   Summary

   The man, vampire, hovering above him and straddling his hips, his arms pinned beneath his knees, is beautiful.

   He’s made of starlight, silver eyes burning in the dim light of the alleyway, white skin luminescent and almost glowing from within, fangs flashing as he licks his lips.

   Their eyes meet, and the entire universe shifts on its axis, everything around them fading away into nothingness. His lungs feel frozen, those silver eyes staring into his very soul, and he’s never felt so terribly seen. He finally manages to gasp in a shallow breath, lungs filling with the scent of vampire, and instead of the usual panic and rage that accompanies it all he feels is a sense of peace.

   He supposes that dying here, at the hands of the most beautiful creature he’s ever seen, isn’t the worst way to go.
