Summary
On the surface it was one of those jobs that you shouldn’t bat an eye at. But the customer was the Overlord Valentino himself. It wasn’t abnormal for Overlords to forgo their own rules and smuggle whatever they want past the borders and off the record, but they had personal smugglers on their payroll for that. It wasn’t normal to hire a rogue like Husk. He would’ve normally flipped him off and refused the job, but he wasn't at liberty to....the money was too good to pass up anyway.
It wasn’t part of the plan, but things aligned too well. So Angel decided to fuck the plan, and improvise. Since when has anything gone according to plan for him anyway? Maybe it was suicide, but even in all best case scenarios, he couldn’t foresee an escape that didn’t take less than a couple years….and he couldn’t take another day. He took a chance and hopped on the mysterious, rugged, and surly as fuck smuggler’s ship for the chance at freedom, vowing to kill himself before Valentino ever got his hands on him again. The ship was practically falling apart, so if they didn’t explode in the vacuum of space, he’d hop off wherever this piece of crap landed and take the next ship to a galaxy far, far away.
But nothing ever goes his way.
