Work Text:
This summer, Yuuji Itadori enrolled in Jujutsu High School.
This prestigious institution was known for its rigorous training of elite sorcerers. Its strict, military-like management system produced countless renowned figures in the world of sorcery, with some even becoming essential pillars of the community.
However, Jujutsu High School faced criticism for one particular practice: it only accepted alphas and exceptionally talented betas. Even then, the number of betas admitted was minuscule, as the school’s upper echelons often select them reluctantly to appease those advocating for gender equality. While some of these betas have achieved notable success, their accomplishments pale compared to the prominent alphas who graduated from Jujutsu High School.
As an omega, Yuuji had little hope of attending Jujutsu High School. However, with Yaga Masamichi as the new principal this year, significant changes were made to the school’s regulations. One such change was that S-level alphas would no longer be granted single dorms like other high-ranking alphas but would instead be grouped into double rooms. This move sent a clear message that special privileges for S-level alphas would be revoked. Naturally, this caused an uproar among the students, including the Gojo young master, who stormed into the principal’s office, demanding what would happen if he went into rut and ended up harming his roommate.
Dealing with an alpha’s rut was no easy task. The alphas viewed their own kind as enemies during this period but were docile as a lamb towards omegas. This behavior becomes more pronounced with higher-ranking alphas. Every time Gojo entered a rut, it was enough to put the entire school on alert; it was almost comical to see the alphas frantically searching for inhibitors to control their strong pheromones or find an imaginary omega to soothe them.
Principal Yaga listened to his concerns and thoughtfully responded, “Then why don’t we assign you a beta roommate?”
Satoru refused to attend classes anymore, feeling he didn’t need a roommate. But Principal Yaga ignored his request and forced a beta student on him. When had the head of the Gojo family ever been treated so unfairly?
Principal Yaga personally visited the Gojo family but was turned away by their staff. They informed him that the head of the family was not in a good mood and was emitting strong pheromones, so it would be wise for him to stay away.
The Gojo family spoke politely, and Principal Yaga replied with equal politeness, “Then please inform him that if he does not return to school within a month, we will have no choice but to expel him from Jujutsu High School.”
After saying that, Yaga returned to school and performed his second feat—
Marked omegas could now enroll in the school.
This move caused quite a stir in the jujutsu world because the school had never before recruited omega students since its establishment. Yaga explained that the marked omegas would not unconsciously release pheromones to attract alphas, and they no longer experienced heat unless around the alphas who had marked them, significantly reducing any risks for recruiting omega students.
Some people thought what he said made sense, while others vehemently opposed it. But Yaga Masamichi ignored them all and implemented the new regulations. As a result, Yuuji saw this as a great opportunity and successfully enrolled in Jujutsu High School as a marked omega.
◇
On a sunny day, Yuuji arrived at the school with his suitcase. Walking through Jujutsu High School, he noticed that everyone passing by was either an alpha or beta. Due to the strict requirements for omega students, only a few dared to sign up and try out for the school’s newly implemented policy. This created a significant gender imbalance within the school: alphas were the majority, followed by betas, and omegas were scarce. After walking most of the day with his suitcase, Yuuji encountered few omegas but many alphas who stared at him with curious eyes and whispered to their companions. He simply pretended not to hear and continued towards his dormitory.
A few days before school started, he received a notice from school staff asking if he would mind living in a room previously occupied by an alpha.
“What?” Yuuji was taken aback, wondering if he had misheard. “A room where an alpha lived?”
“Yes, an alpha used to live there until...” The staff member seemed hesitant to speak and paused for a moment before continuing, “The alpha was dissatisfied with their assigned roommate and stopped coming to school altogether.”
Yuuji opened his mouth in surprise.
They stopped attending school because they were unhappy with their roommate? Wasn’t that too willful?
Before he could fully process the situation, the staff member interrupted his thoughts and said, “In any case, that dormitory is now empty since the previous student will not be returning anytime soon. Although their belongings are still there, it’s unlikely for them to come back before you start living there... If they do happen to return, the school will arrange for you to move to a different dormitory. Is that okay?”
The staff member spoke cautiously, barely audible during the last sentence.
Yuuji pursed his lips, thinking that since the alpha had already moved out and wouldn’t return for a while, he would simply have a new single dormitory. He didn’t care if an alpha, beta, or omega had previously occupied it. Plus, since the staff asked him to stay there, it must have been because there weren’t enough dormitories available. It wasn’t realistic to expect the school to find him an empty one on such short notice. With a soft hum, he reluctantly agreed.
