   After what could’ve been a small eternity, Leon shifted in his place, a low whine escaping him. His eyelids fluttered, his brow creasing, as if he was having a nightmare. Patiently Krauser kept his hand where it was, a steadying touch, even brought his left palm on Leon’s shoulder to keep him from thrashing too much.

   Then, finally, those blue eyes flickered open. It took a moment for Leon to focus his gaze, but when he did, his eyes widened in shock.
