“Din!” Grogu shrieked and Luke realized in a panic that his child just jumped into a stranger’s arms and was very much enjoying it.
Luke tilted his head in concern, his hands itching to have his son back. “I- I'm sorry? Do I know you?”
“I'm one of Cara’s friends, I work here.” The man said in a very thick accent and Luke almost laughed at the audacity.
“She’d been bringing Grogu here almost every day, I apologize, I thought you already knew.”
And Luke did know, that Grogu’s nanny, Cara, had a second job here, that’s why he’d been coming to this restaurant in the first place, to support her from the back, because that’s what good friends do, and there had been a few times when she came out to say hello, but Luke had never seen him!
or, Luke is tired, and this very handsome, attentive and good-with-kids chef just seems like everything he needs right now, and a nap.