“What? You agree?” The staff member’s face lit up before gesturing hesitantly towards Yuuji. “Does your alpha have any objections?”
Yuuji almost blurted out that he did not have an alpha.
He didn’t mean to deceive anyone, but Jujutsu High School was the only military school of sorcery that recruited omegas. There weren’t many sorcery schools and even fewer that were both sorcery schools and had military management. Yuuj had big dreams for himself. Not only did he want to be an excellent sorcerer, but he also wanted to exercise his will and physique. Jujutsu Military School was undoubtedly the best choice and the school countless people were scrambling to get into. Originally, because of his gender, he was ready to give up this unrealistic idea and apply to other schools that do not restrict gender. However, this year, Jujutsu High School began recruiting omegas, and he happened to be at the age to continue his studies. If he gave up this opportunity and went to another school, he would definitely regret it.
So, even though he wasn’t a marked omega, he still signed up. He thought that as long as he brought enough inhibitors, there wouldn’t be a problem. Besides, Yuuji was different from other omegas. His pheromones were naturally weak, and one couldn’t smell them unless they smelled him carefully.
When he was in a regular school before, very few alphas could smell his pheromones. If he wasn’t wearing a bite-proof collar, many people would mistake his gender for an alpha. In addition, there was another reason why Yuuji felt like he didn’t have to worry - Jujutsu High School was a military school with strict requirements and management for students. There shouldn’t be any alpha who would risk being expelled just to hook up with a taken omega.
Yuuji dragged his suitcase to the dormitory and packed his things first before beginning to put away the items left by Alpha in the locker.
The alpha had left behind a lot of stuff, and it was hardly organized, which made Yuuji suspect that he would open the dormitory door at any moment and find the alpha there. But the staff had assured him that the alpha wouldn’t be back for a year or two, and even if he suddenly decided to return to school, the school would find a way to arrange another dormitory for him. This made Yuuji Itadori completely relieved, and he agreed to move in.
The dormitories at Jujutsu High School had two people per room, with separate beds rather than bunk beds. Yuuji spread his bedding on the other empty bed before glancing over at the alpha’s bed.
The bed was still neatly covered with sheets, blankets, and pillows, including a particularly large cat pillow on top. The white pillow looked new and felt incredibly soft from afar. He walked over curiously and pressed down on the pillow with his hand, only to feel it sink softly under his touch. Startled, he quickly withdrew his hand as if electrocuted before carefully restoring the pillow to its original state.
But...would an alpha really like such cute things?
It was a shame that Alpha wasn’t attending school; otherwise, Yuuji would have loved to see what an alpha who liked such cute things looked like.
With that thought in mind, Yuuji placed the empty box on top of the cabinet and went out to handle various admission procedures.
The admission procedures for Jujutsu High School were simple. It was still early when Yuuji returned to the dormitory after completing the procedures. He made a video call to his grandfather, but his grandfather hung up without hesitation and ordered him to go to bed early. Yuuji had no choice but to agree and went to bed obediently.
Perhaps because he was exhausted from rushing from Sendai to Tokyo, he slept soundly. When his cell phone alarm rang in the morning, he was still a little dazed. He reached out his hand to turn off the alarm but instead touched another person’s hand.
At first, Yuuji didn’t react. But when he finally did, there was a buzzing in his head as his body involuntarily sat up. He opened his eyes and saw an uninvited guest beside his bed— a white-haired, blue-eyed alpha.
The alpha in front of him looked exactly like the cat pillow on the bed, leading Yuuji to suspect that the pillow was customized to resemble him. Even their cold and impatient expressions were identical. The alpha squatted beside Yuuji’s bed with his hands casually on the edge, staring at him with unblinking beautiful eyes as if unaware of how offensive their behavior was. Yuuji couldn’t bear someone looking at him while he slept and shuddered all over.
Satoru saw the omega sit up and frowned. Then he asked in a cold tone, “Are you awake?”
Yuuji nodded, then swallowed before responding firmly, “You’re the alpha who used to live here.”
“Oh? You knew?” Satoru looked surprised for a moment before quickly masking it with confidence as he said, “Never mind that. Since I’m back, you can move out of the room.”
Yuuji’s eyes widened in disbelief.
The school staff told him they would arrange another dormitory if the alpha returned. But the alpha’s tone was too arrogant, wasn’t it?
