Moon yawned as he unplugged himself from his charging port.
He checked his internal clock and saw that he actually managed to wake up at around the same time Sun, Lunar and Earth woke up for work. That was a shocker. Well he had been having a lot of all-nighters recently to work on different projects here and there so for the past few days he’d been going to bed relatively early. He stretched his hands above his head before climbing out of the bed and heading out of his room in hopes of catching his siblings.
Well, and also Dazzle and Jack. They had moved in a few days prior so he always saw them running around the house if they weren’t at the daycare during open hours.
He lazily walked down to the stairs and headed into the kitchen to see Sun making breakfast. He was humming to himself happily before turning around and placing some plates on the island. “Oh hi Moon, you're up early that’s unlike you.” Sun huffed, grabbing a jar of Nutella and Peanut butter from the cabinets and putting it on the counter.
Sun didn’t have to make Lunar breakfast, Lunar was more than capable of making it himself, but Sun was always up before him so it had become part of the routine that the first one up in the morning made breakfast. And most of the time that was Sun. Moon was hoping he had woken up before Sun so that he could make breakfast for him and Lunar for once. But Sun always seemed happy to make their breakfast, and if he didn’t have time or energy Moon and Lunar were happy enough to make their own breakfast.
But with the new additions to the house, that meant Sun had to make more plates of food. Though Sun always took joy in making their food, especially for Evelyn. It seemed like he had missed making her her sandwich that he had memorized all those years ago. Besides, it’s not like everyone’s preferred breakfast was hard to make. Sun liked cereal, Moon and Lunar liked toast with Nutella, Evelyn liked BB and J extra nuts but no jelly and Jack just liked normal BB and J.
Yes Jack didn’t really need to eat, Solar hadn’t programmed or made him able to eat. But after seeing Dazzle and everyone else eating he had confided in Sun that he wanted to eat as well. So Moon was happy enough to give Jack the capability and want to eat like the rest of them. Jack seemed to like plain foods, and had a small amount of ‘safe foods’ he would eat on the daily. Dazzle was similar but only really liked eating nuts or sweets. Though she did like fruits on the occasion and wasn’t opposed whenever Sun offered her some.
“Yeah, I actually got to bed at a reasonable time last night so. Want help making breakfast? I can make my own.” Moon offered, grabbing the toast that had popped before Sun could and put it on a plate. Sun smiled and nodded, “I don’t really mind doing it though but thanks anyway.” Moon nodded and put another two slices of toast in the toaster for Lunar, grabbing the BB and J Sun had already finished making and putting it on the table they all sat at for breakfast. He put his toast on the seat he usually sat at and placed the BB and J on Jack’s before going back and waiting for Lunars toast to pop.
Sun soon finished Evelyn’s sandwich and placed it at her spot on the table between Sun and Jack. Lunars toast popped so Moon took it out and put loads of Nutella on it knowing Lunar would complain of it ‘not being enough’ if he put on a thin layer of the stuff. Speaking of the devil he could hear Lunar trudging their way up from the basement and into the kitchen. They were rubbing their eyes sleepily. “Morning Lunar.” He smiles, placing their plate on the table beside his.
Lunar never woke himself so Moon was guessing Sun had shaken him awake before making breakfast because he knew Lunar would lay in bed for a while before actually getting up. Sometimes Sun would have to go down a second time if he fell back asleep. They had tried setting alarms for him but he always ended hitting snooze or sleeping through them.
“Morning.” Lunar yawned before sitting at the table and starting to munch on their toast. “Thank you” Lunar mumbled with their mouth full of toast and Nutella getting all over their mouth with how much Moon had put on it. Moon chuckled and patted their head affectionately before sitting down and eating his toast to. Sun had left the kitchen, probably to wake Jack and Dazzle, though Jack was probably already awake and running around the room. Moon could hear his footsteps.

Sun walked up the stairs towards Jack and Evelyn’s room. He could hear Jack running around like usual waiting for her to wake up. It was endearing in a way.
Sun opened the door to see Jack was indeed running around the room impatiently. Sun sighed fondly as he entered the room. “Jack if your up before Dazzle you can always just go downstairs, your breakfast is there already anyway.” Sun informed him, putting his hands on his hips as Jack pulled to a stop in front of him and looked up at the taller animatronic. Jack paused to a second as if thinking things through. “That is a good point.” Jack smiled, running around the room in a circle once more before running out the door and down the stairs. At least his attachment issues were getting better.
