It was a normal day as the alarm goes, as a hand slam through the time, Sonic got up seeing the time.
‘7:00 huh that early’, Sonic thought as he spot a note stand up the bed picked up the letter?
‘Dear Sonic just want to let you know I’m away for a while and might return at night time do take care the kids consider a special day love your wife’ Sonic sigh.
Hearing the door open as Sonic turned, saw it empty, which made Sonic confused, two thirteen year old speeds came around his room “MORNING DAD,” a boy with blue fur and green eyes said, and a girl with purple fur and green eye stand in front of him “MORNING DAD HAPPY—”, “Alaina don’t.” Alaina realizes as she blinks “oh didn’t know Brendon”, “what's special today” Sonic ask??
Alaina and Brendon flinch saw Sonic standing confused “uhh…” “were going to spend time with our cool dad today isn’t it?” Alaina said which made Brendon nod.
Sonic blinked his eyes, “where's your mom” Sonic questions “she left a note in the fridge” Brendon said as Sonic went to the kitchen, saw a note written “I’ll be out in while there breakfast inside just to heat up and hungry in dinner are inside the stove don’t spoil” Sonic read as open the fridge and saw...
“What's inside dad” Brendon ask as Sonic show plate of pancakes “guess pancakes it is” Sonic said “and look dad.”
Alaina point as Sonic saw bowl of chocolate chips, maple syrup, and blueberries made Sonic surprise “do you know what this means” Brendon said “crazy pancakes YEAH” Alaina cheer.
Sonic smile “I am now King of the House and I say crazy pancakes it is” Sonic said hearing the twins cheer.
After Breakfast
Sonic got off stretching outside the house “ugh Brend are you going outside with no shirt on.” Sonic turn saw Alaina wearing light blue shirt with white skirt wearing similar shoes like her mom “I put shoes doesn’t count” Brendon point shoes similar to his dad.
“Well mom would kill you” Alaina said “well mom's not here” Brendon snap, as Alaina and Brendon glare Sonic thought “why not let Brendon off his clothes for once” Sonic said made Alaina and Brendon look confused “but dad mom rules—” “your mom is away right now and I’m now King of House and let Brendon live on his own” Sonic said made Brendon smile.
“All right, dad rules” Brendon throw his fist away “whatever but don’t come crying feeling cold” Alaina said “since mom isn’t here what are going to do dad” Brendon ask as Sonic thought.
“Hmm not sure of it actually” Sonic thought as Alaina thought “we could hang out in the beach if that all right” Alaina thought made Sonic blink “that's good too sis what do you think dad can we go to the beach” Brendon ask?
Sonic blink see the twins glow green eyes as pleading as Sonic sigh “fine but it not a beach party okay” Sonic said heard the twins cheer made Sonic smile.
‘Let just hope no waves are coming near the shore’ Sonic panic.
Alaina and Brendon kneel down made Sonic realize “last one would buy chili-dogs” Alaina said made Sonic smirk “now your talking” Sonic said “on count of three…” Brendon said “3…2…1…GO” Sonic, Alaina, and Brendon went for a run.
After While
It was now sunset as Sonic, Alaina, and Brendon walking in the beach with Alaina groan “can’t believe you two actually won, you cheated!!” Alaina said as Sonic and Brendon eating chili-dogs “you were slow poke” Brendon having bite “and you can’t beat me I’m the fastest one alive” Sonic smirk but saw Alaina mumble “you okay” Sonic ask as Alaina flinch “uhh no dad nothing” Alaina said made Sonic confused “say dad if anyone ask what your favorite adventures of all time” Brendon ask as Sonic thought “huh not sure if I have a favorite…I’m not sure which one” Sonic thought.
“What do you mean all these adventures sound cool there like the time you had battles, met Uncle Shadow and became rival, got the secret ring, turn to Werehog, become black knight, saving Wisps from Eggman, had battle in Deadly Six and with Uncle Tails and Uncle Knuckles with riding with Babylon Rogues, and even had a nightmare through Metal Virus, and went to shatter universe…” “the list goes on but we get it” Brendon swallow his last bite.
Sonic blink look down “something wrong dad” Brendon ask as Sonic look at him scratching his quills “nothing wrong buddy just those adventures has been a long time to me” Sonic smile “oh dad what was your favorite one please tell please tell” Alaina ask?
Sonic smile “well not sure if I have favorite all these adventures been great and daring the times before” Sonic smile “I bet your favorite challenge was The End can’t imagine if Eggman had solo battle by himself instead of teaming with you, and the others” Brendon thought made Sonic confused “who told you about that” Sonic ask??
“Oh mom told us she even told your adventures as bed time story” Alaina said as Sonic burst out laugh removing a tear “your mom like doing that doesn’t she” Sonic smile.
Sonic looked at the shore balance the moon made Sonic give warm smile, Alaina and Brendon confused on Sonic looking at the moon “is something wrong dad” Alaina asked made Sonic scratch back of his quills “you see this isn’t my first time coming at this beach” Sonic said made Alaina and Brendon confused?
