Chapter Text

Hisashi Shigaraki is a rather complex man with many layers almost like an onion or a well developed character in a story.

Ever since he and his younger twin Yoichi were little kids they knew their mother had odd jobs because of their father. Most people assumed their mother was a single Japanese mother with twin sons because their father was always home. Nobody ever saw him unless he had to go the doctor or the hospital.

Their mother Haruka Shigaraki and their father Yuuto Lucifen were seeing each other, fooled around one night, and that’s how Hisashi and Yoichi were born. They didn’t want to get married at first, but they went to the court and got married. Yuuto took on Haruka’s last name and became Yuuto Shigaraki.

They were thinking of getting divorced, but they didn’t want to separate the twins. So they just lived together in a house for the sake of their children and Yuuto’s health as it started to get worse.

When Hisashi was around ten and a half he saw his mother limping to the kitchen. He was worried about her and wondered if she got hurt. He didn’t like his mother or ANY of his family getting hurt. When he asked her if she was okay she said she had a rough day at work, but she was fine.

He knew she was lying. That didn’t satisfy him, and a part of him wanted to ask his mother questions about what she does for work since his school is a hosting a parent’s career day at school.

Hisashi went to one of the cabinets and grabbed a towel. Then he walked over to the freezer, put some ice inside the towel, and wrapped the towel. He made a homemade ice pack for his mom’s leg. She smiled at him, thanked him and held the ice pack over her sore leg.

Three years later he found out his mother was a sex worker because one of the kids in another class said his mom banged his mom one night. At first he thought it was weird that his mother did something like that for a living, but he didn’t know his mother was secretly a lesbian or his father being bisexual.

When school was out for the summer Hisashi was sitting on a bench waiting for Yoichi. Soon Yoichi came out of the building and leaned against the bench. Hisashi got up, “gently” took Yoichi’s hand and both of them started walking home.

~Ten minutes later~

Hisashi and Yoichi took off their shoes and went upstairs to their bedrooms. Yoichi closed the door then took off his backpack. He went over to his closet and changed out of his school uniform. He changed into a white long sleeve shirt, black pants, socks, and a light blue long sleeve jacket.

Yoichi’s bedroom was decorated with Captain Hero merchandise especially with the main protagonist Captain Hero. He was also a fan of Marvel, but didn’t really like DC for some reason. He has the avengers figurines, funko pops, and plushies. Hisashi’s bedroom had mostly Demon Lord merchandise from Captain Hero, and other villains from various franchises.

Hisashi took off his backpack and put his homework on his desk. Then he changed out of his school uniform and put on a black long sleeve shirt, black pants, socks, and white gloves because he was a little self conscious of the holes in his hands because of his meta ability.

His mom said she was proud and was never mad or saw him as a freak because of him developing a meta ability. but the older kids at school and especially the “normal kids with no meta abilities” would call him a freak, inhumane, and cursed creature.

The younger kids were a little scared of him which made him feel joy and glee when he scared them from time to time.

One day he’ll crush everyone under him like an elephant that crushes ants and insignificant creatures beneath their feet or how an emperor commands everyone to kneel before him.

His dad was also happy and joked that he could become a hero…much to Hisashi’s utter disappointment because he would be a better villain than a mere hero, vigilante or anti-hero.

Hisashi absolutely hated the small hole in each palm of his hands. He feels a little better when he wore his white gloves and Yoichi agreed with dad that he could become a hero like Captain Hero.

Hisashi walked over to his desk and starts doing his homework until his dad called him downstairs for dinner.

~Six years later~

Yoichi and Hisashi turned nineteen years old. Hisashi could finally start his criminal empire and gather followers. He could finally become the real life Demon Lord.

Overtime Hisashi went by his villain name All for One. He gathered followers, and eventually became ruler/boogeyman of the Japanese criminal underworld with his meta ability. Hisashi got his mother to quit being a sex worker by killing her boss and threatening by mostly blackmailing her clients to stop seeing her or else they will regret it for the rest of their miserable lives.

With a lot of convincing Hisashi got his mother to go back to college which she did and got her college degree. She got a job as a secretary in an office with a much friendlier boss and the job payed twice as much than her old job ever did.

Hisashi bought an expensive modern house for his entire family. He lied to his family and said he had many legitimate businesses. (They were mostly illegal businesses not that he would ever tell anyone that)

Hisashi was able to give his family a luxurious lifestyle. He has multiple bank vaults in the basement just incase something happened to the house. He would keep his family safe no matter what. He viewed his family like treasures or prized possessions that were his.

Especially his younger twin Yoichi.

Hisashi’s mother and father love modern houses and their designs. So he bought two of them as a surprise and(totally not with money that he got from doing blackmail from time to time)

His parents loved the two houses and was able to get their dad on disability. Hisashi thought about Yoichi getting disability, but he just has a frail constitution, a slightly malnourished body, and cellular degeneration. He isn’t entirely sure he would qualify for it unlike his dad.

Yuuto and Haruka were worried that Yoichi had Yuuto’s lung illness, but he didn’t show any signs of having it when he was four or throughout his childhood. Both of them feel bad for their youngest son because of his body and lack of a meta ability. They know he tries his best in school and they’re proud of him.

Meanwhile with their oldest son Hisashi who always tried to be number one in school with the best grades. They were worried for Hisashi because of his meta ability. Yuuto thought about putting him in online school, but Haruka wanted him to have a normal school life.

Yuuto was in his bedroom and leaned back against the many pillows that were on the bed. He’s covered with a fluffy blanket and a purple king oversized comforter. Because of his lung illness worsening over the years he’s connected to medical equipment like a monitor, oxygen mask and machine, iv, and blood pressure cuff.

Yuuto saw Yoichi enter the room with food and a glass of cold water with ice on a bedside tray. He puts the tray on the overbed table with wheels and rolls it over to him.

“Mom tried to make dinner. She made teriyaki chicken, white rice with butter and salt. Big brother was getting worried because you only eat half or none of your food.” Said Yoichi

“Please eat something dad…I don’t want Uncle Tomura coming here, fussing over you not eating, and dragging you to the hospital again.” Said Yoichi as he looked down at the bed.

Yuuto just looked down at the comforter. It’s not his fault he has depression and a lung illness. Some days he just doesn’t feel like eating or doing anything anymore. He didn’t want to make his sons sad so he grabbed the chopsticks and started forcing himself to eat.

Yoichi was surprised to see his dad eating since he rarely eats anything. Honestly he sometimes wonders how the hell is his dad still alive and not six feet under.

~Later~

Haruka, Hisashi, and Yoichi were downstairs in the dining room eating dessert after finishing dinner. Hisashi was talking about a successful business deal he made…much to Yoichi’s annoyance.

Haruka already finished her sundae, but was more than happy to wait for her sons to finish eating. Then maybe she’ll convince Yuuto to come downstairs and watch a movie for a family bonding experience.

Yoichi just grabbed the bottle of Hershey’s chocolate syrup and shakes it. Then he opened it and moved the bottle upside down. He poured some chocolate syrup over his vanilla ice cream sundae. Then moved the bottle back upwards and closed the lid.

Hisashi puts a little amount of whip cream on his sundae. He didn’t put any chocolate syrup on his sundae because he absolutely could not get his precious open collared black suit dirty. It was expensive and if it gets dirty he’ll just have a follower of his take it to the cleaners.

Oh the absolute humiliation he would face if his followers found out he got his suit dirty from eating. Although he’ll just put the blame on someone else if that happens.

Eventually Hisashi stopped talking and just started eating his ice cream sundae. Yoichi felt like throwing his sundae at Hisashi’s potato and smug looking face.

Soon Haruka puts the dirty dishes away inside the dishwasher. Hisashi grabs Yoichi’s hand and drags him to the sofa against his little brother’s will of course.

