The Exception

Summary:

You were a part of his following but not in a traditional sense.

You were given free rein to do as you pleased in his temple, able to get away with most things that others would have been killed on the spot for.

Notes:

Hi. This is my first fic that I have ever published, so I apologize if it's not up to standards. This came to me in a dream and I had to write it out. Also English isn't my first language, so it might not be perfect.

uhh, have fun??

Chapter Text

Sukuna sat on his throne, his massive head cradled on one closed fist. While his other arm gently supported your hip, holding you close to his lap.

One of his remaining two hands extended over the edges of the throne, his other laying over you, fingers occasionally caressing your body, tracing subtle patterns into you.

Letting you rant and ramble about whatever grotesque topic you had read on earlier in the day, mock hums and nods punctuating his silent attention, a display of his apparent engagement in your discourse.

You were a part of his harem but not in a traditional sense. He never felt the need to bed you, being pleased with your presence alone. You were given free rein to do as you pleased in his temple, able to get away with most things that others would have been killed on the spot for.

Your voice faded, drawing Sukuna’s attention. His piercing gaze met yours as he opened all four eyes, the weight of his dominance evident in the command that followed.

“Who told you to stop, brat?” he huffed, a mixture of irritation and amusement coloring his voice, reaffirming the peculiar nature of your relationship.

He was bored most days, just sitting on his throne, which led to him seeking entertainment. One of the ways being to line or group up his followers, or whoever was unlucky enough to end up at the temple, and kill them in different ways, torture as well.

After eventually getting bored of that too, he would choose one follower to decide which one of its close ones for him to kill. Or even order it to take another’s life itself.

Most of the people couldn’t bring themselves to harm another, some did it out of fear and wanting to survive. Which was greatly amusing to him, but only to a certain extent.

You were one of those people chosen one day, you hadn’t backed away. You had chosen people seemingly at random, like their lives didn’t matter to you in the slightest. He liked that, you were almost as inhumane as he was.

“Hm?” Your head perked up when you saw he noticed the lack of your voice in the air. It took a moment to let his words sink in, you had been awake since before sunrise and it was taking a toll on you.

“I was just tired I think.” You scratched at your neck. The only sources of light being torches in his throne room, it was already so late into the night.

Bored?” Sukuna echoed, a low rumble escaping his lips. Amusement and mild interest flickered in his eyes, the way he watched you carefully.

An idea formed in his head as his mind whirled. You were not like other humans - in fact you seemed hardly human at all. You were always an appropriate source of entertainment. Sukuna’s other three arms shifted, two sliding off the armrest and into your lap. He lifted you closer, pulling your body flush against him; his gaze bore into you.

“No no.” Today was fun, really fun. You really did enjoy everything that happened today. Even with the exterminations, maybe especially so. Even if you only worked by proxy today.

You looked up after he moved you, right at him. “I really do think I was tired after the day.” You suppress a yawn. “I hadn’t even noticed I stopped talking.”

Sukuna hummed in acknowledgement. He had never seen someone as comfortable with murder, with slaughtering human beings, as you were. You were not afraid, you did not hide, and you did not attempt to run or flee. Even if he had not been toying with the idea before he spoke, he was certainly thinking about it now.

“You must be tired.” He finally agreed, his breath touching your skin as he leaned in closer. One of his arms shifted, wrapping around your waist. “How about you sleep here?”

This was a tad surprising. Yes, he would demand you to sit on his lap, you didn’t really have a problem with that part. But he had never really asked you to sleep on him, and you hadn’t even thought about it until now.

“Can I really?” You’re both facing the same direction. With you on his lap from when you had pulled him in earlier, resting your back on his abdomen and chest. You looked down at the arm that he used to wrap around your waist.

Sukuna’s arms shifted around you. While there had been mild intimacy before, now there was a new dimension added to it. The arm that had been wrapped around your waist moving in an upwards motion, until they both rested comfortably, still firm in a way.

