Chapter Text
On a cold fall day Sebastian woke up pretty early, even surprising himself, he got ready and started work on his computer around 11AM. Seb just couldn't focus on his work no matter how hard he tried, so around 1PM Seb went to get some coffee and food "Well you're here early." Demetrius commented, he knew Sebastian got up earlier than three but never seen him out before then. "Can't focus on work, getting a snack." Seb didn't want to talk so he kept it short, but Demetrius just couldn't let it go. "Yeah, 'work'. " Sebastian whipped his around at the comment. "What's that supposed to mean?" Sebastian was already frustrated but now he started to get angry. "Playing games on a computer isnt actual work, Sebastian. You're younger sister is working at a clinic, while you play games in your room all day and go out only for food and smoke breaks, do you know how immature that is?" That made Sebastian's blood boil and it only escalated from there, after about an hour of Sebastian and Demetrius fighting, Robin and Maru successfully separated them but that only led to Sebastian storming out of the house.
Sebastian passed quite a few people in the town, Lewis gave him and odd look, Jodi and Caroline were surprised, Penny, Vincent and Jas watched him, but only Abigail and Sam tried to talk to him, he wasn't paying attention but it seems like they knew he was angry and were trying to calm him down. "Just leave me alone for a bit, please guys." Seb slightly pleaded, he didn't want to snap at his friend's just because he was angry at his stepdad. "Ok." That word from Sam was the only thing he heard either of them say clearly.
He arrived at the beach around in 3, Sebastian didn't even bother looking at the time, he planned to stay out there all night if it meant he didn't have to see Demetrius again that day. a couple minutes later a door opened, Seb looked around to find the new person in town everyone was talking about, a redhead he's seen at the Stardrop Saloon a couple times, Elliott was his name if he remembered correctly. Elliott seemed to immediately notice someone was under the trees and went to investigate. "I don't want to talk right now." Sebastian spat out sounding angrier than he intended too. "That's alright, but how about you come inside for at least a couple minutes, it's extremely cold outside for an Autumn day and I don't dont want you catching a cold Sebastian." Sebastian couldn't argue with that, it was really cold even though he was wearing a hoodie and was very resistant to the cold, so he hesitantly stood up and followed the older man to his cabin.
His house was... Pleasant, he wasn't trying to insult the man but the house needed more renovations and decorations. "You can sit on my bed or at the piano if you'd like." Elliott offered. "...Ok." Seb decided it was better to sit at the piano, I mean he just today talked to him, it'd be kinda weird to immediately sit on his bed. Elliott sat at the desk in the corner and started scribbling away at the book in front of him. Seb was curious but kept to himself because he genuinely didn't want to talk right now, so instead he looked at the piano, he kind of knew how to play due to playing a similar instrument in the band, so he gave it a shot. Sebastian started to play Home by Cavetown and was surprised that it actually wasn't all that different, albeit a little more difficult, but he'd get the hang of it, Elliott didn't seemed too bothered it either, in fact he seemed a little more at ease due to the music
4 hours later and after plenty more songs were played Elliott stood up and stretched, leaning over writing for that long can't be easy on the back Seb assumed. "You should probably head home soon if you want to make it back at a decent time, theres still daylight right now." Elliott was met with silence, he looked over to find the grin Seb had replaced with a scowl. "Or you can stay here if you don't think you'll make it back at a decent time, I can make a pretty good bed on the floor." Elliott knew the signs of a fight with family members, he had several himself before moving to Pelican Town. "Are you sure? I might be upset but I don't want to cause you trouble. Contrary to popular belief my mom did raise me to have manners." Seb chuckled at the last part, which also made Elliott laugh. "Of course it's alright, I offered didn't I?" "Yeah, you did." "So let's make you a bed!"