Yoichi gets Hisashi’s hand off of his and sits down on the sofa. Hisashi sits next to him and grabs the remote and turns on the smart tv. He tries thinking of what type of movie they should watch, but it also depends on what streaming service the movie is on.

Yuuto disconnected himself from his medical equipment and was tempted to rip out the iv, but he doesn’t want Hisashi and Yoichi fussing over him and calling Tomura. He didn’t want to deal with Tomura for a very long time. Yuuto grabbed the iv pole and walked out of his room.

He saw a ramp with railings was installed near the staircase leading to the first floor. He slowly walks down the ramp with the iv pole. It was weird being downstairs since he’s always in his bedroom.

He heard noise coming from a room and walks over to the room and quietly opens the door. He feels a small smile on his face as he sees Hisashi trying to chose a streaming service to watch. He sits down on the opposite side of the sofa. Haruka was sitting in a recliner with popcorn and was surprised to see Yuuto out of bed. She hopes he’s not overexerting himself.

~A few hours later~

Haruka and Yuuto were asleep so Hisashi puts the empty popcorn bucket away in the sink. Hisashi grabs two blankets and puts one over his mom and the other over his dad. Yoichi went upstairs to go to bed. Hisashi had to use the bathroom so he got up and went to the bathroom.

After using the bathroom he heard noise coming from upstairs and immediately assumed it was a robber breaking into the house. He used a meta ability to make his footsteps silent and walks upstairs.

He realizes that the noise sounded like someone talking. It was coming from his little brother’s bedroom. Hisashi didn’t want his little brother to be in danger or even dead. He quietly opened the door and what happened next shocked him.

WHO WAS THIS SHORT, SPIKY, GINGER SALMON HAIR BASTARD WITH THIN RED EYES AND THIS OTHER BASTARD WITH SILVER OR BLUE OR WHATEVER COLORED HAIR TIED IN A SPIKY PONYTAIL WITH A BLACK BANDANA OVER HIS FOREHEAD, AND DARK EYES?!

Once Hisashi heard and saw an intruder in his house, all he ever cared about was Yoichi and his parents too. He rushed towards the bedroom and once he saw strangers in there, he was about to use a meta ability to attack those intruders. He stopped in his tracks when he saw how Yoichi was interacting with the ginger salmon haired stranger, which immediately pissed him off.

Who the hell do those two think they are coming into his house like this? Those two better have a good explanation before he kills them. He then called out to his younger brother

”Yoichi!” screamed Hisashi

Yoichi immediately looks over at the door and sees Hisashi. Oh god this is awkward.

“H-Hey big brother…” said Yoichi

Hisashi looked at Yoichi for a moment, seeing how he looks. He didn’t like seeing his little brother standing right next to a couple of suspicious strangers in the middle of the night. How the hell did those two even get inside his house in the first place? He’ll deal with that part later. First he needs to know why his little brother was interacting with these two strangers

”Yoichi…why are they in here? How do you even know them?” Said Hisashi as he crosses his arms

“These are my friends who I met in an anime and manga store. The spiky ginger hair with red eyes is Kudo and the cadet grey hair with grey eyes is Bruce.” Said Yoichi

Hisashi just stared at him for a moment. The hell kind of explanation was that? Anime and Manga? This isn’t a fictional story. This is real life, where strangers can kill him, his younger twin brother, and his entire family. What kind of name is “Kudo” anyway? And don’t get him started on “Bruce”. This seemed very suspicious, especially at this time at night…

”You’ve…You’ve gotta be kidding me. These are your ‘friends’? What kind of explanation is that? How exactly did they get into this house? Are you not in the slightest concerned about this?!” Said Hisashi as he raised his voice a little

“I’m telling the truth Hisashi. They’re my friends and how do you think they got into the house?” Said Yoichi as he said the question sarcastically

This just made Hisashi even more annoyed. This was a perfect example of how naive his little brother was, which really pissed him off. Yoichi was too trusting and too nice for his own good. He just couldn’t understand that there are people out there that don’t have his best interests in mind. He was just too trusting at times.

His little brother was acting so calm and casual about these two being inside the goddamn house. Where were the locks? He better not find out that Yoichi opened the front door and invited them in. It’s the middle of the night for god sake, what the hell was he thinking?!

”How the hell do I know how they got here. They could’ve broken in! Or you could’ve just let them in! You don’t even know these people, why would you allow them into our home?!” Said Hisashi

Kudo looked over at Hisashi and felt annoyed for some reason.

“Why would we even break into Yoichi’s house? It’s not like we’re going to kick open a bank vault door or something. He invited us over to hang out.” Said Kudo

Yoichi’s explanation and Kudo’s comment did nothing to relieve Hisashi of his irritation. They were acting way too casual about all this. He especially didn’t like the disrespect that Kudo’s comment had.

”Don’t get cocky with me you spiky haired bastard. The fact that Yoichi would invite some strangers he met at some anime and manga shop is concerning enough. And you didn’t even answer my question, how exactly did you get inside the house?” Said Hisashi

“We’re not telling you how we got in.” said Bruce

Hearing Bruce’s words and knowing his little brother, it seemed to confirm what he thought had happened. Hisashi felt his eye twitch in annoyance, he was beyond pissed. How goddamn naive can his brother get? Letting complete strangers into their home in the middle of the night.

Hisashi’s anger flared up at Bruce’s response. How dare he refuse to answer his questions.

”What do you mean ‘you’re not telling me how you got in’. Did you break down the door? Did you pick the lock? I need to know exactly how you two got inside my house!” Screamed Hisashi

Hisashi turned his head towards Yoichi.

”Goddammit Yoichi, you’re not this naive! You can’t just invite people to our house in the middle of the night like that. You have no idea what they could be planning! Especially considering the kind of world and society we live in!” Said Hisashi

“Well I trust them. Kudo and Bruce are nice and I’m going to introduce them to mom and dad later.” Said Yoichi

Hisashi just stared at Yoichi in disbelief. He was in utter disbelief that his little brother was not only naive but also completely ignored his warnings. He did not care if Kudo and Bruce seemed nice and trustworthy, they were still strangers that he knew nothing about. The fact that Yoichi trusted them and even wanted to introduce them to their parents made him even more worried.

”You’re…You’re joking right? You think mom and dad are going to be okay with you introducing some strangers to them and bringing them into our house?!” Said Hiashi

“Hisashi it’s late go to bed.” Said Yoichi

Hisashi can’t believe what he’s hearing. He’s being told to go to bed while two strangers are in his house? He just can’t accept that and it pisses him off even more.

”Excuse me? You’re telling me to go to bed? While there are two strangers standing in our house? No way in hell am I going to go to bed while they’re still here. You’re not the one calling the shots. I’m the older brother who’s in charge of keeping you safe and I say that they need to leave.” Said Hisashi

~Meanwhile downstairs in the living room~

Yuuto hears noise coming from upstairs and he assumes it’s his sons Hisashi and Yoichi. He slowly stands up. He slowly takes out his iv and tries looking for a bandaid, but since the house is dark he bumps into the kitchen counter.

“OW-“ said Yuuto

He lets out a soft grunt after bumping into the kitchen counter. He just wanted to go back to bed but it seemed like he would need to go see what Hisashi and Yoichi were doing. It was pretty late and they should’ve been in bed. Before he could even take a step, he heard some voices coming from upstairs.

It sounded like an argument between Hisashi and Yoichi. He couldn’t make out what they were saying but he immediately got worried.

(What are they arguing about?) thought Yuuto as he slowly walks towards the staircase

Yuuto tries not to make too much noise. He quietly makes his way up the stairs and can hear the argument more clearly now. He can tell that Hisashi is the one raising his voice. Hisashi only got like that if he was really annoyed or frustrated. That just made Yuuto even more concerned, which prompted him to move a little faster.