“Really” Alaina and Brendon said “yeah few years ago when your mom and I were young adults your mom invited me to this place at noon” Sonic said as Alaina and Brendon look each other smile “what was it” Alaina ask as Sonic sigh “it was few years ago when your mom told me to come here…” Sonic begin to explain.
Flashback
Sonic was running seeing the beach trying to avoid touching water saw familiar pink hedgehog waving.
Sonic smile running towards her “hey Ames you called” Sonic ask as Amy show basket of chili-dogs “HAPPY BIRTHDAY SONIC” Amy cheer made Sonic blink “really its my birthday” Sonic surprise “don’t tell me you don’t remember your own birthday silly” Amy smile. Sonic begin to eat his chili-dogs “well whatever you say” Sonic said he saw blue cupcake with candles on top “make a wish” Amy smile as Sonic eat the chili-dogs begin to blow as after taking bite on cupcake.
Amy show blue present made Sonic blink “you brought me a gift how did you do that” Sonic ask “it a secret” Amy wink as Sonic open the gift saw picture frame of their friends made Sonic gasp “I thought you like to keep things as memory” Amy smile as Sonic give Amy hug.
“Thanks Ames” Sonic said as Amy hug back “just wanna say happy birthday Sonic I love you” Amy smile as Sonic kissed Amy cheeks, which made her surprise “I know Ames” Sonic begin to eat his chili-dogs “well we could go to to visit Tails workshop everyone is waiting for the final surprise” Amy smile as Sonic pick the things carry Amy “then let not waste any time” Sonic said begin to run.
End of Flashback
Sonic smile at the memory as he sigh “you see even you think your mom and I don’t have eye to eye but I deeply care about her…?”
Sonic stop realize the twins gone only finding paper in the ground picked up and read.
“We're at home” Sonic hold the paper as he begin to run open the door seeing pitch black “all right you two if you think a prank because your mom isn’t here then guess—” the light open made Sonic stop “SURPRISE” Sonic saw Amy with braided quills and casual dress with Tails with his brown gloves and goggles in his head.
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY SONIC/DAD” Amy, Tails, Alaina, and Brendon cheer made Sonic stop?
“wait you were planning on my birthday this whole time” Sonic ask speechless as Amy giggle went kiss his cheek “of course dear Tails and I thought give a special surprise on your special day” Amy smile.
“And if your wondering how we know the beach mom told us the place” Brendon said “and Uncle Tails told us talking with your memory would distract you too” Alaina said brought blue cake with candles light up.
“Do they” Sonic look at Amy and Tails who whistle as Amy clear her throat “make a wish dear” Amy change the subject as Sonic smile blow his handles see frosting “HAPPY 33 BIRTHDAY” made Sonic blink.
“Can’t believe how time does flies” Sonic said “of course but we kept the good and bad memories as life we grow” Amy said as Sonic smile.
“Say where the others they don’t leave us like this doesn’t” Sonic ask “oh they know but thought living with the twins until I call them” Tails explain “in the meantime why not we use the extra time to get ready” Amy said as Sonic look at Amy made Tails realize.
“Actually we thought if it all right borrowing the twins riding X-Tornado with me” Tails smirk saw Alaina and Brendon gasp!
“Mom, Dad can we” Brendon ask “please we’ll listen Uncle Tails” Alaina beg as Amy try to speak “sure why not” Sonic came made Amy surprise.
Alaina and Brendon cheer “just listen to Uncle Tails and don’t fall off the plane” Sonic said as the twins left made Tails thumbs up.
The door close made Amy worry “you think it a good idea leaving them in the plane” Amy ask “nah not to worry and beside I think I have a gift somewhere isn’t” Sonic call made Amy froze.
Saw Sonic “oh your gift is with the others thought waiting while the others show up—” “I mean MY gift” Sonic reminded made Amy cheek red as she clear her throat “oh right Happy Birthday dear” Sonic and Amy kiss as Sonic begin to carry Amy made her confused “uhh Sonic…” “consider this returning the favor I do enjoy the times with twins but you have no idea handling two in one time” Sonic said.
Amy roll her eyes “well I think it nice to spend time with twins around and I only left so you can enjoy” Amy said.
Sonic begin to leave the house “well can't I spend time with my wife today” Sonic said made Amy giggle.
“Your hopeless aren’t you” Amy said “and you love that” Sonic smile as Amy sigh but then realize.
“Wait aren’t you going to wait for the others they might come any time” Amy said made Sonic smirk “well with Tails with the twins time would be extra for us” Sonic said “and what do you suggest” Amy question?
“Thought little run consider a memory lane from our adventures” Sonic said made Amy sigh in defeat “well don’t hope your on time” Amy said “not to worry and beside I’m the Fastest Thing Alive” Sonic begin to run.
