Summary
Candace had persuaded Dehya and Dunyarzad to stay in Aaru village for a few more nights, but even that idyllic respite must inevitably end. On their final day together, the Guardian leads them to a nearby oasis. As they bask in the cooling waters, they all sense that their individual journeys would soon diverge once more. However, Dunyarzad finds the courage to forge the final bond that would unity all three in love and lust alike, and with it, suggest a fleeting possibility that might inseparably keep them together.