He thinks about going up to break up their argument, but he’s not sure if it would only make things worse for the brothers.

(Those two are still at it. I should probably go up there and break them up before things go too far.) thought Yuuto

Yuuto finished walking up the stairs and goes to Yoichi’s room. He really had no choice but to break them up. After all, they were supposed to be asleep by now. He grabbed the door handle and slowly pushed the door to open it a crack so that he could hear them better. However, before he could even take a step into the room, he felt something in the back of his throat. He realized it was blood.

“Oh you have to be kidding me…why does my lung illness have to act up now out of all times…” mumbled Yuuto as he puts his hand over his mouth

Yuuto hurried over to one of the bathrooms that’s on the second floor. He quickly and quietly closed the door. He turned on the light switch and grabbed the sink counter as he aimed his head down into the sink. He starts coughing up blood. Yuuto was trying not to be loud so he didn’t wake his wife Haruka up or so Hisashi and Yoichi wouldn’t hear anything.

His coughs were painful, making it tough to keep them quiet.

”Ugh…cough cough…damn it…cough cough…” said Yuuto

He knew that if Haruka woke up or if Hisashi and Yoichi heard him, it would only make things worse. He didn’t want to worry all three of them, especially with the argument upstairs.

Eventually, his bloody coughs subsided, but not before leaving a small trail of blood in the sink. He quickly rinsed out the sink, making sure to clean up any evidence of his coughing fit. He felt a little dizzy, weak, and tired, but he knew he couldn’t go to his bedroom and sleep yet.

Yuuto grabbed a cup and puts some water into it. He rinsed out his mouth with the water to get rid of the blood taste in his mouth. He puts the cup away then turns off the light and opens the door. Then goes over to Yoichi’s bedroom door and starts to open it. Yuuto opens the door then sees Kudo and Bruce then sees Hisashi and Yoichi.

“Do you guys have any idea what time it is?!” Said Yuuto as he raised his voice a little

“Dad! W-We didn’t mean to wake you up. We were just-” Said Hisashi before he was interrupted

“Go to bed now. Yoichi whoever your two friends are tell them go to a guest bedroom. Me and your mother will deal with all four of you in the morning.” Said Yuuto before walking out of Yoichi’s room and going to his bedroom

Yoichi nods, understanding that arguing with his father would do no good. He turns to his friends and tells them to follow him to the guest bedroom

”Kudo, Bruce, You two can sleep in the guest room for the night.” Said Yoichi as he shows Kudo and Bruce to the guest bedroom

Hisashi just glares at his younger brother for telling the two men where the guest room is. Then he turns his attention towards his dad, who is already heading out of the room and going to his bedroom. He goes to his room, closes the door behind him, and changes into his pajamas. He’ll find a way to get rid of the spiky haired bastard and the grey hair bastard if it’s the last thing he does.

Chapter Text

The next day Kudo wakes up. He sees Bruce is on the bed still asleep. He’ll probably wake up soon. At first Kudo doesn’t recognize where he and Bruce are, but he remembers what happened last night.

Right…they’re in the guest bedroom after Yoichi and his older brother were fighting with each other, then their father walked into Yoichi’s bedroom, and told them all to go to bed.

Kudo reached into his pocket to grab his phone when he doesn’t feel it in his pocket. He looks around the room and sees two phones charging on the nightstand. Kudo lets out a sigh of relief that his phone and Bruce’s phone didn’t get stolen.

(That was…nice of Bruce) thought Kudo

Kudo sits up and gets off the sofa. He walks over to the door and carefully opens it. He carefully closes the door behind him then tries to find where a bathroom is. Kudo finds a bathroom and goes inside.

(Seriously how big is this two story modern house?! Feels like I’m walking through a mansion) thought Kudo 

The bathroom has white marble floor, and white marble walls. On the right is a white toilet. The middle wall has a black counter with drawers. In the middle of the counter is a white sink with a black faucet on top. Above the counter is a round mirror. In a separate adjacent room is a white bathtub with a shower head and a silver faucet.

Kudo notices something on the counter and sees its two different color cases which are blue and purple. He opens the purple case and inside is a toothbrush and a tube of toothpaste. He opens the blue one and it’s the same thing.

Kudo decides to use the purple case. Looks like one of Yoichi’s parents bought toothbrushes and two separate tubes of toothpaste for him and Bruce to use.

He goes inside the separate room and uses the bathroom. A few minutes later he flushes the toilet, and leaves the room to wash his hands at the sink. After drying his hands he opens the package and takes out one of the toothbrushes.

He turns on the faucet and puts the head of the toothbrush under the water for a few seconds. Then he grabs one of the tubes of toothpaste, takes the cap off, and puts some on the bristles before brushing his teeth.

               ~Two minutes later~

Kudo is done brushing his teeth and he puts the head of the toothpaste under the water. After a few seconds pass, he turns off the water, and puts the toothbrush back inside the case.

He puts the cap back onto the toothpaste and twists the cap until it’s tight. Kudo puts the toothpaste back inside the purple case and closes it. He looks at himself in the mirror then turns off the light, opens the door, and walks out of the bathroom.

He sees Bruce going into the bathroom after him. Kudo hears noise coming from downstairs so he walks down the stairs to check it out. He peeks his head out from behind a wall and sees someone in the kitchen.

Kudo quietly goes inside the kitchen, but the door makes a creaking sound when he  barley pushes it open. Now that Kudo gets a better look at the person he realizes it’s Yoichi and his brother’s father. That noise he heard was the man cooking something on the stove.

“Good morning sir.” said Kudo

Yuuto heard the door open and he flinched in surprise before turning his head. It’s the man with spiky ginger salmon hair who was in Yoichi’s room along with the other man who has cadet gray hair tied in a spiky ponytail with something black over his forehead.

The man’s red eyes remind him of Tomura’s eyes. It’s weird seeing someone else who has red eyes.

“Uh sir…why are you staring at me?” asked Kudo

“Oh ummm good morning and my apologies I didn’t mean to stare. I was just thinking…” said Yuuto as he quickly bowed

“You don’t need to bow it’s fine! So what are you cooking?” asked Kudo

“I’m making steamed white rice, miso soup, and tamagoyaki. I’m making mine plain because I don’t like anything in it, but if you want any type of filling in yours just tell me.” said Yuuto

“That sweet and savory rolled omelet looks good. Also no thank you I don’t want any fillings in mine.” said Kudo

“Alright I won’t put anything in yours. I just heard noise from upstairs. Your friend must be awake or it’s Zen or Yoichi.” said Yuuto

“I’m confused. Who is Zen?” asked Kudo

“Zen is Yoichi’s older twin brother. They’re identical twins, but they look a little different from each other due to a private matter.” said Yuuto

“So that’s why they look similar. Don’t worry sir I won’t bother you about something that’s private.” said Kudo

Yuuto smiled softly before continuing to cook breakfast. He makes sure the food is cooked all the way before turning off the stove. He makes sure the steamed rice pan has a lid over it, and the pot for the miso soup has a lid.

Yuuto puts his tamagoyaki on a plate and makes some more.

Kudo sees a separate room with a door connecting to the kitchen. He walks over to the room and sees a large dining table with three chairs on one side, three on the other side, one chair at the head of the table, and one chair at the end of the table. He sits down on one of the three chairs.

              ~A few minutes later~

Yuuto, Kudo, Bruce, Zen, and Yoichi are all sitting at the dining room table.

“Itadakimasu.” said everyone

After everyone said itadakimasu/let’s eat, they started eating. Bruce likes Yuuto’s cooking. He’s surprised that Yuuto can cook and is pretty good at it. Kudo enjoys the food and it’s nice having a home cooked meal.

