Summary
In this alternate universe, you are destined to find your soulmate by a red string attached to your finger that you receive at 18. After a series of unfortunate events, the main character isn't interested in finding her soul bond after witnessing what happened to her childhood friend—even going as far as to run away from it, even to a different country. If you spend more than a week without your soul bond after touching you can contract the sickness that if you don't touch each other for an extended period of time you will become very ill and in some cases die. How will she deal with meeting her soul pairing? Will she avoid him at all costs? Will he let her go? Or make her confront her fears of the red string?
(The red string idea isn't originally mine, but I don't remember who I had read the story from and I liked it. Won't be the same but my own ideas around the soulmate pairing idea)
