Summary
Soap knew he was down bad. ‘Down bad’ meaning he would physically kiss the ground Gaz walked on if he was instructed to. Gaz was his everything, the moon to his sunshine, the spark to his fire, the fitting puzzle piece. It’s cringy, he knows. Every time he got those random ass sappy thoughts he had to manually push them out of his mind. God, when did he get so soft?
Either way, Soap wasn’t allowed to have the other sergeant. It was protocol not to date any of the other soldiers. The main reason being if a break up happened, they wouldn’t be able to cooperate the way they used to. But, hell, did Soap want to break that rule. He broke himself free from his thoughts. Dammit. He needed to pull himself together and focus on his own work out. He had been staring at Gaz doing squats for the past 30 minutes now.
This was bad and Soap knew it. He couldn’t love his fucking teammate. That didn’t stop him from it, though.