Zen and Yoichi are used to their dad cooking and baking because their mom can’t cook that well. Even their uncle Tomura can’t cook, but he’s worse than their mom.

Yuuto is happy because he has enough energy to cook. He usually doesn’t have this much energy due to his lung illness, sometimes his depression, and luckily he’s not bedridden or connected to machines this time. Yuuto tries to eat all his food because they have guests over and it would be rude if a large amount of food was uneaten.

After Yuuto finishes eating his food, he looks at Yoichi.

“So Yoichi why don’t you introduce your friends. Your mom will be home later so you can introduce them to her too.” said Yuuto

“I’ll wait for mom to come home so I can introduce them to you both.” said Yoichi

“That’s fine with me.” said Yuuto

“Hmph what job do they have anyway? It doesn’t look like they do anything important like me.” said Zen in a smug tone

Kudo glares at Zen. There’s something about the man he can’t stand. That annoying smile is one of them and who in their right mind wears a suit with no tie to breakfast?!

He looks at Bruce to come up with a cover story because it’s not like he can say they’re in a resistance group against All For One. Bruce is too busy eating the steamed rice to notice Kudo looking at him. Kudo feels annoyed. He’ll just give the man more chores to do when they get back to the base.

“Me and my…friend do volunteer work and we’re currently working at a pet shop that has baby animals. I was thinking of letting Yoichi join us.” said Kudo

“No. He won’t be working in that sort of place.” said Zen

“What is that supposed to mean?” said Kudo

“You two better not argue and Zen be nice to our guests.” said Yuuto

“They just showed up in the middle of the night without any reason!” snapped Zen

“Just forget about why they showed up. I’ve had something similar happen to me before I met your mom…but that was a long time ago. Anyway is everyone finished eating?” asked Yuuto

“Yes.” said everyone

Yuuto stands up from his chair. He pushes the chair in and collects all the dishes. He walks into the kitchen, puts them onto the counter, and lowers the dishwasher door. He pulls out the white rack then puts the plates on the bottom rack. Yuuto puts soup bowls on the top rack angled downwards then puts the cups on the top rack.

He puts a detergent pod inside the main wash compartment of the dishwasher which is found on the door. He closes the main compartment’s lid then raises the dishwasher door up and closes it. Yuuto turns on the dishwasher.

He doesn’t mind doing the cleaning. He’s been doing it for years along with cooking, baking, and doing other household responsibilities. Having a lung illness did make raising Zen and Yoichi difficult when Haruka was busy at work. Yuuto tried to be a good parent like his mother was with him and Tomura.

Yuuto hopes Zen will get along with Yoichi’s friends and not argue with his younger brother again. Now time for him to go watch tv in the living room until Haruka comes home from work.

He goes to the living room, sits down on the sofa, and grabs the smart tv remote. Yuuto scrolls through all streaming platforms they have and he clicks on Netflix. After logging into his account Yuuto watches a show he’s currently watching.

                    ~Hours Later~

It’s the afternoon and Yuuto finished cooking lunch for everyone. He excused himself by saying he wasn’t hungry.

Yuuto is eating Pocky as a snack while trying to catch up on some episodes of a show he hasn’t watched in a few months. The flavor he’s eating is the one in the red box which is the chocolate cream covered biscuit sticks.

He hears a noise coming from his phone so Yuuto gets up from the sofa, walks over to where his phone is charging on a small table, and grabs his phone. He sees a notification and it’s from Haruka saying she’ll try to get home before dinner, but if not just save her leftovers.

Yuuto texts back saying don’t worry I will then texts get home safe. He turns off his phone, puts it back on the small table, and then goes back to the sofa. Yuuto eats a few more pocky before closing the box.

~In the guest bedroom upstairs~

“So that’s the cover story you went with?!” said Bruce

“What else was I supposed to do? It was the only one I could think of.” said Kudo

“Let’s hope our real job doesn’t get revealed. Does this mean we have to get actual jobs at an animal shelter? You know how the world feels about meta humans and meta abilities right now. The world hasn’t been the same since 2004. Technology is still improving and hasn’t been stopped for whatever reason.” said Bruce

“I’ll try to find a shelter that’s run by someone with a meta ability, but that will be difficult. I agree that is strange.” said Kudo

“I’ll help you leader. I’m not sure if we can find one by going on Google or if we’ll have to go look in person.” said Bruce

“Remember if anyone asks if we’re meta humans just say we’re cosplayers and going to an anime convention.” said Kudo

“Don’t worry I know. Now how do we explain to Yoichi’s parents that we first met him at an anime and manga store?” asked Bruce

“The store has a Starbucks inside so just say we went to go get Starbucks. I turned a corner and accidentally bumped into Yoichi. I helped him up from the floor, picked up the manga he dropped, and gave it back to him while saying sorry. Then I offered to buy his manga for him to make it up, but he said no. So I offered to buy him Starbucks which he said yes to.” said Kudo

“That first meeting is so cliche! It’s a common trope in manga, romance books, tv shows, movies, and other types of media. So unoriginal.” said Bruce

“You try coming up with something!” said Kudo

“No. Let’s just stick to your cliche first meeting Toshitsugu the unoriginal.” said Bruce

“Stop calling it cliche and don’t call me by that name. Your name is the same name as the actor Bruce Lee.” said Kudo

“Hmm…nope. I know and I’m glad my parents didn’t name me after the actor. My parents just like the name Bruce so they named me Bruce. My last name is Lee because a long time ago I had Korean ancestors. Now in my family there’s more Japanese ancestors, but the last name still remains in the family.” said Bruce

Kudo gives Bruce an interested look at his ancestry, but at the same time he gives Bruce an annoyed look due to the name the man called him.

He turns around, walks over to the sofa, and sits down. Kudo tries to think of where a meta human animal shelter might be located in Japan. He takes out his phone and looks it up on google, but there’s nothing. Looks like himself and Bruce will have to search in person.

                    ~Meanwhile~

Zen throws a pillow across his room because he doesn’t want to activate his meta ability and destroy his room or the actual house. It would be expensive to buy another house or have construction people build a house that’s exactly like this one.

What is it about Yoichi’s so called “friends” that annoys Zen a lot especially that ginger salmon spiky haired bastard. Grey hair doesn’t annoy him as much.

Who do they think they are to let Yoichi do volunteer work?! He’s too fragile to do that. Yoichi has always been sickly and has a weak body since birth. There’s no way he’ll be able to handle working at an animal shelter.

Zen walks around his room, trying to think of some other job that Yoichi can do. Maybe he can work at one of his many businesses specifically the ones that are legal.

After all he can’t let Yoichi or his mom and dad find out about his illness businesses. If they did, they would start asking questions and Zen doesn’t feel like answering them or trying to come up with an excuse.

Out of nowhere his phone starts ringing. He takes his phone out of his pocket and sees who’s calling him. Zen accepts the call and starts talking to the person on the other end.

“So you have the product that I need?” said Zen

“Yes sir. That product was hard to get, but I got it.” said the other person

“Good.” said Zen

“When and where would you like the product delivered?” said the other person

“I would like it delivered in a few days. I have a PO Box you can deliver it to.” said Zen

“Of course sir. Your product will be delivered in a few days.” said the other person

“The number for the box is xxx-xxxx.” said Zen

“Got it. Bye sir.” said the other person

Zen hangs up the phone without saying anything. It’s a good thing the PO Box is for one of his largest businesses’s and some of his other businesses in Japan also have PO Boxes. So the person can’t exactly find where he is and if the person tells the number to someone else…there will be consequences…

                        ~Later~

Haruka comes home from work and has dinner with her “husband” although Yuuto is more like a friend. Not that they let other people know about their situation. The food that Yuuto made for dinner was grilled fish, white rice, and vegetables. The food tasted so good!

