Two days later she sets herself down on a raft as it drifts away from the island she had called home, watching as the sun set she took her final breath.
__________A thousand years later__________
A small girl with fiery red hair and emerald eyes kneels in the sand. Picking up the bottle she had found she runs to her mother, a beautiful young woman with mousy brown hair and chocolate eyes. The young girl asks her mother to read the paper within the bottle to her. The mother obliges, “The tale of Emma Lupin and her family.”
