   Summary

   “Still though.. I wish like the perfect girl could just fall from the sky so I can marry her and get my folks off my back.” Steve whines.

   Eddie hums, “I mean, we can always get married” he jokes, hoping to get a laugh out of the other, or at least remove the frown and somewhat awkward silence.

   “Eddie, that’s an amazing idea!” Steve exclaims.

   “It.. is?” Eddie asks slowly, unsure where Steve was going with this but definitely not liking it.

   TLDR: In 1991 Steve and Eddie make a pinky promise to get married if they are both single at 40. In 2017 they meet again and you just can't break a pinky promise. (Basically, the prompt "Write a comedy about two characters that make a childhood pact to get married if they are both single at 40, and when 40 comes around they realize they have to complete the pact" but I make it Steddie because I love them.)