Yuuji held his anger in and addressed him calmly: “Senpai... The school staff arranged for me to live here. They said you wouldn’t return to school for at least a year or two. They were supposed to contact me about moving out when you did, but they haven’t yet. Even if I wanted to move out, I didn’t have a place to go, and it would take me time to pack. How can you expect me to leave like this?”
Gojo Satoru was silent. He remained quiet not because Yuuji had persuaded him but because no one had dared to challenge him in person for a long time. Satoru was accustomed to being the sole authority, and this was the first time an Omega had lectured him. This feeling…
It was quite fresh.
Yuuji confronted him for a while, and seeing that he didn’t respond, he thought that perhaps he also realized his actions were inappropriate. His anger subsided: “I’ll go to class first. If you want to discuss anything, we can talk when I come back.”
“You don’t want to move out, so do you still want to live here?” Satoru suddenly asked, finally showing some emotion. “Does your Alpha know you want to live in a dormitory with other Alphas?”
This guy...
He doesn’t even realize his mistake!
Yuuji glared at him angrily, feeling his anger flare up again: “Yes, I want to live here. Since you’ve already dropped out of school, this dorm shouldn’t be reserved for you. You should be the one moving out!”
Satoru laughed at the Omega’s lack of understanding: “Alright then, we’ll live together.”
Ignoring him, Yuuji threw off his blanket and got out of bed to wash up before heading to class without looking back.
He thought the Alpha was just joking. After all, even a marked Omega wouldn’t live with another Alpha so casually. But he underestimated Gojo Satoru’s ability to follow through on his words. He didn’t know what Satoru had said or promised the school, but they had agreed to let them live together.
Upon hearing the news, Yuuji immediately approached Satoru and demanded to know what he had said to the school to make them agree to such a nonsensical request.
“Just told them the truth,” Satoru replied, glancing at him casually. Due to their argument earlier that morning, his tone towards Yuuji was still cold.
“I told them you were a marked Omega and had no reaction to the pheromones of other Alphas. And I, as an S-level with the strongest self-control, can guarantee nothing will happen unexpectedly. If I do attack you, I’ll accept any disciplinary punishment, even if it means expulsion. The school asked if you agreed, and I said you did. You told me this yourself, didn’t you? You wouldn’t deny it.”
Yuuji was speechless.
His angry words had become a bargaining chip for the Alpha to use against him.
Seeing his suspicious expression, a victorious smile appeared on Satoru’s lips. He leaned close to the Omega, tauntingly asking: “Why? Are you afraid? Or is there a secret you don’t want me to know, Yuuji?”
It had come true.
If Gojo Satoru discovered he was an unmarked Omega, the lightest consequence would be expulsion. He had finally made it into Jujutsu High School and didn’t want to reveal his identity so soon. But if he now rejected living with Satoru, it would seem too calculated and raise suspicions. It was better to take things one step at a time and minimize contact with the Alpha.
With this in mind, Yuuji clenched his fists, held his head high, and said: “No problem, I’ll seek your guidance in the future.”
For a moment, Satoru was stunned.
Without another word, Yuuji walked past him.
◇
That night, Satoru invited his classmates to the school cafe to vent about his frustrations.
“Listen to me…” Satoru said as he ordered an alcoholic drink for the first time and took a bitter sip before complaining with a disgusted expression,
“I just wanted to scare that omega into moving out. I didn’t actually tell the school anything. They asked me to move out this morning, even though it was originally my dormitory. And didn’t Principal Yaga ask me to come back within a month? How did it get out that I would be taking a one or two-year leave?”
Suguru took a sip of tea and said slowly, “Well, no one knows what Principal Yaga said... Looking at your posture then, it really seemed like you would be gone for a year or two. But this wasn’t the reason you made up a bunch of nonsense to tell the junior that the school has agreed to let you live together, right?”
“There’s nothing I can do.” Satoru ruffled his hair, “How do I know he won’t move out even if this happens?”
“It seems like you’re really going to live with an omega,” Shoko said without showing any sign of worry for her classmate.
Satoru’s expression suddenly changed: ”No!“
“It’s too late to say no now.” Suguru patted his shoulder, “Accept the reality, Satoru, and always remind yourself that he is a marked omega. Don’t do anything aggressive towards him. A marked omega won’t emit pheromones unconsciously and will only go into heat around their alpha. So don’t worry, the rest is up to you.”
Satoru whined and took another swig of his alcoholic beverage.
