Chapter 1
In his veins
The first thing Kevin felt was the power in his veins. He hadn’t felt that much power since the last time he tried to absorb the omnitrix. The power gave him a high that was unexplainable but now with the new aliens that Ben had access to, he felt more powerful. In fact, there was a sudden hunger for more and thirst.
Hunger, more power.
Kevin turned his body towards Aggregor lifting the osmosian into the air.
“Let’s see who's weak when I take your powers too.”
Quickly absorbing the fellow osmosian’s power, Kevin heard. . .
“That’s enough, Kevin!” yelled Ben.
Ben and Gwen ran across the hands of the female Alien X, running to meet their friend. Kevin watched as they came closer, along with them the younger Ben watched.
“When I finish him, then it will be enough.”
“That’s not you talking, absorbing energy makes osmosis lose control.” Gwen interrupts.
Kevin scuffs before responding, “Yeah, well I like being out of control. Maybe I should absorb the Alien X power for myself.”
“I can’t let you do that, Kevin.” speaks Ben.
“You can’t stop me either, I deserve that power. I’m the one who gets turned into a monster. I’m the one nobody ever trusts or cares about!” yells Kevin.
“That’s not true.” rebuttals Gwen.
“Face it Gwen, whatever I look like, Imma freak.”
Ben and Gwen watch as Kevin finishes his speech.
“No, you’re a jerk. You’ve always been a jerk. People try to be nice to you and you can’t ever see it. You’re too busy feeling sorry for yourself.” Young Ben interjects.
Kevin, feeling upset and enraged, curls his fist startling young Ben before relaxing his hands.
“Uhh, mmm. Maybe I’ll try it your way kid. At least for today. But Tomorrow. . .”
Kevin quickly glances at Ben and Gwen before taking off. Flying far away from his friends.
“Kevin.” Gwen watches as he flees.
“He’s crazier than he was ever before.”
Whoosh
“A problem for another day. Today you’ve saved the universe and it’s time to go home. Particularly you, my impetuous young friend.”speaks, Professor Paradox. His last statement leaning toward the young Ben.
“I’m going to forget everything that happened, aren’t I? I mean, he doesn’t remember.” Nodding his head towards his older self.
“You’ll think it was a dream. But one day, you’ll remember it dimly and trust Kevin when you shouldn’t. And he’ll respond to that trust and help save the universe.
“And then turn evil again.” States Ben.
“The story isn’t over Ben. When the moment comes, you’ll do what needs to be done. That is your great gift.”
Paradox nods to Ben as Gwen quickly makes her way to the younger Ben.
“Goodbye Ben. Try being nicer to your cousin.” She smiles before placing a quick kiss on his cheek.
“Awe, why did you have to go and do that?” Young Ben questions as a small blush forms on his cheek.
Professor Paradox checks his watch, analyzing the time before turning towards the trio to speak again.
“We must take our leave before the locals take notice of my presence.”
“What about Kevin?” Questions Gwen, a worried look upon her face.
Looking determined, Ben responds.
“Don’t worry Gwen, I’ll take care of him.”

Flying away, Kevin could feel the guilt eat at him. He only wanted to do what was right. He wanted to make good decisions but he always messed. He was messed up even as a young child. But that look on Ben and Gwen's faces reminded him of the day he left home. The day he broke his mother’s heart.
“Ughh.”
The power in his veins surged, erasing those looks from his mind. Only pure bliss could be felt. A smile filled his face, he was hungry for more.
More power, Hunger. I need more power. Power. Power. Power.
