“I keep having audible hallucinations of Nightmare.” You complained to Dream, worried that somehow, Nightmare would be able to hurt you even in the OmegaTimeline.
“I’m sorry, Y/N.” Dream told you, watching as you walked into your bedroom to go to sleep for the night. “Maybe we can talk about this in the morning. For now, just try to get some sleep.”
With your hand holding onto the doorknob, you nodded and said goodnight to Dream, closing the door after he walked away down the hall to his room.
You took a deep breath to calm yourself and turned around, looking at your peaceful, quiet bedroom.
“Sweetheart,” A low, smooth, familiar voice whispered in your ear, his breath hot against your neck. “You really think of me that much?”
You flinched, quickly smacking your hand against your neck where you felt the warm breath rumble against as you turned around, but you were just met with your door. You were alone in your room.