The pressure around your body was tight, but not too much. “Sleep.” Sukuna commanded. “When you wake, I have something else I want to ask you.”

You murmured lightly, acknowledging his words. Your muscles got less tense by the second. You were already drifting to sleep by now.

Sukuna’s arms didn’t move, even as you relaxed. A faint smile tugged at his lips as he noticed the way you grew less tense and more at ease. His fingers shifted, now scratching the side of your hips. He could see your eyelids become heavy, and with one final adjustment, he pulled you closer, tucking your head beneath his chin, in the crook of his neck.

~

It had been hours.

He had held you through the hours of slumber, and as you finally awoke, he released you gently. “Sleep well?” Sukuna asked, his voice soft as he spoke. While he had remained silent all that time, his arms had been carefully holding you. Even while he was at rest, his eyes had remained open, observing you. His body was motionless, his movements having been carried out purely by instinct.

You groaned slowly, rubbing your eyes as you woke up. You grimaced at the light that suddenly assaulted your eyes, blinking a few times before looking up at him.

“I slept well.” A small amused smile on your face. Had he really been awake the entire time?

“I’m glad.” Sukuna replied. The arms that had been wrapped around you had shifted back to their original position, and his hands now rested on the armrest, only one still behind you for you to use. Sukuna’s gaze was piercing, yet oddly inviting. He leaned forward, moving so you sat upon his thigh again. He could always get a better look at you like so.

“You seemed so peaceful. I just didn’t want to disturb you.” He explained.

A divert smirk that you couldn’t contain slowly tugged at your lips, what he had just said just seemed so out of character for a moment. But you didn’t mind. You looked down at his hand.

“So you stayed awake the entire time I slept? Were you watching me?” You had asked, mostly out of genuine curiosity, but you could help the small poke at him that left with your tone of voice.

“Mmhm.” Sukuna answered, his voice a low purr. He moved his hand upward, stroking your cheek, his thumb sweeping across your jawline, his smile widening slightly with curiosity. “Is that a bad thing?” He asked teasingly.

“No.. it isn’t.” Responding to the earlier question you tilted your head, closing your eyes when he touched your face, opening them again when his hand left. His hands were always bigger than yours, or.. anything really. He was almost twice your size as is. You liked that.

A long pause, as the air hung heavy between the two. Sukuna’s hands fell away, one resting on one of his knees, the other one on the armrest behind you. “Do you want to know my question now?”

“Question?” Ah yes, you remember now, he did say he had a question for you when you woke up. You had forgotten completely about it, you were too tired to get it through your head before you passed out. “What is it?”

The corner of his lips tilted upwards into an amused smirk as you closed your eyes at his touch. Of course he himself had noticed so before, boasting about most other times. How his hands were most definitely bigger, his arms larger, his hands thicker, his fingers broader. Sukuna leaned forward once again, his hand returning to your cheeks, his touch more playful than it had been earlier.

“Mm, yes. Question.” Sukuna repeated. “Do you promise not to get mad if I ask you something?”

“Mad? Why would I get mad?” You mumbled, mostly to yourself. His hand reached the top of your head, fingers disheveling your hair. Like he was playing with you.

You knew he was going to ask if you promised or not, he was just asking for entertainment value, most likely. You weren’t one to get mad often, if at all. He knew this. It’s all a game to him, isn’t it? That’s what you thought anyway.

“I won’t get mad.” You muttered, you knew he was sure to hear due to the proximity.

“You promise?” Sukuna repeated mockingly. A teasing, low groan rumbled in his throat, and with a light nudge, he shifted you so your back was resting on his front again. His hands then started to carefully stroke and brush your hair with more intent now. This was amusement for him, but there was an edge to his intent.

The hands stopped, still resting on your scalp. The air held a palpable heaviness to it, the tension in his body barely constrained.

You smiled with please, at how he still had his hand on your head. Really, he had no need to ask. Even if you had gotten mad, broken the promise, he could just kill you, isn’t that right?

