Summary
Yet again, Amy is left behind by Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails as they pursue Metal Sonic. Disappointed and hurt, Amy decides to turn to her fortune cards for guidance. The feedback she interprets isn't something she expected to receive, but she's willing to give it a try - especially after her friends encourage it too.
However, when the plan fails dramatically, Amy begins to experience problems she had forgotten could happen to people her age, resulting in her questioning the cards, her friends, and her own judgement. All the confidence she once had is suddenly disturbed and in its stead remains a sickly feeling of insecurity.
This is set in the Classic Sonic universe. I feel like the classic characters would be more vulnerable to bullying and the other various topics discussed or hinted at in this fic, since they are often speculated to be younger versions of their modern selves. Especially in characters like Amy, who, while cheerful and expressive, still feels like she has to prove her worth to fit in with her super-powered friends.
I feel bad subjecting classic Amy's character to a topic like this; she's so happy and silly. I love herr.
