Rosie takes a good look at him as he sighs again, looking genuinely worried. “What’s the problem? Have you been fighting?” “What?” He comes back from his thoughts, noticing everyone looking at his sulking and blushing a bit for causing such a scene. “No, no, not at all. It’s just… I don’t have a gift, and we don’t exactly have any extra money right now. I was thinking of doing something nice at the pottery class but it completely slipped my mind and now I don’t know if I have the time. I’m working the closing shift at the café again, and promised to open the bookstore tomorrow morning for Marge.”