You really thought you were nothing but a means of entertainment in his eyes. Yes, you had picked up on the fact that he treated you better than the rest, but what if you were just a longer plaything? You couldn’t get your hopes up, but you were fine with that for now.

“Fine, I promise.”

The corners of his lips twisted into a small smile, the tension that had built up around him fading only slightly. “Good.” Sukuna replied, not missing how your tone had sharpened. The hands on your scalp shifted slightly, a thumb lightly scratching a small circle into your scalp. “And you won’t lie to me, right?”

He could crush you, do you away like trash. But he didn’t. You had always wondered why. You weren’t going to ask though, not now at least. You didn’t care for it at the moment, not minding, even. Cause deep down it exhilarated you to know death was so close, yet so far away in the very same second.

“I won’t.” You tilted your head back to look at him. Honestly, you were just itching to find out what it was. He had you hooked now.

Sukuna smiled softly. The hands on your scalp finally removed themselves, shifting back to their original position where they remained firmly planted. Sukuna’s gaze was intent as he waited for your eyes to drift back to him.

The air between you both was strangely tense, and for the first time in a while, Sukuna seemed to be holding something back. “What if I told you, you had the chance to leave? To escape from my temple? Would you go?”

“Hmm.” You hummed, contemplating how to phrase your words. An inscrutable expression on your face as you moved your head back down in thought.

You could feel his eyes drilling through you. He was waiting intently.

“I wouldn’t.” You broke the sudden silence.

The air of tension immediately cleared as the smile returned to Sukuna’s face. He was not surprised by your response, and yet, he seemed pleased. Sukuna had been prepared for the usual resistance, for the usual refusal; he had even been prepared for the desperate pleas he always heard before.

Instead, here you were. A seemingly calm and confident individual, unafraid of death. Even now, with his question of escape posed, you simply remained calm. The smile did not leave his lips, and his grip on you stayed lax.

“Why?” Sukuna asked, a simple one-word question that carried a wealth of meaning. Though he had been expecting you to refuse, the curiosity in his voice was evident. While on the outside you remained still like a doll, there was movement within you; within your eyes and within your heart. Even he could sense it, the pulse of your heartbeat. That was the true surprise, that you were unaffected and unafraid.

“Why?” It was mostly said like you repeated it to yourself. You shifted a bit, still sitting on his thigh. Your back is still leaning against one of his arms.

“I have nowhere else to go.” It was simple to you. You never were a normal person in society anyway, he didn’t know that though. But he didn’t need to, to know how you acted differently from the other humans he’d seen.

“Here I have shelter, food, entertainment.” Entertainment you could get away with, the ones that he also enjoys alongside you. Such a niche interest for you both to share, no?

Sukuna hummed, his smile shifting to a soft, yet knowing grin. With your words, the tension seemed to completely subside; it was an odd feeling, as if his entire mind was cleared. But the thought of you being gone - of you leaving - gave rise once again to the unease. He did not like thoughts of you escaping from his grasp.

Sukuna moved his hands so that they were resting on either side of you. “Yes, there is that.” He nodded. “But it is also a cage is it not?”

“A cage? How so?” You uttered, genuine curiosity seeping into your tone.

This.” Sukuna replied, gesturing to the space around him, his finger lazily swinging across the walls. “This is a cage. Your existence is confined here, and yet you seem to welcome your confinement. Most people, most humans, would fight against it. Yet you seem content, and that surprises me.”

Everyone else is basically reduced to a slave here, forced to do his bidding for him. To harm, even kill each other for his entertainment in this temple.

“I never minded staying inside.” Simple, really.

You were the only one that was allowed to get this close to him, be in his presence like so. To be able to do such things that would get others punished or killed on the spot, filled you with whirling emotions you never knew you needed, or have felt before him.

For a moment, the air between the two of you grew thick. The silence was deafening. And if not for you speaking, it would have continued until one of you broke it. You were the only one who had not minded the confinement of this temple. You were the only one allowed to get close to Sukuna. Touch him. You're his favorite.

