   Summary

   Finishing the last log, Tommy picks up his canteen and takes a long gulp, his Adam’s apple bobbing up and down. He takes the rest and pours it over his head. It streaks down his glossy black strands and across his broad shoulders, down his muscular back and chest, little droplets catching in the hairs on his tummy.

   He raises his hands, pushes the excess water out of his hair, and shakes his head a little to dislodge the remaining drops. Then he turns and smiles at Maria, and she feels like she’s about to melt right into the cracks between the porch boards.

   “Still there, darlin'?" His mustache twitches as a knowing smile creeps across his lips.

   “House now.” She pants, her eyes burning into him.

   IE: Tommy chops some wood, and Maria gets a little hot under the collar.
