Work Text:
With Voldemort gone, and dark magic slowly being purged from Wizarding Britain, Knockturn Alley had undergone a drastic transformation. What was once Cobb & Webb's was now The Lavender Wand, and every Friday night it found itself home to most of the queer Witches in Britain.
Tonight was no different.
Lily leaned against the bar, brushing her hair away from her face. She surveyed the room - the usual crowd, no one she hadn’t seen since she started coming three months ago (a few short weeks after her divorce was finalised).
Then, she spotted a figure she’d never seen before - she knew that, because it wasn’t one she’d easily forget. A flash of blonde hair framing sharp features, a tall frame draped in an elegant gown - far too elegant for the gay village - head held high, and Lily just knew.
Narcissa Black.
She’d always fancied her at school, and she’d heard whispers that she wasn’t the only witch getting divorced, so it seemed like fate.
Quickly ordering two cocktails, she took a deep breath, and approached.
Never one to beat around the bush, she skipped the cheesy pick up line, opting instead for ‘you look incredible.’
Narcissa smirked, and accepted the glass.
