“Sunny?” Kel mumbled.
Sunny looks at Kel, curious as to what he wanted to say.
“Never been one for stars.. but man.. it’s so pretty out tonight.. isn’t it?” Kel grinned, turning his head to the side as he layed down on the picnic mat, his head resting on his arms.
The other nodded, looking back at the stars, Sunny put his hand on his chest, laying down as the bright glow of the stars shined. It was so beautiful, one shone particularly bright, kind of like Mari, how they used to say how she made everyday brighter then usual. He looks away from the star, slightly guilty of the thought of Mari.
Kel had noticed this sudden switch in demeanour as he tried to reassure Sunny,
“Hey Sunny.. don’t worry, alright?” Kel reassures him, “No matter what… I’ll be here, forever.. and always. I’m always here for you, Sunny.”
Sunny’s cheeks felt a little warm, his heart felt complete, this feeling was a little unfamiliar to him though he couldn’t say he disliked it. Sunny felt at ease, as if a burden was taken off his shoulders, just because of Kel’s company.. things have gotten better, much better. He slowly closed his eyes, trying to feel the breeze.. as he drifted slowly.. off to sleep…

“Omori, Omori! Will we go exploring together soon? Just the two of us!” Aubrey smiled, latching onto Omori.
“A-Aubrey, you’re hurting him! And you can’t just take him all to yourself!” Kel shoves her off, clinging onto Omori’s arm.
“You can’t do that Kel! That’s unfair!” Aubrey shouted, as Hero tried to ease the situation.
“Calm down you two, we’re here for a picnic.. not to watch you two argue over Omori.”
Aubrey pouts, crossing her arms as she gives Kel a dirty look,
“Fineee.. I’ll be the mature one here!” She sits next to Omori, leaning her head on Omori’s shoulder.
“Saayyy Omori, do you like mature girls?~” Aubrey giggled, “Because Kel isn’t mature at all.. yaknow..”
“I heard that!” Kel grumbled.
Kel continued to hold onto Omori’s arm, Mari watching the three in the background with Hero, she lets out a small chuckle as she notices Basil whip out his camera to take a picture.
“And done!” Basil smiles proudly, “You all look so adorable in this photo!” He looks at the picture, as Aubrey gets up running to look at the picture, she smiles in excitement, loving the photo.
Kel stayed with Omori, “Thank goodness..” He muttered to himself, “She’s such a handful, right Omori?” He teased.
Omori looked at him with a slight nod, Aubrey heard this and shouted at Kel about him purposefully insulting her in front of Omori.
Hero, Mari and Basil all laugh as they watch the two argue, somethings never change, do they?
Nothing…
Changed…
Right?
…
“Sunny?”
“Sunny..”
“Sunny!”
Sunny opens his eyes hearing a voice calling out to him.
“Sunny.. y-you scared me there dude!” Kel was right next to him, a little panicked.
Sunny looks back at Kel, a little confused.
“Sunny, you.. you fell asleep suddenly, and you wouldn’t wake up.. man- if you’re tired.. I can walk you back home.” He mutters, still a little shaken up from the encounter.
“..I’ll be fine.” Sunny reassures Kel, as he looked back to the stars, “Let’s stay.. a bit longer.”
Kel nodded, as he went back to his original position, but this time Sunny stuck his hand out, turning his head to Kel’s side, Kel noticed this, slightly flustered but he chose to accept the other’s proposal, and held Sunny’s hand. The two’s intertwined fingers, inseparable, for the moon, can’t function without its sun.
Even though things have changed.. it was for the better, things will become better, and Sunny had to trust in Kel. As should Kel trust in Sunny, for that’s what matters most.