The tension had built up again, and when your voice filled the space, it was a calming balm. “Can I ask you something?”

The question had almost made you laugh, it took so much self restraint to not do that. Your lips pressed into a thin line, nodding in response.

The way his body reacted to you had always caught Sukuna off guard. Even now, as he watched your expression, his gaze flickering about your face, every fiber of his body felt tense. When you nodded, his eyes immediately shifted to your mouth.

The silence grew with each passing moment. And when his voice finally broke the silence, his tone was quiet and calm yet oddly vulnerable. “Can I ask you a personal question?”

That small waver in his usual strong demeanor came as a surprise to you, albeit he was still keeping his composure. “Yes?”

Sukuna smiled, once again using the tip of his finger to draw a circle on your cheek. His face was close to yours, yet he kept enough distance that a boundary was clearly drawn. When he finally spoke, his voice was lower.

“Do you find me to be frightening, or terrifying?”

You weren’t expecting that question, you had wondered why he asked. Is he still convinced you find him scary? After all this time spent together?

“Scary? By god, you’re divine.” You spoke in a low voice. You had always found him to be the perfect being, the embodiment of evil. Such extraordinary features. Although you had never truly voiced your thoughts.

The words left your lips before you even had much thought. Despite your usual calm demeanor, something in your tone had shifted, becoming slightly softer. The words that you had uttered had also surprised Sukuna, your tone carrying admiration.

The breath he had taken then was long and slow, his smile shifting to a grin. You found him divine, and you found his features to be perfect. A feeling of satisfaction flooded his mind. Sukuna hummed softly, enjoying the praise.

He was always used to being the feared one. He had never once been worshiped in a way that wasn’t for his strength and power. Even the few humans that came by his temple willingly to serve under him, would cower and try to keep their composure in his presence.

But not you. And sometimes he found his mind wondering, why you don’t run, or flee. He couldn’t completely grasp the concept of a mere human not fearing him in the slightest, it intrigued him to no end. “Really now?” He spoke back.

“But of course I do.” You moved your head to the side a bit when he touched your cheek again. That was never a favorite of yours that he would do, it always obscured your perfect view of him. You wanted your eyes on him for as long as possible.

Sukuna’s thumb swiped over the skin of your cheek, still drawing circles with the tip of his finger. He took note of how you closed your eyes when he touches your cheek, still with that damned smirk on his face.

There was a pause, before he spoke again in a low tone.

“Divine, you say. Can I ask why?”

You hummed quietly for a moment, moving from leaning on one of his arms, sitting up straighter. You raised your hand up, to trace his jaw with your fingers, your gaze lingering on the black marks that adored his face.

“Look at you. Your complexion, your marks, your eyes.” You didn’t mind his features, not at all, quite the opposite actually. You found what people found terrifying a being to be worshiped. Albeit, you aren’t the most normal, or sane person either.

Sukuna’s breath hitched as your fingers traced his jaw, and he remained motionless as you ran your fingers over the shape and markings on his skin. When you had mentioned his eyes, his pupils briefly dilated.

“My markings.. my eyes..?” Sukuna repeated slowly, his voice still low and quiet. Your touch was gentle yet strong, tracing the shape and lines over his face.

It’s almost like he didn’t believe you. By all the vile things he’s been called by humans he had slaughtered. He’s never heard someone describe him in such a way. Sukuna started wondering what else you had seen about him.

“By all means, I could stare at you for hours and yet not feel the faintest of boredom.” You spoke in almost a whisper, your eyes still intently on his face. He wasn’t sure if you had meant to even say that out loud, or even if you cared that you did so.

Sukuna let in a long breath of air, his heart racing slightly in his chest. The way you spoke, the words you said, the way you stared at him… It was all so sincere. He did not understand it, he could not wrap his mind around it, but he could feel.

A light chuckle escaped him, more amused by how much he liked the attention, how much he liked how you looked at him. “And here i thought you feared me.”

