Chapter Text
Donatello is a turtle of many talents. He takes pride in everything he builds and accomplishes.
Quick footsteps echo through the forest as brown eyes scan the broken trees.
He is never one to back down from a challenge. Once he sets his mind on something there's nothing that can stop him.
He follows the trajectory of the fallen object. He needed to find it before the government did.
His family loved this aspect of him.
He gasped in delight seeing the first imprint on the ground. He quickly dropped a purple marker on the site to keep track.
His friends respected him for it.
He jumps into the trees as whatever object Donatello managed to strike down had crashed down in a gap in the forest.
However…
Off in the distance in a hidden lake, Donatello could make out a large silver aircraft.
One could say Donatello’s weakness is…
He jumped from branches to rocks to ground as he made his approach. He slowly raised his bō staff, holding it in a defensive position. Suddenly a loud hiss rang throughout the forest. The side of the aircraft opened and a large figure stumbled out.
It caught sight of Donatello and tried lunging towards him only for the softshell to jab it with his staff. It let out a loud roar as it swiped the staff out of his hands. Donnie gasped as he fell back and stared with wide eyes as large claws came down towards his face.

“Dinner!” Mikey shouted as he turned the stove off. He hummed to himself as he grabbed plates and set them down on the table for his family.
“Food!” Casey exclaimed as she came running into the kitchen. Following behind her was a winded Junior. “Eat. We can continue your training later.”
“Yes Ma'am.” Junior huffed as he walked over to the sink to wash his hands.
“Smells delicious Mikey.” April praised as he walked in followed by Raph.
“Thanks April!” Mikey beamed as he set the pasta and shrimp dish down.
“Dibs on the silly straw!” Leo yelled as he portaled into the kitchen. As he reached for the straw his hand was whipped by his father's tail. He yelped, holding his hand to his chest as he glared at their father. “Really Dad?”
“One must be swifter than that.” Splinter smirked as he placed the straw into his glass and sipped his cola.
“Alright, dig in everyone!” Mikey announced as he finished setting the table.
As everyone talked animatedly Raph took notice of one missing member.
“Uh… guys?”
“What?” Leo replied with a mouth full of food.
“Where's Donnie?” Raph asked.
“Lab right?” Leo asked as he glanced around the table.
“No. Raph and I were in his lab earlier looking for parts for Casey's bike. I thought he was with you.” April replied as she set her fork down and grabbed her phone to send Donnie a text.
“I was at work.” Leo quickly replied. “Mikey did you see Donnie today?”
“I saw him early in the morning. He was going on about his new telescope and how he found something in the sky.” Mikey severed himself some brussel sprouts and took a bite of his food. “Haven't seen him since.”
Raph hummed in thought. He knew Donnie was prone to lose track of time whenever he was working on something new. Usually his younger brother would text or at least advise ahead of time if he were to be busy. It was just something he did but something seemed off.
“What? Oh come on!” April whined as she sent her phone down.
“What is it?” Junior asked as he looked around in concern.
“I sent seven text messages and he hadn't even opened one of them. Donnie always checks his phone. He's practically never without it!” April explained. She bit the inside of her cheek as she stared at her phone. “You don't think he ran into trouble, right?”
The room fell silent.
If there was one thing Donatello was known for…
“Where…”
It was getting himself in unwanted situations.
“Where am I?”
“You are my prisoner.”
