Chapter Text
Greyscaling…
Once Goggles heard the definition of it he was stunned to say the less.It was a similar thing to sanitation, losing your free will, being nothing but a mindless husk of who you once were.
It was awful; Had Goggles experienced sanitation before? No, no he hadn’t, but he had listened to Riders explanation of being partially sanitized, and that already sounded awful.
Rider… it’d been awhile since they last saw each other…
Last time they saw each other in person was when Goggles was Moving out of Inkopolis. Then it was late nights talking on the phone, till life caught up with goggles and he had other things to worry about, like the Hierarchy situation. Or simply just unpacking in general.
Life was unfair though, once he tried to go and see him and the other in Inkopolis square and see what the issue was, he was pulled into the Memverse simulation. Goggles still didn't know how he got into a simulation trough going on a train ride in the first place.
“-Goggles,Specs, and I went through the metro together it’ll be similar to that right?”
“What?” Goggles blurted out. “Sorry I kinda zoned out haha” he rubbed the back of his head putting the oh so good facade of idiocy.
“Goggles, your such an Idiot sometimes” Specs said rolling his robotic eyes
“Haha” he didn’t like being called an Idiot, but he still played the part.
“-Anyways, back to what I was saying, Specs, Goggles, and I have gone through the Deep-Sea Metro, and Order is similar to Tartar- “
Tartar… That robot had nearly brainwashed everyone. Not to mention the massacre of species he’d blended up into the weird mind control goop he was going to use to mind control everyone. Remembering what happened in the metro always left him feeling sick, more or less sick than the one time he ate a rotten pickled plum.
the Continued chatter in the elevator helped him zone out, sometimes joining in the conversation, but he didn’t enjoy it like he usually would.
“Floor 1” Acht announced pulling goggles away from his thoughts, pointing at the open elevator door
Goggles, Hachi, Specs and Pearl, left the elevator on floor one, only to come back a few moments later.
1-6 were cleared with ease, while 7-9 were slightly more difficult but were still doable.
Floor 10, Floor 10 was Asynchronous Rondo, a spiral structure that they had to shoot it’s faces that were stacked on top of each other. It was difficult but they finished it on their first try, (lasting a whopping 10 1/2 minutes) Goggles almost collapsed on the Elevator Floor, sweat tripping from his forehead, and just about panting from exhaustion, he leaned against the elevator wall.
“You guys good?” Marina asked, her brows slightly furrowed, concern written all over her face. “We’re fine!” Goggles replied, cheerful as always.
Goggles zoned out again thinking about his other teammates, we’re they worried?? He hoped they were, then again it would be kind of hard to not be when two of your teammates magically disappeared when you took a train ride to inkopolis square. Wait how did he even get into the simulation through a train ride?? The thoughts continued to pile up on each other.
Beep! Floor 11, the same ol’ situation, complete the task given at the start of the floor, don’t die or you’ll dissent back to floor 1, and get to floor 30. No biggie! Is what Goggles had hoped it would be. 11-19 were difficult but it would be harder if Hachi and Pearl weren’t with him and specs.
“Floor 20, 10 floor left guys” Acht said pressing the next floor button.
The next boss… No problem, or will it be a problem? Goggles had no idea of what it would be. Some giant Jelleton like the last thing probably and if it was like the last boss then this would be a sinch.
Right….?
Ding!
Goggles speculations were about to be confirmed soon enough.