Sun sighed before walking over to the bunk bed and climbing up the Ladder to see Dazzle sleeping soundly with her Sun plush. She was always a sound sleeper. Sun smiled fondly, gently shaking her shoulder to wake her up. “Dazzle, it’s time to wake up.” Dazzle hummed lightly, her eyes blinking open. She yawned and reached a hand out to Sun. “Hiiii Sunnnn.” She yawned, rubbing her eyes. Sun huffed a smile, gently unplugging her charging cable Moon had made her. (Even though hypothetically she didn’t need one considering she was ghost possessing the body-)
“Morning Dazzle.” Sun smiled, lifting Evelyn up into his arms and taking her down the ladder. He knew she was very capable of getting down the ladder herself, she had done it many times before, but Sun liked holding her. It made him feel like nothing else could happen to her if he just held her close. Evelyn didn’t seem to mind though, since getting her new body she loved being held and cuddled. Sun even managed to catch her and Moon cuddled up on the couch watching Lego monkey kid with Evelyn in Moons lap. He took several pictures with the cameras in his eyes to say the least.
“What are we doing today Sun?” Dazzle asked excitedly as Sun walked down the hallway and to the stairs. Sun hummed in though as he readjusted Dazzle on his hip slightly. “Well, today is arts and crafts day! So we’ll be making some drawings and making bracelets.” Sun smiled, Dazzle let out a very sleepy squeal of excitement, resting her head on Suns shoulder and chest. Sun smiled, holding Dazzle alittle tighter as he made it into the kitchen and to the breakfast table.
Lunar has already finished his toast and was chatting with Moon while Moon finished off his. Jack was taking his time, tearing the BB and J into small segments before slowly eating each piece. For someone who liked to go fast he sure did eat slow. But Sun didn’t mind, if it got him to eat then it was fine. It wasn’t hurting anyone. He placed Evelyn in her seat and she immediately starts yapping to Jack, having the time of her life before turning her attention to her sandwich. When Sun made her her sandwich for the first time she had gotten so excited, remembering it was her favourite and was so happy Sun remembered it even if she hadn’t until then. It broke Suns heart to know she had forgotten what her favourite snack was.
Sun sat down beside her and started eating his cereal, talking to Moon and Lunar while Jack and Dazzle chatted quietly and Jack picked at his meal. Dazzle soon finished her food and picked her plate up, walking over to the sink and stepping on the stool Sun had put there so she could put her plate in by herself. She liked to be independent, that hadn’t changed. Lunar then got up and did the same realising he actually had finished his food. Moon got up and took Suns empty bowl which Sun gave him a grateful smile before Moon put them in the sink as well and started washing them.
Jack was still picking at his breakfast, he looked up and then back to his food and looked like he was trying to eat it faster. “Jack take your time, it’s okay you don’t have to rush it just because we all finished first.” Sun comforted, placing a hand on his shoulder as Evelyn sat back down at the table, happy enough to wait on Jack to finish. Jack huffed lightly but nodded and slowly but surely finished the last two segments of BB and J he had tore off, leaving the crusts. He said he didn’t like the crusts because they ‘didn’t feel like bread.’ Evelyn liked the crusts though so she happily scooped the crusts off his plate and into her mouth with a giggle.
Sun smiled fondly and took Jacks plate, patting the younger bots head affectionately before taking the plate over to the sink. Moon took it and finished washing the dishes and placed them on the drying rack. Sun gave him another grateful look before returning to the table. Moon had been trying so hard to be a better brother and it was very clear to Sun. He was grateful his brother was trying, sure sometimes he wasn’t the best at being a good brother but he was trying. And he was making great improvements on his tone, his behaviour, his jokes. Sun was proud of him.
“Okay everyone grab your stuff, and I’ll open the portal.” Moon said with the clap of his hands. Dazzle huffed excitedly and grabbed her Sun plush with a smile. Lunar grabbed his phone and shoved it in his pocket while Moon loaded up the portal. Lunar went in first, then Jack who was closely followed by Dazzle. Sun gave a tired but content sigh as he neared the portal. Moon gently placed a hand on his shoulder and gave him a soft look. “Your doing great brother. She’s happier then I’ve ever seen her. And Jack looks happier to.” Sun nodded, chuckling slightly as he pushed back tears. He hadn’t realised how much he cared about Evelyn, about Dazzle, until she was right there with him once again. All he wanted was to take care of kids and make them happy, even Jack.