“Fear? No, I could never.” You looked at his eyes, yours bouncing between all four before landing on just one, he looked as flawless as ever. You had never really expressed how you viewed him before so outwardly, so he never knew.

“You are the personification of evil, ungodly. Which makes you so divine, so perfect.” Your voice was barely a whisper, head tilting just slightly.

It felt as if there was a heat burning in Sukuna’s body, starting from his heart and spreading through his body. He had never been so close to someone before, he had never allowed someone to touch him so intimately, and he had never been looked at the way you looked at him.

His breath almost sounded inconsistent and uneven, his mouth open slightly as if to allow more air into his lungs. “Divine..” His voice was so small, you didn’t even catch it. “You are quite good with your words.”

The words you spoke, the way you spoke.. It was like venom. Like poison that floods the heart. Each word sent a chill down his spine. And the way you had stared at him with such reverence, he found himself unable to look away. His head spun, lost in the way you looked at him.

“Am I? When I only speak the truth?” You brought your hands back down to yourself. Still staring at him, eyes going from one feature to another. One of his arms was still around your back, fingers brushing against your hips.

Your words were intoxicating, seeping into his mind like sweet honey. And in that moment, they felt like more than just words.

Sukuna swallowed hard, his breath coming out in a low hiss. The arm around your back tightened slightly, the other still propping you up. “Your words are like fire.” He replied, his voice low. “And I burn for them.”

Everything went through his mind, everything he didn’t notice he had taken a liking to before. How you weren’t afraid, how he craved it, craved you. You would kill for him if he asked, it’s been done before. He liked that, a lot. You definitely weren’t a typical human, that’s why he kept you around. But now he knows what you think of him.

“You would burn for my words?” You asked, a hint of confusion in your voice. You were sure he didn’t mean it literally, but you couldn’t stop the question from escaping your lips. Such an intriguing entity he is.

Sukuna’s head was a tangle of thoughts, his body burning from within as he held you, the scent of your hair filling his nose.

Your question caused his smile to widen with amusement. “Yes.” He responded, his voice low yet certain. “I would burn for your words, for your touch, for you. You have no idea the power you hold over me, do you?”

“What power?” You questioned. You had only the impression that he was using you as entertainment. Just something to pass the time, before he inevitably disposed of you. You had no care for that though, only being in his presence was good enough for now.

You seemed confused, almost bewildered as you asked your question. Yet.. your question made sense. You did not know how he longed for your touch, how he desired to hear your words, how he craved your presence. You really did not know how much power you held over him. The grip he had on you tightened once again, his eyes piercing into your gaze as he responded. “You have more power over me than you think.” He said softly.

A soft chuckle escaped Sukuna’s mouth. He lifted his hand from his armrest to cup your face gently, his thumbs brushing over your cheek. “I let no one touch me the way you do. Only you, and you alone, touch me in such a way.”

His voice grew louder, darker, as a possessive gleam filled his eyes.

You didn’t pull away or stop him when he grabbed your face. He’s done so many times before, his touch was still firm, but nowhere near as hard as it used to be all those months ago.

“How so?” You always knew he was possessive over his things. Maybe it was the same for the humans he kept under the temple.

Sukuna’s expression had already darkened slightly as he looked at you, his grip on your face tightening ever so slightly. “You could walk into a room, and I would feel it. You could speak a word, a single word I’d hear from across the temple. You have power over me through the way you move, how you speak, and the way you look at me. You have power over me in ways you do not understand.”

Sukuna’s expression growing more serious and possessive. The hand that cupped your face moved lower to your neck, his fingers gently tracing over the soft skin of your throat.

“You have no idea of the things I’d do for you.”

Your breath went shallow when he moved his hands, tracing your throat. He could kill you, begone with you, shove his nails in your neck, disregard you like any other human he had killed before. You could only keep your eyes on him. The nerves excited you, in a way.