After everyone was finished eating Yuuto grabbed the dishes, went to the kitchen, and put them inside the dishwasher. Then he walked out of the kitchen, and goes down the hallway to the living room.

Yuuto sits down on the sofa and so does Haruka. Zen is standing in a corner grumbling to himself. Yoichi walks into the living room with his friends.

“I guess it’s time to introduce you to my friends.” said Yoichi as he looks over at them

“Why don’t you two introduce yourself.” said Yoichi

“It’s nice to meet you Shigaraki-san. I’m…Kudo Toshitsugu. Please treat me well.” said Kudo as he bows

“It’s nice to meet you Shigaraki-san. I’m Lee Bruce. Uh please treat me well.” said Bruce as he bows

“It’s nice to meet you both. I’m Shigaraki Haruka and this is my husband Shigaraki Yuuto.” said Haruka

Haruka and Yuuto bow then rise. Kudo and Bruce rise from their positions. Yoichi looks happy, seems like his parents like his friends. Zen feels annoyed, but at least they respected their parents.

“So how did you two meet Yoichi?” said Haruka

“Me and Bruce first met him at an anime and manga store. The store has a Starbucks inside and we went to go get Starbucks. When I was turning a corner, I accidentally bumped into Yoichi. “Sureee you are.” said Zen sarcastically

Kudo gives Zen a look of annoyance and Zen has a look of “innocence” on his face. He blinks his white eyes while smiling. Seems the spiky haired bastard hasn’t done anything wrong so far. Kudo feels even more annoyed, but he’s acting nice in front of Yoichi’s parents.

Bruce notices the time on the digital clock and it’s getting late. They should probably get back to the base. Bruce looks over at Kudo.

Kudo notices the look.

“We should get going. It’s getting late, but thank you for having us at your house.” said Kudo as he bows

“Anytime. You two are always welcome here.” said Yuuto

“Get home safe.” said Haruka

Kudo and Bruce nodded. They walked over towards the door and walked down a white step into the genkan. The floor is made out of white tiles and there’s a white step that leads into the rest of the house. Kudo and Bruce put on their shoes.

Yoichi walks over to the front door and unlocks it. Kudo and Bruce walk out and wave bye to Yoichi. Yoichi waves bye back then he closes the door and locks it. He couldn’t wait to see Toshitsugu and Bruce again.

Chapter Text

A few days after visiting Yoichi’s house it’s late at night in the resistance base. Kudo and Bruce decide to get actual legal jobs. While getting supplies from abandoned stores or stores that are going out of business has been alright for the base so far, it’s not exactly a permanent solution.

Plus the base needs repairs and they don’t have the money for that yet. Kudo and Bruce also need to keep up the lie they told Yoichi’s dad about them doing volunteer work at a pet shop and working with baby animals.

Kudo and Bruce are going to be walking around Japan looking for pet shops that are run by meta humans and have a now hiring sign.

The two men will do this in the morning so they get ready for bed, go to the bathroom, take a shower. Then they go to their rooms and get ready for bed.

                  ~The next day~

Kudo and Bruce wake up early. They both grab a small backpack from inside their closets. They put some stuff inside the backpack, and close the zipper. Kudo and Bruce try to dress as casually as they can.

Soon they’re done getting ready Kudo and Bruce go to kitchen, eat something for breakfast, then walk out of the resistance base. They look around to make sure nobody is watching them and the two go into town. While walking around they stay close together just to be safe.

They keep walking and searching for any pet shops that are open. Kudo sees a pet shop called Sakura pet paradise. He looks at the window, sees the hours, and it’s open. Then Kudo opens the door and walks inside.

Kudo sees a man with dark brown hair and dark brown eyes standing at the front desk. The man is typing something on the computer. Kudo walks over to the front desk.

“Excuse me I was wondering if you’re hiring or looking for volunteers? Me and my friend would like to do some volunteer work.” said Kudo

“I’m sorry sir, but we’re not looking for any more volunteers because we just hired some. I’ve heard there’s an animal shelter that’s looking for volunteers because they’re low on staff and are willing to pay the volunteers.” said the man

“They must really need employees anyway thank you for the help.” said Kudo

“You’re welcome.” said the man

Kudo turns around, walks over to the door, and opens it. He closes it behind him then walks over to Bruce.

“Are they hiring?” said Bruce

“No. The store wasn’t looking for volunteers, but he did say to try an animal shelter.” said Kudo

“That’s sucks, but let’s go try another pet shop. If you’re hungry we can get something to eat afterward.” said Bruce

“Sure.” said Kudo

Kudo and Bruce start walking. They try to find another pet shop that’s open and they do. This pet shop is called Aeon Pet. Bruce sees that’s it’s open so he opens the door and goes inside.

Bruce sees a woman standing at the front desk writing down something inside a notebook. He goes over to the front desk. She sees him, stops writing then puts the pencil down next to the notebook and closes the notebook.

“Hello sir welcome to Aeon Pet. Is there anything I can help you with?” said the woman

“Are you hiring volunteers?” asked Bruce

“No sir we’re not.” said the woman

“Okay, but thank you for trying to help me.” said Bruce

“No problem.” said the woman

Bruce leaves the pet shop and goes over to where Kudo is. Kudo turns around and looks at him.

“So any luck?” said Kudo

“None. Let’s try animal shelters next.” said Bruce

“Sounds fine to me.” said Kudo

They notice it’s the afternoon so they go get something to eat at a nearby restaurant aka McDonald’s. Kudo orders a 10 piece chicken nugget with a drink, Bruce orders a hamburger with fries and a drink.

After eating they leave McDonald’s. Kudo and Bruce find an animal shelter called Pawfectly Pawsome. Kudo looks at the window and notices the shelter employees are out for lunch. They go to another animal shelter.

The second animal shelter Kudo and Bruce they go to is called FurEver Home. Kudo hopes this one is hiring volunteers and isn’t out for lunch. He looks at the window, sees the hours, and they’re open.

Kudo and Bruce go inside. There’s a man with blue hair stocking some of the shelves. Bruce couldn’t tell if the hair was dyed or if he has a meta ability and his hair is blue because of that. After the man is done he notices Kudo, Bruce, and walks over to them.

“You two must be the new employees! Two more employees will show up later to take over your shift. Now let’s go to the back and I’ll give you a tour. Oh right forgot to introduce myself, my name is Katayama Amane. The owner of this no-kill shelter is my best friend Takanashio Hayami. We take care of dogs, cats, and other small animals if they don’t get adopted at other shelters. Also because we’re low staff, you might have to work extra hours sometimes. You’ll receive a paycheck at the end of the week.” said Katayama

“Wait, but we’re volunt-“ said Bruce before Kudo elbowed him

“It’s nice to meet you Katayama-san.” said Kudo as he narrowed his eyes at Bruce

After the introductions were over Katayama gave the two a tour of the shelter. He introduced them to Takanashio who has dyed purple hair and black eyes. She told them what various jobs they’ll be doing. Katayama asked them what their clothing size is, and gave them uniforms. After putting on their uniforms Kudo and Bruce started working.

Kudo and Bruce ended up working for hours until the other two employees showed up to work the night shift. Kudo and Bruce said hello to them and went back to the base.

They changed out of their uniforms, ate dinner, and took a shower. Once Kudo and Bruce were done taking a shower in their own bathrooms, they went to their own bedrooms, and changed into some pajamas.

Kudo and Bruce were exhausted, but at least they have a job that gives them a paycheck. Even though Katayama mistook them for employees instead of volunteers.

Chapter Text

Yoichi is bored being home all the time. He wants to do something fun and exciting!

