Summary
Midway through the match, just as Kageyama prepared to set the ball, Ushijima's eyes scanned the crowd—and there, amidst the sea of people, sat Oikawa.
His heart skipped a beat as he saw Oikawa waving enthusiastically, a mischievous grin on his face. Without a second thought, Ushijima dropped everything—the game momentarily forgotten—as he sprinted towards the stands.
"Ushijima-san! Get back here!" Kageyama's voice rang out across the court, laced with frustration as he watched Ushijima abandon his position.
Ignoring the protests and the bewildered looks from his teammates, Ushijima bounded up the steps towards Oikawa, who was now laughing at the sight of his usually composed boyfriend dashing towards him
"Hey there, ace," Oikawa greeted, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
"You flew all this way just to surprise me?" Ushijima panted, a mix of disbelief and delight on his face.
OR following the months after Ushijima's Argentina trip, Oikawa plans to surprise him.
