Midas doesn't return to the artists of their old tattoos often, the idea of explaining far too much of a headache. (and too much of a pit in their stomach at the reaction they always get. If they were honest)
The idea of explaining to the people that their work was gone- changed, and Midas, despite it being on them, had little to no control in that aspect.
Had no ability to keep it the same- to stop it from changing.
Or! A Tattoo Artist AU where after years of Midas getting used to and expectant of their tattoos to change inexplicably, they find Malitae is the only one whose Tattoos stay the same, a loyal patronage and bond growing as a result