So he thinks getting a job will help. Also he can use his own paycheck to buy comics or buy stuff that he wants for himself without asking his mom and dad to buy something for him.

However, Yoichi isn’t sure what type of job he wants to do. He looks up jobs on Google that are hiring someone who has no experience. He sees some jobs that are interesting. Maybe working at a convenience store won’t be so bad.

Yoichi decides to go check them out and hopefully one of them will hire him. He goes to the bathroom to take a shower, when he’s done with his shower he blow drys his hair, and gets dressed.

After he’s done Yoichi grabs his phone, puts it inside his pocket then he walks downstairs. He goes into the kitchen and grabs some food to eat.

When Yoichi is done eating he walks out of the kitchen then walks towards the front door. He takes a step down into the Genkan and puts his shoes on.

Yoichi done putting on his shoes and unlocks the front door. He walks out of the house, closes the door behind him, and locks the front door with a key. He walks away from the house and tries to find a convenience store.

                 ~Some time later~

Yoichi finds a Lawson and walks inside. He sees a woman at the register checking people out so he waits until the woman is done. When the person is done Yoichi walks over to them.

“Hi. Are you guys hiring?” asked Yoichi

“No sir not at this time, but we might be hiring someday. By the way the premium roll cakes might look a little different because owner of the store wanted to try whip cream instead of the usual cream.” said the woman

“Okay I’ll buy one.” said Yoichi

Yoichi grabs a premium roll cake and gives it to the person to scan.

“Perfect that’ll be 150 yen.” said the woman

Yoichi gives the person 150 yen then the roll cake is put into a bag. He said bye to the person and walks out of the store. Yoichi takes the premium roll cake out of the bag, opens the package and takes a bite.

It tastes great with whip cream and the sweet sponge cake is good too. Yoichi finishes eating the roll cake, he throws the package, and bag into a trash can. He walks away from Lawson and tries to find another convenience store.

Yoichi keeps walking and finds a FamilyMart. He walks over, checks the stores hours on the window, and they’re open. Yoichi goes inside the store and sees someone isn’t at the front desk, but is instead stocking the shelves.

He walks over to the man and waits for him to be done stocking the shelves.

“Hi, I was wondering if you guys are hiring at the moment?” asked Yoichi

“Yes we are. We need someone to work as a cashier. I work as the stocker, but the previous cashier left due to what’s going on in the world.” said the man

“That sounds terrible and is there a job application form I can fill out?” asked Yoichi

“Yes there is. I’ll go get right now.” said the man

The man went to the back to get the form. A few minutes later he comes back and gives the form to Yoichi. Then the man keeps stocking and arranging products on the shelves.

Yoichi waves bye and the person waves bye back. He puts the job application into his pocket then walks to another convenience store. Yoichi sees a 7-Eleven and there’s a now hiring sign on the window. He notices the store is open so he walks inside.

He sees a woman arranging money inside a cash register then the woman arranges some things on some shelves. After she’s done the woman notices there’s a customer and looks over at Yoichi.

“Welcome to 7-Eleven. How can I help you?” asked the woman

“I’m here to see what positions you’re hiring.” said Yoichi

“We’re trying to hire someone who can stock the shelves and arrange the products.” said the woman

“Okay. Do you have a job application form I can fill out?” asked Yoichi

“Yes I do.” said the woman

The woman went to the back of the store, grabbed a job application form, and went back to the front of store where Yoichi was. She gave the job application to him, he waved bye, and so did she.

                    ~A while later~

Yoichi returned home and closes the door behind him. He takes his shoes off, but keeps his socks on. Then he takes a step up out of the Genkan and goes upstairs to his bedroom.

He closes the door behind him, walks over to where he has his comics, and grabs one of the Captain Hero comics. Yoichi walks over to his bed, sits down, grabs a bookmark, puts it next to him. Then he opens his comic book and starts reading volume four.

After Yoichi filled out his job applications forms for FamilyMart and 7-Eleven, he waited two weeks for any news about him being hired. The waiting felt like it took forever! Today Yoichi got good news from a phone call and he got the job at 7-Eleven!

Inside a house in Japan a nine year old male child with white hair and white eyes is currently watching a man put supplies on a counter. The child is able to see the kitchen counter because he’s taller than most kids his age. He looks at the man and fidgets with his hands.

“Uhh dad…I-I’m…not so sure about this…what if i mess up or burn something?” said Zen nervously

“Don’t worry I’ll be right here just incase. I’m sure you’ll be good at baking. Now let’s go wash your hands then we’ll start.” said Yuuto

“Okay.” said Zen

Flash forward to today and…Zen still sucks at baking.

Yuuto is in the kitchen watching Zen as he tries to bake chocolate chip cookies. Zen doesn’t really know how to bake and the demon lord should know how to do everything, but he’s trying his best.

Yuuto already preheated the oven and he turns to look at his son.

“How does the batter look so far?” asked Yuuto

“Uh…it looks fine.” said Zen

“Good. Now I’ll go get the baking pan and parchment paper.” said Yuuto

Yuuto walked over to the cabinet, grabbed the baking pan, and puts it onto the countertop. Then he grabs a container of parchment paper, tears some off, and puts it on the baking pan.

Yuuto makes sure the parchment paper is completely on the baking pan. He walks over to where the refrigerator is so he can get something to drink. Zen scoops the cookie dough using a scooper and plops the dough onto the parchment paper.

Zen opens the oven door, grabs the baking pan, and puts the baking pan in the oven. He closes the door and sets a timer for 12 minutes. Hopefully the cookies don’t burn like last time.

Zen walks out of the kitchen and goes upstairs to his room.

Yuuto watched him leave the kitchen. He hopes Zen isn’t disappointed about the cookies, but he’s sure they’ll turn out fine and not burnt.

He watches the digital timer on the stove and waits for the cookies to come out. 12 minutes later the cookies are ready so Yuuto puts on ovens mitts, opens the oven door, and takes the baking pan out of the oven.

Yuuto puts the baking pan onto the counter and closes the oven door. He takes off the oven mitts and puts them away. Then takes out a plate and puts the cookies on the plate. Out of nowhere he hears a knock on the front door. Yuuto was about to walk out of the kitchen, when he started coughing up blood. He puts a hand over his mouth and runs to the sink.

He coughs up blood, grabs a cup, and eventually stops coughing. He puts some water into the cup and rinses out his mouth. After he’s done doing that he cleans the sink, cleans the cup, and puts it away. Yuuto  grabs a small knife, puts it up his long sleeve before walking out of the kitchen. He walks to the front door.

Yuuto is confused about who’s knocking because he didn’t order anything from Amazon. It’s not like Zen or Yoichi have people coming over, Kudo and Lee were just here recently, so it can’t be them otherwise Yoichi would’ve said something.

He nervously unlocks the front door and stands there in shock.

(Mother?! What…how…why is she here?!) thought Yuuto

“Mother how good it is to see you.” said Yuuto

“It’s nice to see you too Yuuto.” said Elena

Yuuto lets his mother inside the house, closes the door, and locks it after she comes in. Elena kneels to the floor and takes off her long brown boots. Then she stands back up and walks up the white step that leads into the rest of the house.

Elena smells something sweet coming from the kitchen and she opens the kitchen door. She sees cookies on a plate, upon looking at them closely, she can tell the cookies are chocolate chip. Elena grabs one of the cookies and takes a bite.

Yuuto sees what just happened, he grabs a napkin, and grabs one of the cookies. He waits for the cookie to cool off and takes a bite. He couldn’t believe it…Zen actually baked something edible and it doesn’t even taste burnt!

He has to go tell Zen and Yoichi that their grandma is here. He wonders if his aunt and uncle are here in Japan too, but he didn’t see them behind his mother so probably not. Yuuto finishes eating his cookie, cleans his hands, and throws away the napkin into the trash can. He walks out of the kitchen and goes upstairs. Yuuto walks to Zen’s bedroom door, knocks on it, and opens the door.