By the time he was walking back to the dormitory, his mind was not very clear. He had a very low alcohol tolerance. Although he was an adult, he rarely drank. If he hadn’t wanted to drown his sorrows in alcohol today, he wouldn’t have drunk so many alcoholic beverages. As a result, he was staggering even when walking. It took him 20 minutes to walk to the dormitory, which usually took 10 minutes. When opening the dormitory door, he couldn’t find the right key for the keyhole, so he got frustrated and used excessive force to push it open.
Unexpectedly, there seemed to be no one in the dorm.
Gojo Satoru felt a little strange. Even though he was pretty drunk, he still remembered that he had a roommate.
Where could he have gone at this late hour?
The thought quickly vanished from his mind as he suddenly felt the urge to vomit.
Rushing towards the bathroom door in his dorm, Satoru found himself unable to turn the doorknob, no matter how hard he tried.
Growing anxious, he knocked on the door and shouted, ”Yuuji Itadori, are you in there? Open up! I need to use the bathroom!“
”Wait... wait a minute!“ Yuuji’s voice was shaky and filled with panic.
Satoru didn’t have the patience to analyze the reason for his panic because he couldn’t bear it any longer.
He kicked open the door in front of him and saw Yuuji turning his head hurriedly, staring at him with moist and confused amber eyes.
Satoru belatedly noticed the excessive concentration of pheromones in the bathroom. The omega still emitted cold air, and water droplets dripped from his hair. It was clear that he had just taken a cold shower.
The pheromone levels were alarmingly high, and he had taken a cold shower in not particularly hot weather… Satoru was now mostly sober. He frowned at the embarrassed omega before him, noticing that the blush on his face had completely faded due to his sudden intrusion. His face was also a bit place, as though his secret had been exposed.
He approached the omega slowly, causing him to subconsciously take a step back, like a little tiger sensing danger from its predator. Standing close by, Satoru spoke firmly, ”You’ve never been marked before, have you?“
Once marked by an alpha, an omega will no longer go into heat unless they are near their mate. Their pheromones will have a fatal attraction to each other, and they will be immune to the pheromones of other alphas.
Therefore, since Yuuji was currently experiencing his heat without an alpha present, it could only mean one thing— he has never been marked before.
Although Satoru was now fully sober, he still felt like he needed to vomit. After speaking, he pushed Yuuji way, who stood frozen and confused then rushed to the toilet, where he proceeded to vomit violently. Yuuji hesitated between leaving and staying but ultimately chose to stay and comfort Satoru by patting his back. After vomiting for what seemed like forever, Satoru finally stopped and flushed the toilet before quickly heading to the sink to wash his face. The shock of the cold water and the realization that his roommate was an unmarked omega caused all traces of drunkenness to disappear. Unable to stand the taste of vomit in his mouth, he carefully rinsed it out before turning to face Yuuji.
By now, Yuuji had calmed down from his initial panic. He pursed his lips and looked at the now sober alpha in front of him before softly saying, ”Yes, I am an unmarked omega. Please, don’t tell anyone.“
Satoru’s usual response would be to outright refuse and then taunt Yuuji, saying something like, ”You were so stubborn before, refusing to move out of the dorms. But now that I know your secret, you’ll have to beg me.“ However, when he saw the seriousness in Yuuji’s eyes mixed with a hint of pleading, he found himself at a loss for words.
Damn it, do omegas possess some kind of magical power that makes alphas soften towards them?
”Senpai,“ Yuuji continued, ”I want to stay here. Please mark me temporarily.“
With that, Yuuji opened his collar to reveal the tender and unmarked glands of an omega. Satoru couldn’t help but trace his fingers over them occasionally. As an alpha, there was a natural urge to mark and claim what belonged to him.
But then he remembered— maybe he should report Yuuji to the principal. Even with Yaga Masamichi’s reforms in Jujutsu High School, it was still a military academy with strict rules. Not only was Yuuji an omega, but an unmarked one who could go into heat at any time.
Temporarily marking an unmarked omega was considered harboring, and if discovered, both parties could be expelled from school.
If it was found out that an unmarked omega had snuck into the school and been harbored by another student, the consequences would be even more severe.
Satoru placed a hand on Yuuji’s shoulder and gently circled his glands with his fingers, lost in thought.
Finally, he said, “Okay, I’ll help you this time.”
The temporary marking of an omega by an alpha was simple and did not require overly intimate physical contact or even long-term injection of pheromones; just a brief bite would do.