“The things you’d do for me..” It was a whisper, you were thinking about what that meant. How deep his words actually traveled. Who knew you held such power over a cursed being? The other human in the temple probably. You wondered, would he kill for you, like you had for him?

Sukuna’s gaze lingered intently as he looked down at you, his fingers still tracing your neck, his thumb gently circling over your pulse. Your tone of voice made him feel as though you were lost in his words.

He would do anything for you and more. Kill, torture, destroy. He’d bathe the entire world in blood if you asked him to.

“I would burn down the entire world for you, if that’s what you desire.” He whispered, his voice low and intense.

You’d let the world burn huh.. You thought, glee spreading across your face, like in wonder. It had finally started to click in your mind, what he really thought of you.

“So that’s why you kept me around. I wonder what else troubles your mind, what else you think of.” You kept your gaze intently on him. You felt such a wave of satisfaction and pleasure go over your body when the realization finally set in. You were special, to him. You’re the exception.

Sukuna nodded, a slow, dark smile spreading over his lips. He leaned in closer, his face only inches away from yours. The world was nothing to him, it only existed to satisfy his desires. And the only one he had at the moment was you.

He breathed, his voice low and intense. “The thought had haunted my mind since the first time i saw you. You intrigue me, you do.” He was no fool, he knew that you were just a human, a weak and vulnerable being.

But still, he felt a strange connection to you. A connection he had never felt with anyone else before.

“How?” You were just human, what could he possibly see in you?

“How do I intrigue you?”

Sukuna’s eyes dimmed further, his gaze now filled with a mixture of desire and admiration. “You are unlike anyone I have ever met. Your spirit, your strength, your resilience. You do not cower before me like others do. Rather, you face me head on, without fear, without hesitation. It is tantalizing, your very being, your soul.”

His voice was low, almost breathy, as if he were whispering a secret. He was obsessed with you, you fascinated him, bewildered him.

“Why should I ever cower in front of a deific being?” You didn’t even have to speak loudly, you both were close enough to feel each other’s voices. You continued,

“I do not remember for how I got here, but I’m glad I did. For i will never leave your side for as long as I respire now.” How could you? You had nowhere else to go. And he treats you with such kindness compared to any human you’ve met.

He had never heard anyone speak so truthfully, so lovingly, so admiringly towards him before. You did not fear him, instead, you embraced him. It sent shivers down his spine and a strange warmth to his chest.

“Deific being..” He whispered. Your words had struck him deeply, and in that moment, he felt more than just admiration for you. He worshiped you, and he would do anything to keep you close.

It had made his mind race, his blood whirl. You fell back to lean against his arm again, using the bit of distance to keep your eyes on him. Like you were taking in every detail of him, as to remember every line from memory.

Sukuna liked you, no, he adored you. Too much so to be considered a normal amount. He already established he would do anything for you.

So his mind wandered. He knew you were devoted to him, nearly as much as he decided he is to you. He knew what was in it for you, but he didn’t know why. He knew you had nowhere else to go, but he didn’t know why you had started your devotion in the first place.

Sukuna’s eyes had a certain glint to them, a smile spreading over his face as he looked down at you.. His heart was racing, your words igniting a strange fire within him.

you were so dedicated to him, and he had never experienced such a feeling before. He had never felt so truly desired, so longed for…

“Tell me.” He began, still staring down at you, his eyes gleaming. “Why are you so devoted to me?” He didn’t know the answer, and it was driving him mad not knowing.

You were going to answer him just as you did before. You didn’t, you had a feeling that’s not what he meant. You had a feeling he was asking why you had even started taking a liking to him like no other human ever had.

“You treat me differently.” You really tried to rack your brain on how to phrase your words, you weren’t used to expressing them so much in such little time.

“Treat you differently?” Sukuna’s question was laced with a mixture on confusion and disbelief. Did you not realize how no other human could dare touch him, let alone look at him, as you did? Did you not know how strange it was for him to allow you so close to him, and speak to him as you had?