“Zen your grandma is downstairs. Go say hello to her.” said Yuuto

Zen reluctantly walks over to the door, and goes down the stairs to the first floor. Once he gets downstairs, he walks over to the kitchen, and opens the kitchen door. Zen sees his grandma eating one of the cookies that he baked. He grabs one of the cookies from the plate and takes a bite.

Mmm…well his baking skills aren’t bad and the cookie tastes fine. Hmm might need to add a little more chocolate chips next time. 

“These cookies taste good. Yuuto did you bake these?” asked Elena

Yuuto walks downstairs and stands in the doorway. He looks over at his mother.

“No I didn’t bake the cookies. It was actually Zen who baked them.” said Yuuto

“Oh…well Zen your cookies taste good. Your baking has gotten better.” said Elena

“Thank you grandma.” said Zen

“Dad where’s Yoichi? I wanted him to eat one of my cookies and tell me what he thinks of it.” asked Zen

“Oh he’s out right now. You can let him try one of your cookies when he comes back home.” said Yuuto

(Yoichi’s gone?! Why didn’t he tell me where he’s going? I’m his older brother I have to know where Yoichi is incase something happens to him. Now he’s keeping secrets from me? First it was the spiky haired bastard, grey hair bastard, and now this?) thought Zen

Zen will find out where Yoichi is and when he does, he’ll make sure his little brother is safe…

After Yuuto and Elena talked for hours she had to go back home. Yuuto tried to tell his mother to stay in the guest bedroom, but Elena said she was fine. Elena hugged Zen, Yuuto, and grabbed another cookie from the plate before leaving. Zen closes the door, locks it, and walks back upstairs to his room.

Yoichi is lying in bed because he’s sick with a cold. He feels miserable due to him somehow catching a cold. Yoichi hopes his mom, Zen, and his dad don’t catch his cold. Zen and his mom are out of the house, but his dad is here so it’s just the two of them. He had to call in sick for his job and his boss understood.

Yoichi doesn’t want to get out of bed because his bed is comfortable, but he knows he needs to eat something. So Yoichi reluctantly sits up in his bed, removes the comforter, and swings his legs over the bed. He slowly stands up and rubs his eyes.

Yoichi walks to the door and opens it. He walks out of his room, closes the door, and goes downstairs. After walking downstairs, he goes to the kitchen. Yoichi sees his dad opening a cabinet and looking through it.

Yuuto looks at all the things he has in the cabinet, but he can’t find anything that looks good. So he decides to make a type of  rice porridge called Okayu for Yoichi to eat because he knows Yoichi is sick with a cold.

He looks over at Yoichi.

“I’m making you something simple to eat. If there’s leftovers put them in the fridge.” said Yuuto

“Yes dad.” said Yoichi

Yoichi goes to the separate room which has a door connecting to the kitchen aka the dining room. He walks over to the door and opens it. Yoichi goes to the large dining table and sits down on one of the chairs.

Yuuto grabs a small pot and brings it to the sink. He turns on the water, and puts the pot under the water. He grabs a sponge that is next to the sink, and wets it with water. He puts dish soap on the sponge, and starts cleaning the pot.

After cleaning the pot, he dries the pot with a towel. Yuuto puts the pot under the faucet and fills it with water. He puts the pot onto the stove and goes over to another cabinet. He opens the cabinet and grabs some white rice.

He rinses the rice in water and drains the water using a colander. Yuuto puts the rice into the pot. He puts a lid over the pot and turns on the stove. Yuuto lets the rice boil in the pot. After a few minutes he opens the lid and gently stirs the rice with a spoon.

Yuuto makes sure the rice isn’t sticking to the bottom of the pot. Once he’s done doing that, he takes out the spoon, and puts the lid back on. He simmers the rice for 30 minutes.

                   ~30 minutes later~

Yuuto turns off the stove and leaves the rice on the pot for 10 minutes. He walks to the refrigerator and gets a drink. Yuuto grabs a cup, cleans it in the sink using water, soap, and dries it with a towel. He pours the drink into the cup, puts the cap back onto the drink, and puts it back inside the refrigerator.

Yuuto grabs a bowl, renge spoon, and walks over to the small pot. He takes the lid off and scoops some okayu with the spoon. Once he’s done, he puts the lid back onto the pot. Yuuto walks to the dining room and opens the door. He opens the door and puts the bowl on the large dining table in front of Yoichi. Yuuto walks back into the kitchen, grabs Yoichi’s drink and walks back to the dining room. He puts the drink next to the bowl.

Yoichi puts his hands together.

“Itadakimasu/let’s eat.” says Yoichi

Yoichi grabs the renge spoon, scoops some rice onto it, and blows on the rice. He eats the rice and it tastes plain. Maybe his dad should’ve added something to the rice to make it taste better, but it was nice of his dad to cook him something. Yoichi keeps eating the rice until the bowl is empty. He’ll eat the leftover rice in the pot later if he gets hungry again.

Yoichi finishes drinking his drink, but before he can grab the dishes, his dad takes the dishes from him. Yuuto puts the dishes into the sink and cleans them. He dries the dishes using a towel then grabs some disinfecting wipes and wipes them down. After wiping them down Yuuto puts the dishes away.

Yoichi puts the leftover rice into a container. He closes the container’s lid and makes sure it’s tight. Yoichi puts the container inside the fridge. He leaves the kitchen and goes upstairs. Yoichi goes to his room and closes the door behind him.

He turns around to go to his bed when he sneezes. Yoichi puts his nose into his elbow and he keeps sneezing. He grabs a tissue and blows into it.

Yoichi grabs another tissue and cleans his sleeve where his elbow is. He starts to cough and puts his mouth over his elbow. He hates being sick. Maybe watching tv will help distract him oh wait he doesn’t have a tv in his room. Yoichi lets out a groan.

“Ughhhhh this day suckssss.” says Yoichi

He doesn’t feel like walking downstairs again so he’ll watch something on his phone. Yoichi walks over to his bed, sits down, covers himself with his blanket, and grabs his phone. He makes sure it’s connected to the charger and opens up YouTube. Yoichi watches some videos on his phone. After a while he starts to fall asleep.

                ~A couple hours later~

Yuuto was in the middle of watching tv when there’s someone knocking on the front door.

Maybe if he ignores whoever is knocking on the door, the person will go away. Yuuto grabs the remote and is about to hit the play button, but the knocking doesn’t stop. Now he’s annoyed.

Yuuto puts the remote on the couch, stands up, and walks out of the living room. Yuuto slowly walks through the hallway and goes to the front door. He makes sure he’s being really quiet and looks out the peephole.

It’s Tomura Lucifen.

Yuuto wants to go back to watching tv, but Tomura will just keep knocking on the door. He reluctantly unlocks the door and opens it a little.

“Hey Tomuraaa…” said Yuuto trying not to sound annoyed

“Hi little brother. Now are you going to welcome me inside or are you just going to let me stand here?” said Tomura with a smirk

Yuuto smiles and closes the door in front of Tomura’s face. Tomura’s eye twitches in annoyance. He starts knocking on the front door repeatedly.

“Lucifen Yuuto! Let me in!!! Do you really want me to break open this damn door!?” said Tomura in anger

Yuuto tries not to correct Tomura about his last name which is Shigaraki not Lucifen anymore. He doesn’t feel like buying a new door because Zen bought this house for him and Haruka. Yuuto can’t imagine the sad look on his oldest twin son’s face when he finds out the door was damaged. Zen spent a lot of yen on this house.

