Chapter Text
It was a rather solemn day at Night Raven College. The atmosphere was damp and depressing, not really befitting of a institute full of pride.
Yuu, the beast tamer, the Ramshackle Prefect, the unpaid therapist of NRC...was finally getting to go home.
They were the only one to be really happy about it though. The friends they made at NRC however, weren't as excited about it, but they were happy for their beloved prefect nonetheless.
"Are you ready?" Crowley asked the non magic human who nodded...albeit a bit unsuredly. They seemed to have realised that they may never see their friends and little guy ever again.
They looked at the mentioned group, the only ones present as they were the ones who could somewhat stomach their departure....well at least that's what they were told.
Grim was sniffing into Deuce's shoulder, carried in a comforting manner by the spade soldier. Ace and Deuce were looking at Yuu with smiles that didn't quite reach their glassy eyes. They did say their goodbyes last night, the four having their final sleepover at Ramshackle and spending as many waking hours together as possible.
Crawley who was watching this whole exchange, frowned slightly before sighing. "Students....I'm sure you'll be happy to know that...the mirror's connection to Yuu’s world will still remain after their departure, they're not going away forever."
"Actually?!" The teens and fire cat yelled out, hope setting in.
Crowley nodded, relieved that the initial sadness had faded away as the students looked at each other with glee.
"Yuu can come and go as they please, through their own mirror, a full length one preferably."
Yuu then grabbed Ace by the shoulder and shook him with delight as Grim and Deuce rejoiced.
"Looks like you're never getting rid of us, Prefect!" Ace snickered as he got put of Yuu's hold.
"I wouldn't have it any other way." Yuu said as they took Grim in their arms and cooed at the sniffing cat.
"Wah, Henchman! You gave me such a fright! You're my other half, remember that!" Grim tried acting tough but the teens knew better.
Grim jumped to the floor, continuing with his speech as he neared the spade soldier, the soft eyes of his humans focused on him.
Crowley felt himself smile, the Prefect truly was brought here for a good reason, they changed so many lives for the better.
His gaze returned to the Great Mirror, when he noticed something weird. There was some black fog in the glass, no face to be seen.
He was about to tell his students when hands made of the black fog he noticed earlier shot out of the mirror. He squwacked in suprise and that sound caught the attention of the kids.
The next thing Ace knew, dark and dreary hands caught a hold of his shoulders and dragged him forward. The Prefect who was standing in front of him widened their eyes for a split second before the ginger crashed into him, the hands pulling them both into the mirror. Deuce grabbed onto Ace and tried pulling him back with Ace holding onto the Prefect. Grim tried to shoot fire at the hands but it did nothing. Ace slipped out of Deuce's grip and the captured students let out a yell.
Crowley tried grabbing onto Yuu as they passed by him but to no avail. The mirror swallowed the two students with no trace of them left behind.
Crowley stared at the mirror, Grim felt his eyes tear up again and Deuce sank to his knees. A desperate cry tore from his throat.
"ACE! YUU! NOOO!"
Ace let out a groan, what the fuck just happened? He sat up the best he could, Yuu was lying on his chest, bleary eyed as they tried figuring out where the two were.
"Well that just happened..." Ace sighed, rubbing his head. Yuu suddenly lit up. "I know where we are! We're in my house! Well, room to be precise."
Ace was shocked. "For real? Like, this is your world?!"
"Yes! I'm so glad it's not a strange world!" Yuu collapsed back onto the plush carpet the two were lying on.
"I just noticed how soft this thing is." Ace patted the carpet. He then took a look around the room. "...Yuu, are you sure this is your house? This room looks like it costs more than my entire dormitory."
Yuu looked a bit sheepish. "I...am not bragging here but, uh....my family is sorta...a rich one?"
"You've got to be shitting me." Ace couldn't fathom the idea as back in Twisted Wonderland, Yuu was a budgeting and bargaining champion and would get every last thaumark's worth squeezed out with nothing left to dry.
"Just cause I'm rich doesn't mean I can't haggle." Yuu seemed to realise what he was thinking.
"So...full name?"
"Yuu Airashi." Yuu stood up. "Also I live in this apartment by myself. My parents stay in the main estate somewhere else."
"Damn rich people." Ace muttered under his breath, Yuu caught that however.
They opened the door to the hallway, leading Ace around the luxury apartment.
"My childhood friend used to say that sometimes. They were so exasperated with wealthy folk and their world views." Yuu chuckled.
"So much of weirdos? Got it. Thank fuck that rich people are more normal back home...wait...on second thought, no they're not." Ace replied.
They entered the living room before they were startled by a scream.
Yuu and Ace held onto each other before the non magic human paused. "....Haruhi...?"
Haruhi, the one who screamed in suprise, held their hand to their rampant chest. They took in a deep breath before nodding. "Yuu..." They then paused. "Wait...YUU?!"
