neil felt fine. perhaps he was too focused on playing and winning this game to be bothered by anything else. his legs trembled because of the crowds impact for sure and the tingling feeling in his stomach was because of excitement. he felt totally fine. and if it wasn’t for the twitch in his eye and slight shake in his fingers, he probably could’ve kept it to himself and played it off as pregame nerves. but neil felt the heavy gaze of hazel eyes on him. eyes that pierced his being through and through, knowing better than to fall for this facade since the very first day their gaze fell upon neil. he knew neil wasn’t fine.

neil 'i’m fine' josten is a big mess due to memories of his past taunting him continuously and he has more difficulties dealing with it than expected. andrew is there for him however and picks him up when he falls down. quite literally.
