Work Text:

Marvin sat nervously on the edge of their bed, watching Whizzer meticulously fold his clothes. They had been together for over a year now after Jason invited Whizzer to his baseball game and they were doing things right this time. It wasn’t perfect but they kept navigating through ups and downs, normally Marvin wouldn’t feel so nervous around Whizzer but this moment felt different. Tonight, Marvin had decided he couldn't wait any longer. He needed Whizzer to know.

"Whizzer," Marvin began tentatively, causing Whizzer to look up with a raised eyebrow. "I need to tell you something."

Whizzer paused, setting down the shirt he was folding and giving Marvin his full attention. "What is it, Marv?"

Taking a deep breath, Marvin searched for the right words. "I love you."

For a moment, the room felt still. Whizzer's eyes softened, and a small smile tugged at the corners of his lips. He crossed the room in a few long strides, coming to stand in front of Marvin. Without a word, he pulled Marvin into a tight embrace, holding him close.

"I love you too, you big idiot," Whizzer murmured against Marvin's shoulder, his voice thick with emotion.

Marvin chuckled softly, relief washing over him as he returned the embrace. They stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, basking in the warmth of their newfound declaration. It was a simple moment, yet it held the weight of everything they had been through together.

"I've been wanting to say that for so long," Marvin confessed quietly.

"Me too," Whizzer admitted, pressing a kiss to Marvin's temple. "But I'm glad we waited for the right moment."

They stayed like that for a while longer, reveling in the comfort of each other's presence and the knowledge that their love was finally out in the open. In that quiet room, filled with love and understanding, Marvin and Whizzer found a new depth to their relationship—one that was built on honesty, vulnerability, and a love that had only grown stronger with time.