Plus he…doesn’t want Tomura to get even angrier…it’s never good when he gets violent. Yuuto opens the door, and lets Tomura inside. He closes the door and locks it.

Tomura kneels down to the floor and takes off his shoes. Then stands up, walks up the white step that leads into the rest of the house. He turns around and waits for Yuuto. Yuuto walks up the step and goes to the living room. Tomura follows him from behind.

“You look annoyed.” said Tomura

“Uh huh.” said Yuuto before putting his mouth into his elbow as coughs

Yuuto hopes he isn’t getting Yoichi’s cold, but it’s probably his lung illness.

“Why did you come here…? Are you trying to get yourself sick?” asked Yuuto

“No I wanted to see you. What do you mean by sick?! Are you si-“ asked Tomura before he was interrupted

“No I’m not sick. Yoichi is the one who has a cold so don’t go upstairs. Now shut up.” said Yuuto

Tomura angrily glares at Yuuto. How dare Yuuto tell him to shut up, he’s the older brother not him. Perhaps a slap will teach him, but he doesn’t want Yoichi or Zen to know about his and Yuuto’s abusive relationship. Maybe ice cream will make his second nephew feel better, it always worked for Yuuto so maybe it’ll work for Yoichi.

Chapter Text

Tomura takes out his phone and texts one of his followers to get some ice cream for Yoichi. After texting his follower, he puts his phone away.

Now to make an excuse so he can go get the ice cream for his second nephew because he is such a “good uncle”.

“I’m feeling a little thirsty so I’m going to go get something to drink. Oh by the way your shoelaces are untied.” said Tomura

“I can go get you something from the fridge.” said Yuuto

Yuuto looks down at the ground, but he’s not wearing shoes, he’s wearing socks. He looks up, the front door is open, and Tomura is gone. Well at least Yuuto doesn’t have to deal with Tomura anymore.

He walks over to front door, steps down into the genkan, and closes the front door. He locks it and steps up into the house. Yuuto turns around and walks to the living room. He sits down on the couch, grabs the remote, and hits play on a tv show.

                 ~A few minutes later~

There’s knocking on the front door again. Yuuto ignores the knocking because it’s probably Tomura and he doesn’t feel like seeing him. He continues watching a show on tv when the front door is unlocked. For a moment Yuuto thought Tomura broke into the house, but he never gave Tomura a key so how would he-oh wait the only other person who has a key is Haruka!

(This will probably be awkward…thought Yuuto)

Yuuto waits to hear footsteps, but all he hears is arguing. Hopefully Yoichi doesn’t wake up from all the noise, but his door is closed so he should be fine.

He stands up from the sofa and peeks his head out from behind a wall. Haruka and Tomura are…arguing over ice cream flavors?!

“I picked this flavor first!” said Tomura

“No I did because I saw it before you! You copied me! Go get a different flavor.” said Haruka

“No!” said Tomura

Haruka let out a noise of frustration before walking over to the living room. Yuuto tries hiding behind the wall, but Haruka grabbed him.

“Tell Tomura he’s wrong.” said Haruka

“Uhh…can you tell me what happened first?” asked Yuuto as he hesitated

“Well I was at the store shopping because I wanted to get Yoichi something to make him feel better so I got some ice cream. I checked out, went to the car, and started driving back home when I saw this copycat getting ice cream! I looked inside the bag and it was the same flavor as mine.” said Haruka

“Tch…how was I supposed to know you would get the same flavor as me.” said Tomura

Yuuto looked at Haruka then Tomura as they argued. He kept looking back and forth and tried to think of a solution. Yuuto sees the ice cream containers are by themselves on a table and having a little taste of it won’t be so bad. He sneakily walks towards the table and grabs an ice cream container.

When he reaches for one of the ice cream containers he feels a hand on his shoulder. Yuuto slowly looks behind and sees Haruka with an angry expression on her face. Next thing he knows is she’s chasing him and the two of them are running in circles around the couch. Tomura picks up the ice cream containers, walks to the kitchen, opens the freezer, and puts the ice cream inside. He turns around and walks out of the kitchen.

Tomura goes over to the living room and picks up Yuuto and Haruka. He puts them in separate corners of the living room for timeout which annoys both of them.

                 ~Meanwhile upstairs~

Yoichi wakes up from his nap and hears noises. He sits up, gets out of his bed, and walks over to the door. Yoichi slowly opens the door and walks out of his room.

He walks over to where the railing is and looks down at the first floor. Yoichi tries to hear what’s going on, but he can’t hear anything properly so he carefully walks downstairs.

After walking downstairs he sees his parents standing in separate corners and looking at the wall. Yoichi has a confused look on his face, but before he can open his mouth his uncle hugs him. He hugs Tomura back. Yuuto sees Tomura hugging Yoichi and he glares at Tomura with a look on his face that says “hurt my son and you will regret it”.

Yoichi feels something in his nose before he starts sneezing. He puts his elbow over his nose. Tomura quickly lets go of him and takes a few steps back. Yuuto sees this, grabs a box of tissues, and pulls one out of the box. He gives the tissue to Yoichi and Yoichi blows his nose with it.

After Yoichi finishes using the tissue he throws it away in a trash can.

                         ~Later~

Zen comes home after “working” and he unlocks the front door with a key. He walks inside, turns around, and locks the front door. Zen puts his key in his pocket as he bends down to remove his shoes. He takes a step inside the house and walks into the hallway.

He goes into the living room and sees Yoichi sitting on the sofa with a box of tissues beside him. Zen doesn’t like seeing his little brother sick so he needs to make him feel better!

Zen knows the perfect thing to make Yoichi feel better. He turns around and walks over to the kitchen. Zen opens the door, goes to where the sink is, and washes his hands. Oh wait he doesn’t know how to make the thing…that’s fine he can look it up on his phone.

Zen takes out his phone and looks the thing up. He walks over to the fridge, gets his ingredients, and grabs a mug. Zen cleans the mug at the sink with dish soap and dries it using a towel.

He puts the mug on the counter and takes out a carton of milk from the fridge. Zen grabs a tablespoon, pours milk into the mug, then some cocoa powder into the tablespoon, and sugar using the tablespoon. He puts the coca power and sugar into the mug. Zen grabs a spoon and mixes the mixture. After he sees that the mixture looks ready Zen grabs the mug and opens the microwave. He puts the mug inside and presses the 1 minute button.

1 minute later the microwave beeps and Zen opens the door. He carefully takes the mug out and puts it on the counter. Zen grabs some whip cream, marshmallows, and a straw. He puts some marshmallows into the drink and grabs the whip cream bottle. Before adding the whip cream Zen puts a little something extra into the drink. 

He shakes the bottle and sprays some whip cream on top of the mug. Zen puts some more marshmallows on the whip cream and puts a straw into the mug. Now time to give it to Yoichi!

Zen grabs the mug and walks out of the kitchen. He’ll put the stuff away later. Zen goes into the hallway and into the living room. Yoichi is still on the sofa so he waits for him to stop sneezing. After Yoichi stops sneezing Zen puts the mug into Yoichi’s hands. Yoichi looks at the mug in confusion.

“Big brother what is this?” asked Yoichi

“It’s hot chocolate. I thought it would make you feel better if you drink it.” said Zen

Yoichi takes a sip from the straw and it tastes good, but it’s hot. He waits for the hot chocolate to cool off and when it’s cooled off he keeps drinking it. A while later Yoichi finishes drinking the hot chocolate and he rubs his eyes.

He starts to feel tired. It’s probably his cold making him feel tired so maybe taking a little nap will help. Yoichi goes into the kitchen, puts the mug into the sink, and walks out of the kitchen. He walks upstairs and goes to his bedroom. Yoichi lays down on the bed, covers himself with his blanket, and closes his eyes. 30 minutes later Yoichi falls asleep.
