Summary
The baby's crying is what wakes up Wukong. It's a faint sound, but there nonetheless and instinctively, he sits up in bed.
Yawning, Wukong gets up, stumbling through his house in a sleepy daze as he searches for the source of the crying.
There, in his living room, the cub cries out, throwing a tantrum in its crib and without second thought, Wukong leans down and picks up the cub. Soothingly, he rocks the child back and forth, eventually lulling the baby back to sleep and he puts them back into the crib before proceeding to go back to bed.
It's only when he's laid down, head hitting the pillow, that Wukong realizes something - he doesn't have a cub.
