Work Text:
The room was full of shelves, and the shelves full of... things. Treasures and horrors were intermingled with no regard for their nature, an ornately carved wooden box next to a skull covered in jewels next to a necklace bearing a hundred opals. Yusuke lifted what appeared to be a lacquered human heart from a small stand; dead roses filled the various holes, a visceral reminder that most of his friends were monsters.
"It's funny," Kurama said, noticing what he held. "That used to be my favorite vase, but I can't even remember anymore whose heart it was."
Funny. Right.
