Chapter Text
Rumble!
The ground started to shake as the screen in front of the participants glitched in and out of place.
‘These damn gods! Can’t they do anything right?’
Cale fell to the floor as his chair crumbled into dust.
Alberu slipped and slid until he reached Choi Han, who has just grabbed Cale.
“Do you have any idea what might’ve caused this, dongsaeng?”
Cale shook his head, “I’m not sure, your highness. Perhaps the two gods angered someone with more authority.”
As he said so, Cale’s group started to surround him, with Eruhaben holding two of the children in his arms.
Mary spoke, “Young master, is everyone here?”
Cale nodded. All of his allies in the room, including the Half Blood dragon, were presently standing on a chunk of undamaged ground.
“Human! I heard a voice just now! It was telling us that we don’t belong here!”
“…Is that true?”
Alberu looked at the new face.
“White Star.”
“Crown Prince of the Roan Kingdom. We don’t have time to argue here. Same as you, I don’t know how this happened. But I know we all need to escape.
“As for the vampires and Cale Henituse…I will deal with them later.”
Raon puffed up in anger, “You won’t touch our human, you bastard of a White Star!”
Cale looked at Raon, one calm face amongst a sea of panicked humans and dark creatures alike.
“Raon, just leave the f*cker behind when we teleport.”
“Alright human!”
And with that, Cale’s party was the first to leave, the ground that they had stood under quickly falling into the endless abyss below.
“Sigh. I guess I should’ve acted more pitiful.”
The White Star walked over to his group. Astonishingly, the ground around his allies was still intact, minus a few minor cracks.
As soon as he managed to calm the last few nobles that had failed to come to the makeshift circle the Lion King and Bear King had formed, he stepped in the circle.
A bright flash of light circled the large party before teleporting them to their designated locations before all this had occurred.
When the room sensed that it was free of participants, the two gods present were whisked back to where they were, and transparent puppet string left their bodies.
Only then did the last pieces of the room finally fall into the never ending void below.
“Human…were we doing something just now?”
“Of course,” Cale said, while eating the cookies the White Star had sent over. “We’re infiltrating the White Star’s kingdom.”
Raon shook his head, “That’s weird, I feel like I forgot something very important!”
Cale pat Raon’s invisible head, “I’m sure you’ll remember it soon.”
And so, things went back to how they were before. Cale and his allies went back to counterattacking the White Star, and the White Star was back to planning against Cale.
Though, no one noticed wisps of memories escaping slowly beneath their shadows.
