    The weak arms, the terrible posturing, the frailty. The waist-high size, the enormous eyes, only made bigger with their continuously apprehensive look. Was it that their eyes were big, or that Tav, generally, was small?
    The way forward wasn’t the place for the weak. That could just as easily mean it was neither for children.

    Or: Tav is a child. That changes everything – and not much at all.
    Watch as a team of full-grown adults are incompetent at parenting! It'll work out – probably.
