INFO CHAPTER
It’s hard to say how Georgie Barker landed the role of archivist. She made friends and work acquaintances fairly quickly, but mostly kept to herself.
Though, that’s not entirely true.
Reading statements is fine. She enjoys that, actually. It’s something that interests her, to learn more about others past experiences with the paranormal. Georgie has always had a bit of a knack for all things paranormal. Her friend from college, Jon, also had a knack for the paranormal. Though he’s…skeptical. Very skeptical.
He has a whole ass podcast dedicated to paranormal stuff, but whenever he turns the podcast off, he thinks to himself about how much of a good story that is.
So whenever he met Melanie King, who runs “Ghost Hunt UK,” it’s safe to say he was…more annoyed than you would have thought.
“And she was talking about needing someone to help with the audio? I’m not sure. I wasn’t fully listening.”
Jon had explained to Georgie. They like to hang out occasionally- though never outside their own houses.
“Hm. I’ve heard of her. I’ve watched a few episodes of that show, but never really gotten into it. Seems more staged than I’d care to admit.”
Georgie had never actually met Melanie. And she had to interest in ever meeting her. Jon talks about her all the time. About how annoying she is, how all that blue boxed hair dye is finally causing brain damage; Jon is a bit of a gossiper. Which is ironic, because he is not the type to gossip. Maybe it’s just because he doesn’t have friends. He needs some sunshine person to come sweep him off his feet. Reminds Georgie of her Martin, a guy who also works at the Magnus Institute. But Georgie doesn’t talk about her work to anyone- she has standards.
