Chapter Text
"I've been ghosting, I've been ghosting along
Ghost in your house, ghost in your arms
When you're tossing, when you turn in your sleep
It's because I'm ghosting your dreams."
A young man stands in his bedroom, the only place he has known for all his life besides the other rooms in his apartment. This is the reason this young man decided to kill himself this morning using his katana, feeling trapped and out of control in his own life was now something he would no longer have to deal with. Well, that of course was not the sole reason for his actions. It's more like an extra benefit, like killing two birds with one stone.
Ok, that's enough fucking around. You are this young man, and you will not be given a name due to the fact that you already have one. Your name is DIRK STRIDER,
One of your best friends, JAKE ENGLISH, has been trying to reach you for a week now. You couldn't risk talking to him, (or any of your friends for that matter) as you know that doing so would have made you back out of your plans, especially if you had talked to your friend ROXY LALONDE. Poor, sweet Roxy. You're not sure how you're going to tell her what you did. You make it a mental note to talk to her last.

TT: Hey.
GT: DIirk!!! There you are!!!
GT: Where in the world have you been?!?! It's been days!?!?
GT: That belligerent bot of yours has quite literally almost beat me to *death* as well!!!
GT: Is everything alright with you bro? You've never been m.i.a for that long before!
TT: I'm sure it wouldn't be a far-fetched assumption if I were to assume that you were being dramatic about what you're saying about brobot.
TT: Also yes, I am alright. More alright than I've ever been, actually.
GT: That's...good to hear?
TT: I don't think you realize just how easy that thing goes on you dude. It's almost fascinating how you always leave it on the least difficult setting and still manage to get your ass beat every time.
GT: Rather bold of you to say such things after basically ghosting me for days.
GT: It's good that you are feeling rather splendid, but that does not answer the question of *where* you have you been?! Apologies if i'm coming off as too inquisitive, but i feel as if it is fairly reasonable being that we haven't talked in ages.
TT: Hm. So, I take it my autoresponder did not attempt to impersonate me?
GT: Oh, he did, *many* times.
GT: I know the difference between you two though, dirk. In a way, i think that he made it obvious that it wasn't actually you just to fuck with me.
TT: Alright. Anyways, to answer your other question, it doesn't really matter being that you'll find out eventually.
GT: Is that so??
TT: More than so, Jake. Look, do you remember how when I first sent you the bot we had that brief conversation of how you wish I could come and visit you sometime myself?
GT: Yes, i do recall that. What makes you bring it up though?
TT: Because I'm coming over to visit, right now.
GT: Bro. This is our first conversation after not talking for days, and it's *now* you choose to mess with me?! God, Dirk!!!
TT: I'm not messing with you.
GT: ...So, you're serious?! We're actually gonna be able to meet, like in person?!
TT: Yes, Jake. I'm not being ironic, I mean what I'm saying.
GT: Well, what makes you decide to visit now of all times? Not that i have a problem with it! I'm just curious about the circumstances that make it where you are available to come now and not sooner than this.
> Become Jake.
You are now JAKE ENGLISH.
You are currently laying down on your bed, waiting for one of your best friends DIRK STRIDER to respond to your message.
You are feeling rather excited right now knowing that somehow, for the first time ever, you guys are going to get to meet up.
You also feel nervous. And a little bit self-conscious.
You don't exactly look your best right now due to your recent long duel with Brobot. Neither does your room. God, that robot sure knows how to fight. You're sure that you have time to clean up both yourself and your room before he arrives though.
TT: Doesn't matter. I'm already there.
Jake stared at the message in confusion before replying. Something about the message felt...off. Which was weird, since Dirk talked like that all the time. Still, it sent a chill down your spine, one that made it hard to breathe but was eerily enticing and comforting all at once.
GT: What do you mean you're already here?!
Dirk: Dude. You look like shit.
Feeling a sudden pit in his stomach at the sound of the sudden voice, Jake had a sudden instinct to look up, so he did. There stood Dirk, hovering over him in his translucent form. He had severe scars at the neck, which was especially easy to see with the way he was hovering above Jake. Jake could feel the intensity of Dirks's eye contact through the Strider's shades, as if his beautiful sunset eyes were piercing his body and entire soul. Needless to say, he looked devastatingly beautiful, like a fallen angel that had fallen from grace. He was now merely a parasite, and would now use Jake as his beloved host.