Yuu let go of Ace and as they were about to answer, Haruhi grabbed them and began shaking them, interrogating all the while. "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? YOU'RE LUCKY I DIDN’T CALL YOUR PARENTS SO THEY DON'T KNOW YOU WERE MISSING FOR A WHOLE FUCKING YEAR! LIKE WHAT THE FUCK-"
"Haruhi....I'm sorry! " Yuu croaked out, feeling a bit dizzy. "And relax! I was fine!....just in a different world is all."
Haruhi looked at them like they were stupid.
Ace sighed before taking out his magic pen and in honor of his favourite dorm mate, summoned a cauldron out of thin air. "I summon thee: Cauldron!"
The last thing Haruhi expected was to see a big cauldron drop from the ceiling. They looked at Ace, then Yuu, then Ace again. They then noticed Ace's unusual eye color.
"Surprise....?" Yuu weakly said.
"Fine...I'll believe your madness..." Haruhi huffed. This was too much for them honestly. All they came here for was to do a little cleaning and hopefully find clues as to where their friend went but they were met with this.
Ace sighed before extending his hand. "Ace Trappola, from the mentioned another world."
Haruhi looked at his hand with hesitance and a bit of surprise before shaking it. "Fujioka Haruhi."
"Last name first?" Ace asked Yuu who nodded. "That's how it is in Japan. So don't be surprised when people call me Airashi."
"Damn Yuu..."Haruhi said before sinking back into the couch.
"Haru, what's with the short hair?" Yuu pretended they didn't hear their friend's previous grievance and asked.
"Some kids in my neighbourhood got gum stuck to it. It was tiring to try take it out so I simply cut it."
"I see...got into Ouran?"
"You know it. Your rich ass also got in anyway, you're in my class and all...as is...Trappola."
"I'M SORRY WHAT?" Ace sputtered. Was his arrival foreshadowed?!
"That's why I was a bit shocked when you told me your name..."
"Hah! You can't escape school either, you sleezy bastard!" Yuu snickered. Haruhi tried containing a laugh at Yuu's crude language.
"Oh fuck you too!"
"Never mind...fuck me!" Ace blanched at the sight of the school. It was pink and it didn't even look good! It was atrocious and a disgrace to the good name of the colour.
Yuu was very generous and got Ace a uniform, Haruhi declined their offer. The two weren't starting yet, they were gonna do so tomorrow, so they were wearing casual clothing. Yuu was once again in sugar parent mode and bought Ace a new wardrobe.
"Is it a bad time to tell the two of you that I incurred a massive debt to the host club of this place and was for a while their called dog before they decided to make me a host?" Haruhi casually dropped a bomb as Yuu looked at them in disbelief and Ace choked on fucking air.
"WELL FUCK ME IN THE ASS WITH A CHAINSAW!" Ace dramatically dropped to the ground.
"They said music room no 3, right?" Ace asked. Yuu nodded in response.
The two got a tour during class time so they didn't come across any students.
School was over and club activities would have begun about now.
The duo stood before the large doors. Yuu breathed in and out before pushing open the doors.
Rose petals flew from everywhere and one even got caught in Ace's throat. As he let out an undignified cough, Yuu pat his back.
"Oh my, my. This time we've got male students~" a blond with purple eyes smiled.
"I'm sorry?" Yuu asked as they helped Ace stand up.
"Oh don't worry darlings, we don't judge."
The Hitachiin twins circled the two before latching themselves onto Ace. "He looks like our triplet, right Kaoru?"
"You're spot on Hikaru, I wonder if he has the same personality."
"And you are?" Ace tried shaking them off but to no avail.
"The Mischievous Devil Type, of course!" Hikaru declared as Yuu snorted "Ace definitely has the same personality as you both then."
Kyouka simply wrote down in his (death note) book. Honey was excited as seeing the new arrivals and Mori observed silently.
The twins kept harrasing Ace and Tamaki tried his best to flirt with Yuu, much to the two's annoyance.
"Okay, that's enough." Ace yanked his arms back and stood beside Yuu. "Let's just find-"
"Ah! Yuu, Ace! You're here." Haruhi finally arrived to their rescue. They pulled the two away from the rest of the hosts.
"Haruhi! Don't tell me these are your boyfriends! Daddy doesn't approve!" Tamaki wailed.
"Uh oh, looks like Haruhi was keeping a little secret from us!" The twins said in unison.
"They're not my boyfriends...Yuu is my childhood friend and Ace is their friend." Haruhi paused. "Wait, why am I even explaining myself?"
"Cause Daddy will keep on whining." Hikaru snickered.
"An Airashi, huh...?" Kyouka muttered.
Yuu sighed. "Jeez, so dramatic and far what?"
Ace was unusually silent before a light bulb went off.
Haruhi looked at Tamaki and then sighed before opening their mouth.
"Pompous Bastard!" "Obnoxious."
Three arrows struck Tamaki's heart before he began growing mushrooms in the corner of the room.
Ace blinked. "Jeez, why did we even come here....?"
'I miss Night Raven already....'
