Work Text:
Sisyphus pushes,
His boulder up the mountain,
But gravity pulls.
Tantalus reaches
But when he almost gets it.
It's further away.
Sisyphus standing
On to of his hill now has
A long walk back down.
Tantalus watches
The pool at his feet dreading
That it's a mirage
Sisyphus is back
In his starting position
With nothing achieved
Tantalus wonders
What Elysium is like
But he'll never know.
Do they remember
The sin that they were damned for?
Their torment goes on.
Thousands of years pass,
And they both are still chained there
Has justice been done?
And Hades stands guard
For eternity onward
A prisoner too.
