"Percy Jackson is dead!" the voice was filled with so much joy, it made me want to throw up. it was sickening, I don't know what happened on the top of the Empire State Building. all I know, Percy died, Annabeth ran away and Thalia...
and Thalia was chained up, next to Luke. His arms were wrapped around her, her face was numb as he whispered something in her ear. After Percy died, the god's had arrived. Thalia tried to warn them but, it was already too late. Kronos/Luke went insane, slaughtering all the big three. Apollo, Athena and Hermes disappear. The rest, I have been told have died as well, but Thalia was the only one who truly know what happened. Kronos/Luke used Zeus body to separate themselves. when Kronos came down from Olympus with Thalia and Luke by his side. it was mayhem, demigods running in various direction. Clarisse had grabbed me, and we fled to the med-bay. where Will and Kayla were trying to help get the patient's out the backdoor. Silena had been severely injured during her fight with the Lydian drakon, but Will had gotten there just in time and saved her. if he had been a minute later she would have di... never mind. it was at this point when the med-bay was flooded with Titian army monster's and Demigod's, who had one mission.
round up traitors!
that's when the screaming began... it never really stopped afterwards.
we were chained and marched to time square, there are about fifty demi-gods who were chained and pushed to kneel, before the Titan Lord.
"You've lost, your leader is dead. Your parents are dead, but you don't have to worry I understand." His voice was riddled with fake sympathy. I felt Clarisse finger curl around mine, I glanced at her. she had Silena leaning against her, she didn't look good at all, she needed to rest. I tightened my finger around Her's, her eye's skipped to mine. Clarisse was one of the strongest people even with the loss of the war, fresh on our minds she looked more determined than ever. that's my girl!
"I will allow each one of you a chance to be forgiven, you can proclaim me as your leader or you can spend the rest of your life in those chain's, I'm sure some of my more devout members deserve a prize" My heart stopped at those words, he wouldn't sell us off as slaves! would he? there were dozens of outcries from the demigods, along with many whoops and holler's from the monster's and titan army demigods.
"Get your hands off me" The scream pierced through the noise, but I would have heard her anyway. Katie was desperately trying to pull herself off of Ethan, who had proceeded to grab her. My heart dropped when I saw who was chained next to her. Travis and Conner Stoll. Travis was trying and failing to get Katie away from Ethan. But Conner didn't even try to help, he had his head in his hands.
"Maybe we should finish this up, you remember how Impatient Ethan is" Luke Castellan announced, giving Ethan a death glare, which Ehan in turn let go of Katie. Kronos seemed to smile at Luke, i don't if you could call it a smile.
"Anyone willing to make amends for their wrong doings" Luke voice was followed by beckoning silence. demi-gods alike were searching for if anyone was even thinking about joining. I felt movement and outcries arose behind me. my breath was stuck in my throat as I watched a demigod be led to the front. I didn't recognize him, I should...
"Matteo, Matteo! MATTEO" What started as a whisper quickly turned into to shouting. Clarisse was desperately trying to get the kid's attention.
WHACK
"Shut up Bitch" one of the many monster had struck Clarisse on the head with a club. I tried to pull her into my lap. Silena had sat up and was ripping her shirt, she was shaking as she wiped the blood from her head.
"Hey, I got it okay?" I took the ripped cloth from her hand, this was the first time Silena had looked at me since the battle had begun. her cheeks were streamed with tears.
"Matteo, he's a Ares kid" her voice barely made it above a whisper, but suddenly I understood everything. Silena eyes went like the size of saucers, her hands shot up to cover her mouth. I whipped around just as the scythe came down. his head rolled around after it hit the ground.
Matteo was dead.
"That is what happens when one of you, gives up their morals to save their own skin, I'm proud of each one of you for fighting for what you believe in. but I would never let anyone, ever be anything but traitors." Kronos was no longer smiling.
"Now, as much as I want to be stuck here all day talking to you traitor, I have a world to run" Luke handed him a rag and the cleaned his scythe, He paused to smile. he then went on to praising
"But, we can't forget my spies! now can we? without them, I would have not won." his smile radiated. "Well come on, get up here" he motioned towards us. my heart once again stopped, the spy was chained up with us, he was one of us. I looked around, everyone else was doing the same. people were dead silent though. no one wanted to be accused of being the spy, but he we are and It was time for them to own up to it. kronos smile fell, when he realized his prized spy wasn't making a move towards the stage. he cocked his head to the side
" Fine, you want to play that way. the let's play" he fiddled in his pocket, just before he brought a bracelet towards his scepter. but nothing happened..
it was still dead quiet before...
The two screams erupted at the same time; The agony was felt by everyone. Clarisse moved instantly as Silena clutched at her chest. her voice was going hoarse, as she desperately tried to claw at her chest. Clarisse was struggling to hold her hand back from, herself. not far away, Katie was doing the same thing, but for Conner Stoll. Travis was pleading with him to calm down.
That's when it all came clear...
kronos was hurting them until, the spy gave themselves up.
Silena and Conner were the first victims, how many more before the spy finally did give themselves up.
My voice rose before I even knew what to say.
"Just admit it, He's going to keep hurting people until you give yourself up!! are you that selfish to let them die?" And before my very eyes kronos started laughing. that's when a monster grabbed Silena, Clarisse started screaming, I tried to grab Silena, but more Monster's held us back. they dragged Silena to the stage. I noticed I wasn't the only one screaming as Travis was failing to get away from Katie who was holding him back, Ethan had already marched Conner up to the front. They both were dropped right Infront of Luke and Thalia. Luke handed Thalia to Ethan as he got on his knee's an unlocked their chain's. he held out both his hands. they both rose with him. Silena dropped rather suddenly, Clarisse hand's slapped against her mouth. Luke caught her, I was happy he caught her, but the way he held her. something wasn't right!
"someone get a medic, Sil need's help" Luke requested, Kronos moved closer, grabbing her chin. that's when my heart beated like it's never had before. Silena eye's were like dagger's soaring straight into his eye's. he chuckled, as two demigods walked in, one of them carrying a chair. Luke helped Silena sit down, but his hand never left her side. the other started to glow, holding onto Silena. There was a gasp from my right, it was Will Solace. I had hoped Will had gotten away, when the med-bay was attacked the Apollo cabin was one of the first out the door. Kayla and Austin weren't with him though so they must have gotten away. when my eye's glanced back to the stage. THANK THE GODS! Silena was looking better, as well as Luke was no longer near her. he was instead whispering with Conner, who's head was pointed to the ground. Luke's than pulled him into a hug, as Kronos moved away to address us again.
"Poor demi-god, who have not put two and two together yet" his smile brightened as he looked towards Silena and Conner. Silena's face was no longer puffy or sad at all, instead she looked emotionless and Conner didn't look any better. with Luke smiling at him, while patting him on the back.
"Let me introduce you to my two beautiful, strong-willed children who were the most crucial part of this war,.... My spies".