But even so, Yuuji had never been temporarily marked by an alpha. He held his breath and waited for the alpha to approach. He felt the alpha’s breath spraying on the glands on the back of his neck, bringing a tingling heat. His nerves couldn’t help but tense up, and his breathing became heavy. Gojo Satoru seemed to have noticed his nervousness and couldn’t help but chuckle and ask, “Why? Are you scared now?”
Yuuji shook his head and urged him, “Hurry up.”
He couldn’t stand this kind of ambiguous teasing.
However, the alpha understood Yuuji’s words differently. His pale blue eyes darkened, and then he pressed the back of the omega’s head with his hand and bit towards his tender gland without hesitation.
The temporary mark did not require the injection of one’s pheromones, so it only lasted for a short time, but it was enough to cause Yuuji pain.
After Satoru made the temporary mark, he let him go. The omega quickly put his collar back up to cover the shallow teeth marks on his gland. Satoru did not stop him and smiled at him, saying, “Now we are accomplices.”
◇
Because of the temporary mark between them, Satoru began to like Yuuji much more; at least he was not as hostile as before. This was the first time someone had temporarily marked Yuuji, and it was also Satoru’s first. He felt that no matter if it was a temporary or permanent mark, the people he marked were like prey drawn into his territory. He could bully the prey, but if someone else wanted to covet his prey, he would never let that person succeed.
Yuuji also noticed that his senpai seemed to have no sense of personal space with him recently. Not only did he like to lean on him, he also put his arm around his shoulders from behind and asked what he was talking about with other alpha students in the class.
The alpha speaking to Yuuji had never faced pressure from an S-level alpha before, so he swallowed nervously and stammered, “I... I just…”
“Did I ask you?” Satoru glanced at the other alpha unhappily and stopped him from talking immediately.
Yuuji then said helplessly, “We were discussing this mission. Senpai, do you not have any classes next? Why are you in the first-year classroom?“
“No,” Satoru said. “I just got back from a mission and need to write a report.”
Upon hearing that he had just returned from a mission, Yuuji couldn’t help but look at him with concern and ask, ”Senpai, are you alright? Did you get injured?“
Satoru was stunned.
He wanted to say, “Don’t underestimate me. How could I get hurt while on a mission?” But Yuuji seemed genuinely concerned about him. The alpha turned his head away awkwardly, unintentionally revealing his flushed ears to the omega. “I’m not hurt.”
“That’s good.” Yuuji smiled, “Thank you for your hard work on the mission, senpai. I’ll go buy you some candy later.”
Satoru furrowed his brow and retorted, “Hey, are you treating me like a kid?”
However, despite his protest, Satoru did not refuse the offer.
That day, Yuuji returned home very late due to extra training. The only store on campus was closed. Realizing that he had forgotten to buy candy and would have to appease his angry senpai later, he unconsciously quickened his pace to the dormitory.
To his surprise, when he pushed open the dormitory door, all the lights were on but Satoru was nowhere in sight.
Confused, he walked in and noticed a small lump on Satoru’s bed.
Curious, Yuuji poked the lump and it trembled in response.
A white head emerged from under the blanket, accompanied by an overwhelming amount of alpha pheromones.
Yuuji instinctively covered his nose and asked him in a muffled voice: “Senpai, what are you doing? Why are you hiding yourself under the blanket?”
“Yuuji?” Satoru threw aside the cat pillow he had already destroyed beyond recognition and pulled Yuuji into an embrace. “Why did you come back so late?”
Yuuji was taken aback for a moment, awkwardly patting Satoru’s back and asking, “Because of extra training, senpai. Are you feeling unwell? Is everything okay?”
Gojo Satoru did not deny this.
If there is no denial, then that means he admits it, right?
Struggling to maintain his composure, Yuuji asked him, “Did you take your suppressants, senpai?“
Satoru nodded from within the embrace and said vaguely, “But it’s no use.”
Yuuji found himself in a dilemma.
He could feel Satoru’s pheromones growing stronger and stronger. If they were in public, there was no doubt that the alarms would have been triggered by now. And as an unmarked omega, it was dangerous for Yuuji to be alone with an alpha in their rut.
Trying to pry Satoru’s arms away, Yuuji found them tightly wrapped around his waist. Tears continued to stream down Satoru’s cheeks like a river, even soaking through Yuuji’s clothes. He gently coaxed the clingy alpha,
“Senpai, let me go first. I’ll go out and buy you some inhibitors, okay?”
“No.” Satoru shook his head stubbornly. “Stay here.”
With a sigh, Yuuji relented, “Okay, I’ll stay here with you.”
