Work Text:
Tonight in the darkness splattered with light,
The rain fell so softly i thought i just might,
Stand there forever facing the world,
Its glowing faces, its invisible dirt
Take in its beauty, i wonder how long,
the quietest rains take 'til i, too, belong,
To the ground,
in the end,
would everything mend?
When day breaks again, will the world be the same?
I couldn't imagine,
I can't even feign.
I stay wanting for quiet,
I long for more rain.
