Work Text:
Niagara Falls. The Grand Canyon. New York City. Alice took photos of beautiful places, bustling cities and chattering national parks. All of it was so big, grander than she could ever consider. The camera captured what she couldn’t process herself and made it understandable.
None of these landscapes came close to the most enchanting thing she had ever seen.
Deb was more of a work of art than the rivers or the buildings that covered the earth. The creases in her smile, the chip in her tooth, the sparkle in her eye were all more breathtaking than a thousand pictures.