Satoru hesitated to let Yuuji go, fearing that he would run away immediately after releasing him. His blue eyes remained locked on Yuuji’s during the process, like a child afraid of being separated from an adult.
Yuuji found Satoru’s expression cute and couldn’t help but smile.
Satoru seemed unhappy and sniffed as he asked, “What are you laughing at?”
“It’s nothing,” Yuuji coughed twice and reassured him, “If you feel uncomfortable, just go to sleep. I won’t leave.”
Satoru nodded, but in his state he found it difficult to fall asleep. The pheromone concentration during this time was several levels higher than usual, even affecting an omega like Yuuji who usually had no reaction to alpha pheromones.
When Yuuji realized something was wrong with his body, his pheromones were unconsciously released. The air became saturated with both alpha and omega pheromones, causing his body to heat up. Yuuji gasped and tried to break free from Satoru’s grasp, but the dominant alpha in rut wouldn’t let him go. He simply pulled him back into his embrace.
Yuuji lost his balance and fell on top of Satoru, hitting the latter’s chin hard with his forehead.
He winced in pain and Satoru wasn’t much better off. He rubbed his chin with tears in his eyes and acted coquettishly towards the omega in his arms. “It hurts.”
“So why did you pull me...” Yuuji complained helplessly, but still checked if Satoru’s chin was okay.
Luckily, it was only slightly red.
Satoru then said, “You lied to me first. You said you wouldn’t leave.”
Yuuji patiently explained, “I didn’t lie. Your pheromones are just too strong, so I wanted to take a suppressant first.”
Satoru fell silent.
Yuuji thought he agreed and tried to pull his arm out of Satoru’s grasp.
But the alpha tightened his grip, holding Yuuji even closer. In a muffled voice, he asked, “Can’t you stay?”
“What?” Yuuji felt uncomfortable with Satoru’s arms around him. He turned his head to look at Satoru and was taken aback by a pair of pitiful blue eyes. He could see tears welling up in those beautiful eyes as if they were about to fall any second. The normally powerful alpha appeared fragile at this moment, like a cat circling around its owner’s feet, exposing its soft belly and making it hard for others to refuse its requests or leave it alone.
Yuuji weakly replied, “But if I don’t take the suppressant and we stay like this, it could be dangerous. You may not realize how much your pheromones have affected me. Even though I can still talk to you consciously now, nobody knows what might happen in the next second. The worst case scenario is that I might...”
I might go into heat.
Yuuji didn’t say it out loud.
But they both knew it.
Satoru’s burning gaze met Yuuji’s, the possessiveness in those blue eyes making it hard for him to look away. He could feel the danger emanating from the alpha, but he couldn’t escape. The pheromones surrounded him, seeping into his skin and blood, enveloping him in the powerful scent of alphas. It was as if he were being watched by a fierce beast that was determined to claim him. Despite knowing that Satoru could strike at any moment, Yuuji felt frozen in place.
In a hoarse voice, the alpha spoke: “Yuuji, I want to mark you.”
Although uncertain, Yuuji had a feeling that this mark would be different from the temporary ones they had used before. Satoru’s tone was more serious and unyielding than ever before. But he didn’t want to make any hasty conclusions, so he tentatively asked: “Senpai, what do you mean by that...?”
“I want to mark you permanently.” Satoru took hold of his hand and gently placed it on his face. His cheeks were flushed, and his eyes showed traces of tears. In a serious tone, he said to the omega:
“Yuuji, I’ve thought about this carefully. You want to stay here, and I want to help you stay here too. But using temporary marks every time is too dangerous. We can’t rely on them to get through every obstacle or keep your identity hidden. That’s why permanent marking is the safest option. Once you’re marked, you can stay at Jujutsu High School and graduate…”
Satoru rarely explained his decisions with such patience and openness to others. Yuuji listened attentively and felt relieved, yet also a slight tinge of disappointment.
That wasn’t the reason he wanted to hear.
But he couldn’t bring himself to say what he truly wanted to hear.
Satoru paused and added, “And most importantly, Yuuji, I like you. I want you to stay here with me, now and in the future…”
Yuuji’s eyes widened in surprise.
That’s exactly what he wanted to hear.
Satoru wanted to mark him permanently because he liked him, wanted to support him, and wanted to be with him forever.
At that moment, Yuuji hugged Satoru and exposed his glands without any hesitation: “Yes.”
“Senpai, I like you too.”
It seemed that he no longer needed to worry about being expelled from school.
