   Summary

   Will Graham wakes up at 6:14 A.M. in Wolf Trap, Virginia, shaken by a nightmare. He dresses in his usual flannel and aftershave and starts his morning routine of feeding his six dogs. His routine is interrupted by Jack Crawford, who arrives at Will's door, asking for his help on a case involving the Chesapeake Ripper. Despite Will's reluctance, he agrees, and they drive to a crime scene in Baltimore, where they meet Dr. Hannibal Lecter. Will feels a deep connection and discomfort when viewing the Ripper's handiwork, slipping into a mindset that isn't entirely his own as he analyzes the scene.