“How so?” He pressed, his expression filled with curiosity. He knew that there was more to your answer than you made it sound. He wanted to know.
He needed to know.

You let a small laugh escape your lips.

“You are the first being to treat me with such gentleness. And you’re a cursed being no less.” All the other people you knew before him, never treated you normally. Then again, you never were a common human. Or that’s what you’ve been told.

“You’ve been patient. You’ve treated me better than any human come before you.” Right. Now that Sukuna thought about it, a human that kills it’s own kind mercilessly, wouldn’t be subjected to the best treatment. He himself liked that about you, but it wouldn’t be seen well at all by others.

Sukuna’s expression softened at your words, a subtle smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. He had never thought of himself as gentle before, but hearing you describe him as such made him feel something new, something he had not experienced for a long, long time.

He let out a chuckle, a low, breathy sound that seemed to echo within his chest. “Gentle, you call me? Ah, little one.. the things I’ve done,” He paused, his voice laced with a hint of amusement.

“Yes, the thing you’ve done.” Longing binding with your voice. “The things I’ve seen you do.”

The way you would sit close to him, while everyone else begs at his feet for their lives. The way he turns to you to make you choose if he should spare them or not. The way he’s the pure incarnation of immoral, but he still chooses you to be by his side.

“That’s what makes you such an exquisite being.” The way you also find entertainment in the very things he does. You like that. You like him.

A low, appreciative chuckle ripped through Sukuna’s chest. You called him a ‘deific being’ and now an ‘exquisite being’. Each time you spoke, you fed the fire that raged within him, fueled by your words of devotion and your acceptance of his monstrousness.

His clawed hand gently brushed against the crook of you neck, reaching up to trace the line of your jaw with his thumb. He let out a low hiss before speaking, his voice low and husky. “You are too kind to me, little one.”

It was strange, how you could enjoy those things. Wasn’t the human mind wired to hurl at the sight of bloodshed, the screams of the innocents. Frankly, he didn’t care.

He liked that you had accepted him completely, that you didn’t see his monstrousness as a flaw, but rather something to be praised. He adored how alike you both thought, even if you weren’t the same species.

“As are you.” You spoke quietly, leaning into his touch as he brought his hand closer to your face. You closed your eyes subconsciously, opening them when you realized it. You didn’t want to miss a second of being able to look at his complexion.

He couldn’t help but chuckle at your words, a guttural sound that rumbled through his chest. He pulled you closer, his arms wrapping around you protectively as if he were afraid you’d slip away from him.

“You speak as if I have not killed thousands.” He whispered, his breath lightly touching against your ear.

“As if you have not witnessed me bathe in the blood of men and women, children and elders alike. Do not praise a killer, no matter how gentle he may be with you.”

“And you speak as if I care.” You felt him hold you closer, almost like an embrace around your body. His arms covering most of your midsection.

“Have I not done the same for you? Maybe not to your degree, but still.” That last part was said a bit quieter by yourself, looking down at his arms and resting your own on top of his.

“Have I not killed for you?”

His eyes widened slightly at your words, a smile of realization spreading slowly over his face. You had killed for him, and not just in small numbers.

You had shed blood for him, taken lives for him. You had let blood stain your skin, and all for him.

“You have, haven’t you.” He whispered, his voice filled with admiration and an almost wicked glee. He held you closer, his arms tightening around your midsection as if to keep you close to him.

He had never thought about it like that before, but it was true.

You had killed for him, and you had enjoyed every minute of it. It was like a dark, twisted bond between the two of you that no one else could understand.

He felt a mixture of awe and desire. He still held you, his arms like a vise.
“You… please me.”

He made the humans under his temple kill each other for his entertainment, many times. But you were the first to do so willingly, to help him. Even if it was by proxy, for you to choose which one to get rid of, you would help, and point. No questions asked.

He had just realized he hadn’t thought of it as you killing for him until now.

“I’m glad. For I want nothing more than so right now.” You didn’t mind his hold on you. You were just glad to be here with him in this moment.

