Work Text:

Asahi looked in the closet, trying to find something to put on without any luck. Maybe it was his fault for going to the gym so much, but he was a very anxious guy, and the gym helped quite a lot. Not now, though, because none of the outfits he had planned fit him anymore, his back was to wide and his arm has gotten bigger than ever, he was very close to cry.

Today he was going to visit Noya at his university, and not only that, he was going to have dinner with two of Noya's friends. He didn't want to disappoint his boyfriend or, worse, embarrass him because he had nothing to wear. Thankfully, after some searching, he found a beige shirt that fit him nicely with black pants, study fashion has to be useful.

Now it was time to go, surprisingly he was on time for the train he had planned the day before. He was sure he was going to make a good impression (he wasn't, but he hoped so).

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

"You're going to meet him tonight, chill," Noya said to his friends. "You're going to love him. Taro already met him, and it was fine."

"Can you blame us? Everything with you is: 'Asahi loves this,' 'my cute boyfriend loves that song,' 'he's a cutie, guys,'" Emiko said, trying to emulate her friend.

Noya blushed at the poor imitation of himself. Maybe he was quite like that, but Asahi had to have all the blame. It should be illegal to have that face. Aiko and Emiko would understand once they met him.

"He's coming just for the dinner?" Aiko asked.

"No, he's actually going to be here 'round 12 when I finish my last class, and we're going on a date." Noya smiled thinking about it. It had been almost three weeks since he had seen his ace.

"I can't wait to meet him, Noya. We haven't even seen a photo. That's lame," Emiko said, her green eyes judging him.

That was actually true. Noya didn't really like taking photos; he preferred living in the moment. Asahi, on the other hand, had albums of just Noya in different places, on different dates, or even at his house wearing the bigger boy's T-shirt.

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Asahi was on the train, overthinking as always. On one hand, meeting Taro (Noya's roommate) had been nice. On the other hand, now there were two more people he had to meet expectations with. He knew Taro had been surprised when they first met. People often thought he was much older than Noya, making for some awkward moments, some old lady thought that he was his father.

In addition, he had to find Noya's class. All the libero had said was:

"In the big building, second floor, number 43."

He only hoped he wouldn't have to ask for directions, but it seemed fate was against him.

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Aiko and Emiko were on campus, heading to the café after a long, two-hour class with an asshole as a teacher when they saw a man who looked as lost as a kid without his mother. They approached him; maybe he needed directions.

The man in front of them was huge—very tall, with arms as big as Aiko's head, long brown hair, and a beard. His face was quite intimidating, but as soon as he noticed them, he smiled.

"Hi, we saw you and you seem quite lost. Do you need directions?" Aiko asked.

The boy blushed and put his hand on his neck. "Actually, yes, I do. Do you know where room 43 is?"

"Yes, at the end of this corridor, you turn to the left, and it's the last door on your right," Aiko explained.

"Okay, thank you so much," he said.

The man waved at them and left.

"Girl, that has to be the definition of 'man,'" Emiko said, looking at her friend.

"He was kind of intimidating, but he's probably just an older brother of one of Noya's classmates," Aiko reasoned.

"Talking about Noya, do you have any idea what Asahi looks like?" Emiko asked.

"We have the same information, dummy. He's cute and studies fashion," Aiko replied. "That's not a lot of information," she thought. "But we have to be patient."

:::::::::::::::::::::

Asahi was finally in front of Noya's class, and only ten minutes later, the small libero was jumping on his boyfriend, wrapping his legs around Asahi's waist.

"I missed you so much," Noya said.

"Me too, Yu," Asahi replied, giving him a peck before putting him down and starting to walk toward the exit.

"We can go to my house. Tora is with his parents, so we can do anything we want," Noya said, his eyes sparkling.

"Let's go then." Be just the to of them for hours seem to be the perfect date.

Eight hours, a movie, and a few talks later, it was time for the girls to arrive so they could go together to the ramen restaurant. Asahi was playing with his fingers when the doorbell rang. Noya ran to the door and opened it to let Aiko and Emiko in. They entered smiling, but as soon as they saw Asahi, their faces were absolutely shocked.

The big man they had helped hours ago was the same "cute" boyfriend of their friend. This can't be—does Nishinoya know the definition of cute? the girls thought.

"Hi, I'm Azumane Asahi, Nishinoya's boyfriend. Thank you for helping me earlier," Asahi said, smiling timidly.

Okay, maybe he is kinda cute.

I hope you enjoy it, I did this instead of study for my finals.

Litle secret, I asked Chat GPT to check my grammar.
