    Aether has been away in Fontaine too long and Xiao misses him, especially after Aether's indecent promise to stay in Liyue once he returned so he and Xiao could be together as long as they wanted.

    Xiao's patience explodes when Aether returns and doesn't visit Xiao to fulfill his promise, and instead goes to visit other people before the yaksha, being shameless about it knowing that Xiao was watching him.

    All of Xiao's emotions explode once he and Aether have a moment alone at the Wangshu Inn.

    Xiao is desperate and Aether is willing to take advantage of it.