Sukuna leaned down, his breath flowing over your ears as he whispered, teasingly, “My little killer.” His voice was tinged with an admiring hum, almost as if he was sharing a dark secret with you.

“You truly intrigue me. You’re a killer, like me. A human who enjoys the same things I do. It’s almost…” He paused.

You wanted to know. “Almost..?” He’s got you hooked now. You so desperately wanted to know.

Sukuna’s nose hovered near the back of your head, closer to your nape, he whispered. “It’s almost as if we were made for each other. You intrigue me, you really do. You make me wish to burn the world to ashes, just to see your wicked smile as you stand amidst the flames with me. I want to watch empires crumble and cities fall at my feet, just to have you stand beside me.”

A small amused - almost wicked - smile crept onto your lips before you spoke.

“I would love nothing more-” You were cut off.

The sound of footsteps coming into the room, you snapped your head down. You looked down from the high throne you both sat upon.

It seemed to be a human that was kept in the temple. It looked like it had just ran a marathon, tears running down it’s face.

It started yelling something about ‘killing all his friends and family, blah blah blah’. You could honestly give less of a crap about it. You looked down and saw a knife in it’s hand, in a more than wobbly and loose grip.

“What does it think it’s going to do with that?” You muttered, irritation lining your words.

Sukuna’s expression darkened as he looked down at the human before him. It had the gal to storm into his domain, crying and yelling like a madman. And there it stood, holding a measly little knife and making threats.

Sukuna’s lips pulled back in a snarl as he bared his teeth, his demeanor shifting from a relaxed stance to a predatory one. His eyes glinted with anger, and his voice lowered to a dangerous volume.

“How dare you come into my presence without permission. You dare to bring a weapon into my territory and make empty threats?”

Sukuna had taken both of his other arms off of you, planting them onto his armrests. Only one of his lower arms had stayed around your back.

His relaxed demeanor turning completely menacing, he was beyond irritated that a measly mortal interrupted their precious moment.

You had also sat up straighter on top of his thigh, looking down at it with a scorn on your face. You pointed down at it.

“This one should be exterminated for what it’s done.” The human trembles more than it had done before, still trying to hold up the knife, like it would help in the slightest.

It looked at you like you had just cursed him, like you had casted death on him with just a sentence. You saw it’s mouth quivering, it opened it’s mouth to try and beg to you, maybe weep. But nothing could possibly come out but pathetic whimpers.

An inhuman roar tore from Sukuna’s chest, echoing through the temple as he lunged off the throne, his speed almost too fast for a simple human’s eyes to keep up with.

In a mere second, he stood before the human, towering over it with a murderous aura. His eyes raged with feral, primal anger as he looked down at the trembling man.

“You think you can come into my domain and make threats, insect,” He growled, his voice dripped thickly with cold venom. “You think you have the right to decide who lives or dies here?”

You had gone from sitting on his thigh, to the middle of his throne itself in what seemed to be a fraction of a second. Had he placed you down as he got up?

How considerate.

You looked down from where you sat, watching him as he towered over the human.

You watched as he raised one of his arms up, grabbing the human by the face. It’s eyes quivering as he looked at you through his fingers. You only stared back, an impassive look on your face.

His last sight, would be you. And that small smile that had started widening on your face. As your irritation subsided.

He didn’t have time to beg, to ask for forgiveness. It didn’t even have time to react before it became but splatters of blood on the floor. You heard the wet liquid of his guts and blood hit the floor.

Sukuna stood over the man’s remains, his chest rising and falling rapidly as his anger slowly began to subside. He turned to face you again.

He slowly turned his gaze back to the throne where you sat. His eyes softened as he looked at you, a hint of a smile on his lips.

“You have a wicked smile, little one,” He said in a deep voice, his eyes fixed on you.

“It would be a shame to let such a beautiful smile go to waste. Perhaps we can find more humans to add to the count together, hmm?”
